I'm an author who loves Kdramas." *Microphone squeals so loud, the one person in the audience stands up and leaves* *Looks off to stage left* "Um, Kmuse, maybe you should reconsider letting me on your blog?" But seriously, I'm soooo thrilled to be on The Crazy Ahjummas today. This is like, a dream come true. I can't believe they even let me in the room, but here I am.
Now that we've gotten past the awkward introduction, let's get straight to the post. Because I'd rather talk about Kdramas, anyway. One of the best things about Korean dramas is that, well…they’re
Korean. There’s something really cool about watching a program in a different
language, and learning about a new culture *cough* and chocolate abs *cough*.
Sometimes---not often---but sometimes, I wish the show was in English. Then I could walk away from the screen for half a second and not miss a single word. So I figured, hey, why not make that dream a reality? Sort of.
Let's get one thing straight from the start. The massively popular My Love From Another Star has been confirmed as an ABC remake. It's GOING to happen. I just don't want them to screw it up.
There are just so many dramas out there that I want to talk about. So many great moments and characters that I learned to love. How can one just whittle the list down to a small handful of options. It's impossible. So instead of doing the usual top 5 I decided to go all rebel and have 7 categories with my favorites listed within. What? Dramas are like my children, you can't just pick one over the other.
I would first like to thank everyone who has sent me suggestions on what topics I should cover in my Top 5 countdowns! It has really gotten me excited to work with this segment as well as given me a lot of future ideas. As I was going through the hundreds of dramas that I have watched trying to pick my favorite drunken kdrama moments, I realized that I might have more than just 5 so you get a few extra bonus moment of hilarious imbibement as a thank you for following our blog. #5 Don't Drink and Date- My Secret Hotel
Number five on the list is from the newest show on our recap list (be sure to check it & our recaps out) My Secret Hotel. Who knew that Yoo In Na could play such a likable drunk. Her character Sang Hyo goes into despair when she is forced to plan her ex husbands wedding, which leads to a couple drinks, which in turn leads to her flopped on the floor of the hotel, proposing to her boss. That is one way to get noticed by your hottie boss.
#4 Drink til you are Drunk and Then Some - History of A Salaryman
Next we have a scene from one of my all time favorite dramas "History of a Salaryman". It is always on the top of my recommend list and one of the most underrated dramas out there. Bratty chaebol heiress Yeo Chi challenges a local mob boss (and two of her coworkers) to a drink off with the last one standing (or not throwing up) winning a boon of their choice. Yeo Chi manages to drink everyone under the table and still be sober enough to trick her crush into taking her home. That is truly a talent worth photographing.
#3 Drunken Possession-The Masters Sun
Nothing screams comedy more than a fun comedic actress becoming a dog due to ghostly possession. Luckily for Tae Kong Sil (and we viewers), this only happens when she imbibes and her emotional boundaries are down. Leading man, Joo Joong Won, got an unexpected midnight visitor when Kong Sil comes to visit possessed by the ghost of his dead ex-girlfriend. And then proceeded to see a whole lot of crazy as she was then possessed by a toddler, a seductive french dancer, and finally a feisty dog. Needless to say, Kong Sil should be careful to stick to Sprite in the future.
#2 Drink til you Feel the Urge to Reenact ET - My Love From Another Star
Doing something embarrassing while drunk is taken to a whole new level when it comes to our favorite alien. In a flashback Do Min Joon explains the events that lead to his current need for sobriety. Unknowingly drinking rice wine during the Joseon period, Min Joon got tipsy and lost his serious demeanor. Losing it by making things float in the air and taking a horse for a joy ride across the path of the moon. I guess that if I was alive during a time where they promptly killed anything unknown, I would try to keep my ET moments to a minimum as well.
3 WAY TIE FOR #1
Drunken Seduction - Witch's Romance
I love this scene where the romance really starts to heat up between our leading lady Ji Yeon and her much younger costar Dong Ha. We get a narration by Ji Yeon's BFF, Na Rae, who explains that somehow
her friend always seduces her boyfriends with her drunken crazy persona. As Na Rae is narrating we
see Ji Yeon compliment herself in front of traffic mirrors, fight with
banners, and order Dong Ha into her house to have another drink. The
drunken crazy is obviously in full swing.
Poor Dong ha did not have a chance
since a drunk Ji Yeon pretty much assaults him with her mouth. But after a second
he is fully involved and they move it to the bedroom. I will let you
all see the next parts via pictures since they truly do the scene better
justice than my prose can.
You Drunken Dog You - Reply 1994
This wins my vote for most unexpected reaction to drinking. Before all of the OTP (one true pairing) wars that this drama created, there was a wonderful drinking scene between the cast as they just hang out in the living room chatting and drinking beer. But it was when Sung Na-Jung (played by the hilarious Go Ara) started winking that it got truly amusing. Her roommate, Haetae, starts to tell in a voice over, that whenever Na Jung drinks she turns into a real dog. We see her walk over to her roommate/brother figure Trash and lean in really close. Just as you think she is going to passionately kiss him, she bites his lip instead. HAHAHA, truly a funny drama moment and makes you wonder how they filmed it without cracking up laughing.
Unsanitary Drinking - You're Beautiful
I will never forget one of my first and most memorable kdrama drinking scenes. This one makes me gag to this day anytime I recall and is truly the grossest drunk moment on our list. Nun turned kpop idol, Mi-Nam, has her first experience with champagne at a party where she is pretending to be her twin brother. Feeling dizzy and nauseous, the poor thing heads to the rooftop where she finds her unsuspecting band mate. Throwing up first in a planter (which is gross enough), she then falls on top of leading man and fellow band member Tae Kyeong. At which time she promptly throws up again IN HIS MOUTH... EW EW EW.. There is no amount of sanitizing that could make that poor boys mouth clean.

