The crocodile analogy continues as Yeo Jin chomps away at any competition to her power and position. But what happens when you are a rich, emotional, and a paranoid crocodile? If you guessed that you become swayed by outside forces (namely Tae Hyeon and Evil Secretary) then you would be correct. So lets chat revenge and how Tae Hyeon should run, not walk, away from his doomed marriage

Oh My Ghostess ep 13, 14 & 15: The End is Near
Our romance and our mystery/suspense really ramp it up as we prepare for the grand finale. Our couple has a few "little" things to overcome if they're ever going to be together. Possession, love triangles with dead girls, and an evil-spirit possessed foe/friend/brother-in-law out to get them for starters.

The Joseon Gunman Episodes 15 & 16 - Rioting and Regrets
Episode 15
I remember hearing somewhere that when people attempt suicide by jumping off bridges, it is not necessarily the drowning that kills you, but the impact on the water from such a high starting point. In other words, the water impact is the same as hitting cement and then after the initial impact the body sinks into the water and you drown if you are already not dead. Obviously this does not matter from the Korean cliff of death, where everyone (seriously I do mean everyone) somehow manages to survive regardless of previous injuries (such as gun or knife wounds), blood loss, or lack of swimming skills. I am pretty sure that no one EVER dies from this cliff face. You can add one more survivor to that list as Merchant Choi manages to escape deaths grasp by wearing a historic bullet proof vest, protecting his heart from the final gunshot fired by Yoon Kang. Of course we will just ignore the other two bullet wounds, the blood loss, and the massive fall since they don't really count. On one hand, YAY! Merchant Choi is alive and has a chance for redemption or mayhem (fine with either). But on the other, boo for the writers not jumping outside of the box and surprising us with a mid drama character death. Sometimes I would really welcome the surprise. The slap of finality has occurred and Hye Won and Soo In's friendship is officially over. This is no surprise to me the viewer. I think we saw the writing on the wall back when Hye Won oh so subtly told Soo In to back off her guy, although I am pretty sure that Soo In did not notice the warning signs. So it comes as a huge shock when she gets slapped for not knowing/admitting where her boyfriend is when confronted by a distraught Hye Won. What did she expect? Tea and crumpets with her friend who's father just got murdered by her boyfriend due to revenge over the father killing boyfriends father? Oh and let's not forget the attempted murder of Soo In's own father by said father Choi. Let's just call this friendship DOA and move on with the fallout from the cliff.
Yoon Kang is starting to feel some regret over his murdering Merchant Choi moment. Not sure if it was for the actual murder itself, or more for the need for the murder. Either way the writers are starting to give us a less hot headed lead as he goes forth with a less shoot first and think later revenge plan for the Creepy Political Ahjussi. He pretends to be Yamoto and goes to Creepy Ahjussi's house to get some recon on both the layout of his home as well as trying to see into CA's psyche. I personally think that this scene was put in so the stylists could yet again give Lee Joon Gi another makeover (he even looks good in a pervestache.) Or the director wanted to bring back the terminator vibe as Merchant Choi goes all crazy eyed and wakes from his "coma" when he hears Yoon Kang's voice. Either way, all the evil players in our political board game have finally met Yoon Kang so that is progress right?
Oh Vanilla Boy why are you just so, well, vanilla. Even being put in charge of the cities militia does nothing for your sexy romantic lead level. You are just the vanilla wafer of the combo pack, perfectly adequate, yet always picked last. I did have one surprise regarding his storyline. When Soo In found out who his father was she was actually pissed off and treated him poorly. REALLY? You are willing to be Besties Forever with Hye Won whose father is a known murderer (and attempted to kill your father), but you condemn Vanilla his parentage when all he has done is actually support you and your father, even when it puts him at odds from his own? Lets work on our character consistency Soo In.
Soo In continues to be a burden when it comes to Yoon Kang's safety. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you want to find Yoon Kang then just follow an oblivious Soo In to his "secret" hideout. This is exactly how Hye Won finds him........twice...........unfortunately just as I was starting to think that Hye Won is the perfectly developed character, the writers start to write her as a Bond Villain. You know the kind, the one's that spend more time telling you they are going to kill you, then actually killing you. I don't know if it is the extension curse coming into play or just the writers have run out of plot and need to drag things out, but two scenes with Hye Won staring crazy eyed and telling Yoon Kang why he needs to die was overkill.
Episode 16
I am sure that it will not come as a surprise that no one dies after episode 15's cliffhanger. Lots of posturing, threats, and tears ensued ended in a stalemate, as Yoon Kang and Soo In escape after disarming the gun toting duo. Although I would like to point out that if you are going to disarm your opponent, then don't leave the guns on the ground for them to recover. Smart villains would have picked up those guns quickly and shot the couple in the back. However no one is accusing the 2nd in command gunman of being smart. How many times has he been between by Yoon Kang so far? At some point you would think he would be smart and take a step back when pointing a gun at our hero.In despair over her failure in the revenge department, Hye Won raises her derringer (that she recovered from the ground where it had been thrown) and attempts to kill herself...........again......... this girl really is wanting to die over any failure. At the last moment her father, who of course is alive, stops her hand and tells her that even if he had died she must go on and be strong. YAY the Choi's are reunited and are also united in their hatred of Yoon Kang. Hye Won was just not pulling her weight as the big bad without the support of her father.
We finally begin to focus on the political aspects of the drama. I am so happy since I feel that we have been going in circles for a while now. The conservative faction lead by Creepy Political Ahjussi come together in a historical version of a frat initiation ceremony. Their plan? To displace the king and kill off the Queen and her family who were sprinkled strategically throughout the government. An ambitious plan that actually is overshadowed by their need to put it in writing, not only in writing, but in a cute visually stunning way that is oh so fancy. I was amused and thought it ended up looking kind of like a flower. Hiding in the shadows, lurks Yoon Kang in his gunman garb (how did he get in there without anyone noticing?) and as soon as everyone leaves he confronts Creepy Ahjussi and steels the damning document.
Yoon Kang quickly races it to the king, but it is too late as the conservatives start their rioting ahead of schedule and start butchering all the progressive leaders and queens family members. Luckily the queen is smuggled outside of the palace thanks to the quick thinking of Yoon Kang and Soo In. At least someone noticed the stupidity of escaping in a slow moving carrier, although escaping with a massive entourage in tow is still really dumb. And could you have not thought of somewhere safer than a known relatives house? Pick a random shack, is it more important to be comfortable or alive?
So here we stand. Bad guys trying to kill the queen, Yoon Kang trying to use justice to imprison Creepy Political Ahjussi, Soo In and Vanilla boy being kind of pointlessly thrown into the action. What will happen? Will Vanilla lead become interesting? Will Yoon Kang receive justice? Will the plot start moving faster (luckily I have it on good authority that the next several episodes are exciting, so I have high hopes)? Stay tuned and check back soon for my next recap.

