The Ahjumma Scoop - Let's Get Our Chat On

It is time to eek out one last Ahjumma Scoop before I head out on vacation!  KCON HERE I COME!  So if you notice that our recapping schedule is just a bit off next week please bear with us, hotel wifi can be an absolute bugger to deal with.  But before we get excited about all things KPOP, let's chat about what we are currently watching.

Official Posters for Scholar Who Walks the Night

It's drama poster time! New official posters have been released for upcoming vamp historical drama, Scholar Who Walks the Night. Check 'em out - hot off the presses!

Hey, hey, the gang's all here.

"Scholar Who Walks The Night" Releases 2nd Trailer Full of Love and Daggers.

The 2nd Trailer for vamp drama "Scholar Who Walks The Night" is released and it is full of cutesy heroines, angsty vamps, and surprisingly, a lot of stabbing.  Who knew that there would be more stabbing than munching on necks?

More Stills from Scholar Who Walks the Night

New stills from on set of Scholar Who Walks the Night have been released and they're worth checking out. In them, we get a sneak peek at our vampire/cross-dressing Joseon couple, played by Lee Joon Gi and Lee Yoo Bi (even their names are kinda cute when put together).

1st Trailer for "Scholar Who Walks the Night" Focuses on Vampire Theme

It's finally out!  The first look, in trailer form, of upcoming vampire, cross-dressing, sageuk, "Scholar Who Walks the Night"  Woot!  Bring on the historical vampires (hopefully they will be more interesting than the sageuk period of Orange Marmalade that I am suffering through right now).

Lee Joon Ki Channels Vampire Angst in Stills From Upcoming Sageuk "Scholar That Walks The Night"

We finally get another taste of Lee Joon Ki's scholarly vampire.  To be honest, these are the least engaging of the stills that have been released so far and I was hoping for a little more otherworldliness.

Lee Soo Hyuk Channels his Evil Vampire Side in Stills for Upcoming Drama "Scholar Who Walks The Night"

I think it is funny that the topic of Lee Soo Hyuk's vampiresque vibe comes up every time he is in a new drama.  Finally, the topic is actually apt, as he plays the evil bad guy vampire in upcoming Saguek vampire drama "Scholar Who Walks the Night".

"Max Time" Goes Back in Time - Stills of Prince Changmin Released

A couple of intriguing still shots have come to us from the set of upcoming MBC drama, The Scholar Who Walks the Night, starring Lee Jun Ki and Lee Yoo Bi. They show our second male lead, Shim Changmin ("Max" of TVXQ)'s character, Crown Prince Lee Yoon, decked out in both royal finery

Teasers, Stills, and Posters for Upcoming June & July Dramas

We have a truckload of new promotional material that has piled up this weekend while i was out and about doing family stuff.  And rather than put it in individual posts I decided that we are just going to jump right in and check it out all at once.  Because really there is no such thing as too much drama information.

The Scholar Who Walks the Night - The Manhwa Comes to Life with Social Media Photos of Leads.

Now that filming has commenced for the upcoming vampire, saguek, cross dressing, manwha adapted drama "The Scholar Who Walks the Night", we can sit back and enjoy the BTS photos of the cast.  And there should be a ton since it is so popular to post photos on Instagram and Line now.  With both Lee Joon Ki and Lee Yoo Bi already sharing with the world, I think we are in for a BTS (behind the scenes) bonanza.

Kmuse's Musings - Kdrama Trends: Yay or Nay?

We all know that in Kdramaland the writers/producers/kdrama gods really love a good trend.  Love it enough that they saturate our tv's with a concept so thoroughly, that if we hear the word Noona Romance one more time, we involuntarily cringe.  So why do they feel the need to jump on a concept bandwagon?  Are they afraid that if they wait 6 mths that everyone will forget that they enjoy multiple personality dramas?