Did I fly thirteen hours just to squee at the SBS exhibit of My Love From Another Star? Of course not. No really. I did lots of other stuff on my recent visit to Korea. Perusing the love locks at Namsan Tower. Watching Super Junior's Kyuhyun get rolled in a puddle at the last musical performance of Singin' in the Rain. Huddling under my umbrella to block the blistering August sun as I strolled through Gyeongbokgung Palace. But crouching outside Do Min Joon's intercom, making my best anguished "Do Manageeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr!" face places high on the list of favorite things I did in Seoul. All I was missing was a pair of sparkly heels. Unfortunately, they were kept under glass in a different part of the tour.
If you missed the news, SBS took over the space at Dongdaemun Design Plaza where Chun Song Yi made her ill-advised swan dive off the balcony, and they recreated the sets from My Love From Another Star. For those who can't drop everything and grab their passport, hopefully this gives you a taste of the shipper's paradise.

The employee seemed shocked that two non-Asian American women looked so enthralled with . . . well, everything. We informed him that we LUVED it. I guess most of the fans visit from closer places like China or Japan. But we weren't the only far-flying groupies in the country. My Aunt and I met a Saudi Arabian family only the night before that adored dramas. They seemed hesitant to visit the MLFAS extravaganza, thinking it was only a bunch of pictures. I hope they listened to us, because they missed out if they didn't attend.
He actually looks good in a gat!
How does Kim So Hyun pull off one of those crazy, see-through top hats? I walked through a space age, lighted tunnel to enter the exhibit. Had I found the famous wormhole? A huge picture of Joseon Min Joon plastered the wall in front of me. Rows of ancient style, high heels lined up on the floor. Tragic teenage widow's hairpin sat in a place of honor. And there was even a place to practice our old-timey hackysack skills. (For those who see this on variety shows like 1 Night, 2 Days and wonder what the big deal is, it's harder than it looks.)
Slumber party, anyone?
I'll bring my own caterpillar sleeping bag! Oh, the apartments. So close you could almost touch them. Forget almost. Visitors were allowed to enter Do Min Joon's bedroom and pose on the bed, complete with gauzy curtains. You had to pay through the nose to lounge in his special white chair under the tree or sashay down the twisty, library stairs, but one girl obviously thought it was worth it. And, finally, you got the chance to meander through Chun Song Yi's living room, and see the little details you might have missed in the drama. Like the messy stacks of mangas under her side table, or the black and gold couch pillows with blessings on them.

