The Prettiest "Unpretty Rap Star"s

Helloooooo readers! Has anyone heard of the hoppin' show "Show Me the Money"? No? That's a shame...anyways, there is going to be a new female rap survival show! *happy dance* YAY!

*cue all female fans who dream of rapping but when put on the spot, know that they'll probably try to make up words to make it sound rhyme-y*

"Unpretty Rap Star" is essentially the female spin-off of "Show Me the Money", which is a show you auditon for and have the possibility of being eliminated. In 'URS', there are 8 already known female rappers who will compete every week for the opportunity to record a track with top producers in the K-hiphop industry. At the end of the show, all the tracks will then be compiled into an album that will be released. You go girls!

The 8 females rappers who will be starring on the show are:

1.  AOA's Jimin

 

2.  Cheetah

Note: Cheetah was also on season 1 of "Show Me the Money".

3.  Jolly V

4.  Kisum

5.  Lil Cham

6.  Lucky J's Jessi

7.  Tymee

Note: Tymee was also on season 3 of "Show Me the Money".

8.  Yuk Jidam

The show will be airing on the 29th of January, 11PM KST and will be running for six weeks, airing every Thursday.

I personally love K-hiphop, but I have to admit that I haven't listened to many female rappers. I usually stick to Swings, Simon D, Dynamic Duo, Verbal Jint, and so on. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out, especially since 7 out of the 8 are underground rappers while 1 (Jimin) is an "idol" rapper.