Korea knows how to capitalize on the commercialism. They feel very American in that way. The gift shop offered things like Jeon Ji Hyun's leopard print sleep mask, or our sleepy alien's wood block alarm clock. And there was an entire cafe devoted to Chicken & Beer.
Lest you think my Do Min Joon sightings ended there, let me just say that Kim Soo Hyun is EVERYWHERE. He must be making a fortune in CFs. But my favorite close encounter was while wandering down an aisle at Lotte Mart (their version of Target) and finding the faces of Do Manager and Chun Song Yi side by side. Cue the background music as you enjoy one last picture . . . You are my destinnnnnnyyyyyyyyyy.

So I would just like to apologize to all my viewers who were driven crazy by the fact that I had skipped a month in my last three blog posts. In all the titles I stated it was March instead of February. Ooops. The only excuse I have is that my birthday is in March and so I must have really really been looking forward to it and skipped February all together. I have since gone and fixed all the posts and am feeling very very absent minded. I don't know why, but I have no problems keeping track of 17 different dramas cast, airing times, subbing locations, plot lines, and all. But ask me what month it is and I am sure to get it wrong half of the time. Priorities Kmuse, priorities - face palm to head.

I decided to add a favorite song of the week to the top 5 countdown. Usually there is some OST (Official Sound Track) that I play over and over again or there is a really great kpop release that deserves a mention. This weeks, and our first ever, song of the week is brought to us from the My Love From Another Star OST. Towards the last fourth of the drama, they introduced us to this song sung by the leading man himself Kim Soo Hyun. Many of you are aware of his amazing singing ability from Dream High, but for those of you who are not, be sure to check him out!
#5 Accidental Meeting in the Rain
Usually I don't add this drama into my countdown. Part of the reason
is that this is the drama I am currently recapping every week, but also
since the majority of the drama is very subtle and slow moving so there
are not often those WOW scenes that I love to put in the countdown.
But congrats to INR3 pulling out all my emotions right before the finale
with this amazing scene.
Joo Yeon starts walking home but gets caught in a sudden rain storm and
runs to a pavilion in the park to avoid the downpour. Joo Wan, having
given up and come back to see her also ends up in the same pavilion and
she assumes he is just another hallucination. (for those of you not following this drama he moved out of her house and she is constantly having visions of him in her life still) "Get lost I don't want to
be considered a crazy person talking to myself." Joo Wan tells her " I
am the same, I close my eyes and see you, I open my eyes and see you." Joo Yeon gets snippy and says that they were not even dating when he yells "We were dating.What we did is what normal women
call dating." He starts to stalk off but comes right back telling her
that he is so angry with her and angry that he can't walk away because
he can see that she is sick. And while he does not care AT ALL, he is
going to stay with her til the rain clears and then he is gone.
This is a great scene depicting the push and pull of a relationship. Can't wait to watch the final two episodes this week. INR3 Rain Clip
#4 The Hand Under the Freaking Bed!
Our #4 moment comes from the drama Let's Eat, known for its cute food porn moments and quirky characters. But can we leave all the sweet and happy behind for a second and talk about the creepy hand under the bed? This show has done an amazing job of mixing lighthearted romance and situations with the sinister serial killer creepiness to the point that you totally forget about the bad guys until BANG.................. A hand is shown under one of the characters bed! In episode 14 we get the resolution to the local serial killer (in his own right is creepy as heck) who is caught by the police so we the viewers assume that it is easy sailing for the last two episodes. I am all ready to fall in love with our OTP and have everyone wrapped up in a pretty pink bow of happiness. But just when you think it is safe to live by yourself we see the cute next door neighbor girl leaving her apartment with packages in hand, and then DUN DUN DUN (imagine sinister music) the camera pans towards the side of her bed and we see a human hand slowly move out from under the bed. What the HECK drama, you gave me nightmares. I was home alone by myself and could not get to sleep til 4 am because of this scene. So kudos to you for scaring the bajeebies out of me.
I could not find a clip for "the hand" so you guys get to enjoy the creepiness of serial killer boy. Love how crazy this actor made his eyes look. And his sing song speech gave me the chills.

#3 Act Like A Lady
YAY! We have a new drama making it's debut on our countdown this week. When I started watching Bride of The Century I have to admit that I was not expecting much. The trailers and synopsis had been slightly vague and confusing with talks of ghosts, look a likes, and curses. But after watching episode 2 I am now a firm fan and have been waiting impatiently for the next episodes. The two main characters played by Lee Hong-Ki (You're Beautiful - this drama might even break my need to call this actor Jeremy every time I see him) and Yang Jin-Sung (smaller characters in She Is Wow, City Hunter) have great chemistry. And while I don't see this drama being one that reinvents the genre, I still feel very happy when I watch it. My favorite running concept so far is how Na Doo-Rim (pretending to be her rich doppelganger) continues to let her lady persona slip in front of her "fiancee" his reaction to it. Don't know why but I just can't get enough of it.
My favorite moment so far is when she invades his bedroom, plays with his toys, and is caught by her having a sword fight by her fiance. Then when he tries to get frisky with her she literally causes him physical pain. Every time he gets his "what the heck are you" look on his face I just crack up. My new favorite couple clip
#2 A Father's Regret
For those of you watching King's Daughter Soo Baek Hyang you know that this is by far one of the best Sageuk (historical) dramas ever made in the genre. If you have not started watching this for whatever reason, then you should suck it up and start. IT IS AMAZING! 97 episodes in and it continues to just get better and better. In episode 95 we see King Muryeong have to deal with the consequences of his actions when his "real" son is found to have murdered his true love in a misguided act of revenge.
OK QUICK PLOT DESCRIPTION (the condensed version). King Muryeong's cousin (the current king) is murdered and he is forced to take the throne. Wanting to make sure his cousin's son eventually inherits the crown he switches him with his own son so that he can ensure the kingdom will go to the late kings son and not his. He sends his own son to be raised by the faction of the leaders that are against him to ensure his sons safety. Then he takes his cousins son and raises him as his own. Needless to say this causes problems later on when his own son seeks revenge for the person he assumes is his father, therefore killing his "real" fathers epic love and causing everyone involved some serious pain. Especially the King who finds out that when he thought his real son was happy living on the fringes of the court, he was really jealous and lonely causing him to betray the king.
I hope that made sense. Anyway back to the current episode. The king is forced to strip Prince Jin Moo of his title and is so angry he threatens to kill him. Prince Jin Moo tells him to do it since then he can go to the afterlife with his father and no longer be lonely. This of course destroys the King who was unaware his "real" son had such bitterness and pain within him. What follows is one of the best scenes of the whole drama.

#1 One Last Memorable Kiss
With the ending of My Love From Another Star, was there any question of it not receiving my #1 spot, we were left on a whirlwind of crying, crying, hope for a happy ending, and more crying. And whether you liked the ending or not we were sure dragged along for the emotional ride. The scene that stood out the most however was that "last" epic kiss. There have been some great kisses in this series. The time stood still kiss, the 15 sec kiss, the selfish kiss, but there was always something missing. They were all beautifully done but there was just not that extra oomph of passion that I know these two actors can deliver. So I was one happy camper when the final kiss was dramatic, intense, and passionate. Not to mention I totally loved the fact that he continued to "out" himself on the red carpet in order to claim his girl. Very romantic and made me so happy.

It has been such a great week for kdramas and I apologize for the lateness of my countdown this week. I was sick and had some vertigo problems and as I discovered, it is impossible to write a blog that makes any sense when everything is spinning. But something good did come out of my forced bed rest. I have found one doozy of a #1 for next week. It is a kiss that stands out among kisses and I bet that most of you have not even started the show yet. This is the first week where many of our shows have been preempted or delayed because of the Olympics (thankfully South Korea has a smaller Olympic team than the US so while some shows are preempted to watch competitions, the majority of our dramas are still airing) which has caused some problems in finding five "really epic" moments. Luckily we had an amazing performance by an Asian competitor in the Olympics so my top 5 was able to be rounded out without doubling up on any one drama. With that said, I hope you enjoy my countdown this week.
#5 I Love A Tough Female Character
So I will let you in on a secret. The actress that plays Gaya (Lim Soo-Hyang- New Tales of a Ginsaeng, I Do I Do) tends to play all of her characters very cold and wooden which usually annoys me. But luckily she was finally cast in as a character that is supposed to be very cold and wooden so it is no surprise that she NAILS IT! I have actually heard some people talk about how they don't like how the writers have made her so mean and unlikable. But I would say she is more strong and capable and surviving in a very harsh enviroment. She has that something that is almost always missing in historical heroines in dramas, intelligence and nerves of steal. There is nothing more annoying than having a girl go around ringing her hands and either whining or crying over life's hardships (I am looking at you 2nd lead Kim Ok-Ryeon) so it is nice to see a female character that not only is tough she is down right scary. In episode 10 we see Gaya arrive in Shanghai and then go alone into enemy territory. Also can I just say that visually this scene was amazing. The contrast of her in her beautiful Kimono against all the thugs in black was awesome and made her character look even more of a bad ass. So at least on my part I give kudos to the casting of Lim Soo Hyang because for once I am enjoying one of her dramas.
#4 Kim Soo Hyun's Tears
Is there something wrong with me that I kind of like to watch Kim Soo Hyun cry? Ever since watching him in The Moon That Embraces the Sun I just cant get enough of it. He not only does the pretty cry, but it eventually turns into an emotionally devastated cryfest that is raw and not pretty. Any time one of his characters does this it totally gets me sobbing right there along with him. We get to see a lot of crying in this weeks episodes of My Love From Another Star. It is no picnic having to tell your soul mate that you love her but you only have thirty days before you jump on your spaceship and disappear from her life. But his character does it with such emotion that I just adore this scene. That is why KSH's crying earns him a spot on this weeks top 5!

#3 Valentine Bromance
Our #3 moment is brought to you from ep 12 of Let's Eat. It's Valentines Day and Lawyer Kim Hak Moon is feeling romantic (never have I seen a funnier lovelorn character). He is buying Soo Kyung some chocolates and runs into Dae Young who guesses correctly about his unrequited love. Our love sick lawyer confesses his concerns and Dae Young is able to give him a huge pep talk. The true joy of this scene is that while the two talk about confessing and love angst they get really cute and bromancy to the point that they themselves look like a couple out on valentines day. Lets Eat is such a cute show and while it is obviously forcing the bromance moment on us with the subtly of a speeding train, it still is adorable and hits all the awwwwwww cute/funny buttons for the viewers.

#2 What is a Power Hungry Dad to Do?
I am really starting to enjoy the daily drama A Well Raised Daughter. On one side we have Jang Ha Na, the main girl who is pretending to be a man. On the other side we have a chaebol father who is planning a hostile take over of Ha Na's Soy Sauce Company. To his dismay he finds that his oldest illegitimate son (who mostly has been raised to be his dads thug) refuses to do anything that might hurt Ha Na. His daughter declares that she is going to marry him/her since he is so pretty. And his other son (who is Ha Na's roommate and the current love interest) tells his dad that he is pretty sure he is gay and loves his roommate. One cross dressing girl causing havoc in this poor tycoons life is very amusing. It also helps that for once we have a father who actually loves/listens to his children to an extent which makes the whole situation more funny then angsty. If you want a sense of the drama's romance then check out the below clip. Trying to make a condition conductive to cuddling (between main guy and their daughter) the evil mother ahjumma breaks the heat for the house. Ha Na goes to fix it and instead breaks a pipe. Her roommate/love interest also goes down to the boiler room to check on the heat and finds Ha Na drenched. Needless to say that sparks and water fly in this clip. #1 An Amazing Win at the Olympics
OK So I know this is not Kdrama related and that he is Japanese not Korean. But this guy's short skate program was amazing and one of the best things I have watched on TV this week. So Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu you are #1 on my list this week. Congrats to Yuzuru Hanyu on winning the Gold and breaking the record for the highest scoring short program in history!

I was watching all my shows like usual and really struggling to find something that stood out for my weekly countdown. I was just about to start picking some sub par moments and then I watched episode 11 of Lets Eat.....AND IT TOTALLY ROCKED!!! Half way through I was having such a hard time picking just one scene to use that I instead decided to just do my top 5 favorite moments all from this episode. YES! It really was that good. Now I am sure some of you are saying to yourselves....Kmuse, I am not watching Lets Eat. What about us? Don't worry, I do have a few scenes that I had squirreled away from other shows. They will be at the end of the post under the honorable mention header. If nothing else I hope this helps those of you that are on the fence about watching this drama take the proverbial plunge. It is such a wonderful guilty pleasure and is perfect for rounding out my week.
I tried to find as many clips as I could. However some scenes are not on youtube. So if you are interested in checking out the scenes described below I have added a time stamp for each segment. This is one of those dramas that has a lot of individual scenes so if you do check it out for the most part they don't really spoil plot points for the show as a whole.
It is impossible to not want to eat while watching this drama. I have to imagine that all the actors have gained some serious weight while filming since they eat..... A LOT. This director does a perfect job of not only making the food look amazing, but having the actors look literally orgasmic as they eat it all. You have to give credit to the show for making me sit through four minutes of watching people eat and still be entertained. See what I am talking about in the below clip! Food Porn Clip
#4 A Liar is My Ideal Type
Oh Do-Yeon and Yoon Jin-Yi are two of the characters that have shown an interest in our main guy Koo Dae-Young. Hilarity ensues when they finally meet face to face and instantly decide that they are rivals. Both start snapping at each other in the food line and it comes out that our leading man told both of them elaborate stories about a lost love (in order to keep them in the friend zone and not chasing after him). The best part is that when Lee Soo-Kyung comes between them and says that it looks like he had been lying to both of them. They just huff and say they don't care. #3 Dog Phobia
Lawyer Kim Hak Moon has had a crush on Soo Kyung since his college days when he was a totally geek and beneath her notice. Hiring her in some weird revenge fantasy he constantly switched between love and hate all the while keeping her oblivious to his feelings. He has finally decided that he loves her so in an effort to find common ground he asks about her dog. Now there are two things that Soo Kyung loves, food being the first and her cute dog being the second. Gushing about her dog she assumes that Hak Moon also wants a dog and drags him to the pet store. Unfortunately Hak Moon has a crippling fear of dogs and even touching a fluffy small dog has his hands shaking in terror. Through a series of misunderstandings and assumptions Soo Kyung decides that her boss really wants to adopt a large shelter dog (which gets him off the hook for now but what about in the future?). Deciding he needs to overcome his fear in order to get the girl, Hak Moon hilariously has a shouting match with his phone about finding a cure for fear of dogs. In the end he finds a dog that he can practice on....... a small barking kid toy hehehe. I cant wait til next week because I am sure this misunderstanding is going to be even funnier in the future. #2 A Slippery Save
This scene is awesome. I love how our leading lady is not going to fall in love come hell or high water......or freezing temps and ice strewn sidewalks. Gradually becoming aware that she has started to "like like" our hottie through this episode, Soo Kyung is fighting it tooth and nail. And when she slips on some ice and Dae Young saves her from falling, she gets extremely huffy tries to stalk off and promptly almost falls again. I love that he starts trying to convince her to get insurance for just these type of situations hehehe. This time Dae Young pulls her even closer and offers her his back (haha seriously why would you think a piggy back ride would be safer on ice). What could have turned into a romantic piggy back ride is rejected by our girl and tells him that he uses his back so much it might as well be a shuttle bus. She then takes off her shoes and walks across the icy sidewalks barefoot. HAHAHA I love that this is one girl who is not going to fall for the romantic ideals. She is cranky and anti love and she is not going to change, even if she ends up with frostbitten toes. Time stamp: 50:51

#1 That Boy Is Mine Karaoke Style
What happens when you add two battling oppa chasers, a flirty insurance salesman, one love sick lawyer, a goofy aid, and a prim and proper food addict in a karaoke room? Pure comedic gold of course. Not to mention a really great scene of Yoon Doo Joon's Karaoke version of "Troublemaker" (can someone tell me when he went from kinda goofy cute to steaming hot because I am still wondering how that happened within just a few episodes). The best is when both girls try to stake their claim on our hottie (even though he has turned down both - see #4 moment). They instigate a drinking war to see who should have him in the event that he ever decides to date again. While this is going on the Lawyer keeps sending the creepiest love looks at our leading lady who is oblivious to all and just wishing she could go home. Truly a great scene and my #1 Karaoke moment to date.

This concludes my special top 5 addition featuring Lets Eat. I hope it inspires some of you to give this drama a try. It starts off a little slow but really gains momentum and heats up as the drama goes longer.....Kind of like Yoon Doo Joon's hotness levels. Just be sure to eat before watching since if nothing else this drama will give you a serious case of the munchies.

Death Threats
I don't know why, but there is something so sexy when a man (or in this case our hottie alien) gets so enraged that he loses all control and just thrashes the bad guy. We were privileged to witness Do Min Joon go postal when he learned of Chun Song Yi's accident. He flashes into our evil psycho's office flipping over furniture and pretty much making it look like a tornado hit. He then grabs big bad by the collar (seriously this guy is crazy since he just continues to laugh) and when that is not intimidating enough he transports them to the roof and dangles psycho over the edge. And when he still does not seem afraid he lets him fall almost all the way to his death. Min Joon stops him barely a foot away from impact and threatened him: “If anything happens to that woman, I will come back to kill you. You
said you have a lot of things to lose. I’ll make sure you know the taste
of losing them one by one. In the end you will lose everything, and I
will show you what utter destruction is.” He then lets him fall the last bit of the way scraping up his face. It was truly one of those moments that makes you appreciate a man who can kill another with such drama. Also congrats to the amazing special effects and directing of this scene that was done with no green screen. They were all hooked up to wires and did the stunts on an actual building. Monday Couple is Back
Those of you who watch variety shows surely know about Monday Couple Gary and Song Ji Hyo from Running Man. They have been flirting and charming us every weekend for years and it was to everyone's surprise that we get to see Gary do a cute cameo on Emergency Couple as Song Ji Hyo's taxi driver. She sings as he drags her to the car and keeps calling him Gary...Gary.... to which he replies No I'm Dari (designated driver). The scene ends with her telling him that she has a feeling she will love him on Monday. Beyond cuteness and I truly wish that these two were a couple in real life. Gary Cameo Clip
Wow, Wow, Wow!
That is what I kept saying during all of Inspiring Generation episode 8. Well that and uncontrollable sobbing and gasping as the show packed in so many emotional and butt kicking scenes that I wondered if they were going to have anything left for the rest of the drama. It had everything from sword fights, shirtless training, cute romantic moments, epic bromances, gun battles, and one very pasty white kick ass vampireesque Korean who manages to look so so yummy and menacing all at the same time. Seriously this was all in one episode. Again if you are not watching this drama and like action genre at all........then you need to start this one ASAP. It has better action then Bridal Mask and better written then City Hunter (only thing CH has above this one is Lee Min Hottness Ho). It is quickly becoming my must watch drama of the week.

A Proposal
I watch Potato Star 2013QR3 for the fun comedy it brings in every episode. It is the perfect light filler in between all of my emotional dramas (I'm talking to you Inspiring Generation and My Love From Another Star). For the most part there is no big stressers in this drama, the one exception being the accident and memory lost of the oldest brother No Min-Hyuk
(Ko Gyung-Pyo - Flower Boy Next Door). After his accident (which resulted in glass fragments being embedded in his brain) he reverted to his 10 year old self and lost all memories after that time. Unfortunately for him he also started having his "first love", while in this younger state, for the girl who lives in his garage (Yes she and her mother really do live in his garage). Na Jin-A (Ha Yeon-Soo-Monstar) has been his anchor while he went through these scary events and while we don't know how she feels about him romantically (it is kind of hard to really have a romance when the guy has the maturity of a tween) she has become close with him emotionally. Realizing that unless he regains his memory he will always remain just an extra stress in other people's lives and not be able to become an "adult". Min-Hyuk decides to go through a risky surgery to remove the remaining fragments and hopefully regain his memories. He asks Na Jin-A to go to the amusement park with him the day before the surgery and at the end of the day he sits with her and tells her that he loves her. That he is going to have this surgery because even death is better then where he is now. And if he comes out of the surgery as an adult would she marry him. It was a truly tender and beautiful scene in a drama that I am used to being breezy and happy. Amusement Park Proposal Clip
This time it is truly the end, and this experience also makes me realize that I am glad I only do the top 5 best moments of kdrama each week and not the top ten. It takes some serious time to throw this all together when I start adding things. However, I hope you all enjoyed the little extra effort this week and can watch/start these great dramas that will have you laughing, crying, and probably sleep deprived in no time.