King of High School Episode 15 - Grandpa's Swan Song
There is so much to discuss with this episode, most of it was expected, but in true High School King fashion the writers take the expected and squeeze every bit of emotion they can into the situation. So if you thought things were coming to a conclusion now that Min Seok's hyung has arrived, then you would be mistaken. Since I am very short on time because of the impending KCON trip, I will probably not get the chance to delve into every nook and cranny like I want to, but will try and hit the main points.
His plans for the destruction of Comfo surprise no one as we learn that Emotional Stunted CEO dad did indeed ruin Min Seok's father financially which led to him to his suicide (does anyone else kind of want to yell that maybe the dad should have manned up and dealt with life rather than taking the easy way out and ruining his families lives?) Hyung Seok of course has spent his life working his way up to a point of power where he could take down ES CEO, but just when he was about to begin his plan, he was detained over a murder investigation. (WHAT? WHAT WAS THAT? Did anyone else feel like this whole murder investigation thing seemed a bit out of left field? Was this just a random mistaken suspect kind of thing, or is Hyung Seok a lot more evil than I was expecting?) Whatever the case, this whole detainee situation is what led to him telling Min Seok to cover for him.
Hyung Seok worked behind the scene setting up a paper company (meaning a company that looks good on paper, but has no product or substance so anyone investing loses their money.) and getting Comfo to invest so much of their money that they would go bankrupt when Hyung Seok disappeared with the funds. Big brother tells all this to Min Seok, expecting full brotherly support. Instead Hyung Seok gets hit with a lot of questions on how is his revenge plan going to effect the people who work at the company? Not to mention Hyung Seok himself becoming a criminal because of his illegal revenge schemes. Would their father really condone his actions? Hyung Seok refuses to listen to reason and goes forward with his plans, circumventing Min Seok's threats to reveal all by moving up the board meeting by a day. Min Seok arrives too late and witnesses ES CEO collapsing as he realized that he had been duped (I personally don't feel too bad for him since he was a total egotistical jerk and refused to listen to his son or other naysayers because of his own greed).
Hyung Seok's arrival was not really the focus of this episode, at least for me anyway. The real character that got his moment to shine was Grandpa Choi Man Seok. What a touching and heartfelt sendoff for a truly memorable character. We watch as Grandpa spends all his time waiting for Hyung Seok to arrive, finally getting only a few minutes of his grandsons busy time. However, Hyung Seok promises to take Grandpa to the aquarium and truly seems to have feelings for his adopted family (at least he is not a total cold snake.) But when it arrives at the promised time Hyung Seok is nowhere to be found and Min Seok ends up convincing grandpa that "pretty unni" is a great 2nd choice. I loved the aquarium date as we see Soo Young, Min Seok, and Grandpa run around looking at all the displays. Nothing is more adorable than watching Grandpa constantly stealing Soo Young's attention and Min Seok is left playing third wheel, eventually sneaking into a picture with the other two.
But ominous foreshadowing began as we saw grandpa fall asleep in his chair, a pair of angel wings upon his back. Min Seok and Soo Young cutely flirting as they let grandpa sleep. Soo Young learns that he is ticklish and Min Seok offers to let her touch literally anywhere else on his body except under his arms. HEHEHE Soo Young begins blushing and her mind obviously went where any good fangirls goes, and Min Seok again teases her for being a lustful grandma.
Luckily grandpa's time is not up yet (I seriously thought he had died at the aquarium and breathed a sigh of relief when he woke up) and they end the date with Grandpa informing Min Seok that he planned on remarrying Pretty Unni. AWWWWWWW that is so adorable I can barely handle all the cuteness. Especially when Min Seok objected and grandpa gave him a kiss on the cheek trying to get permission. I was already starting to tear up since the foreshadowing kdrama gods had spoken and I knew that Grandpa's death was imminent.
We get several more false final nap moments after which I am a total emotional wreck. I keep thinking it is time for the "last" nap and keep getting tricked. So by the time it actually occurs I am, stick a fork in me, done. Grandpa escapes yet again and goes on a quest to find Hyung Seok who is currently avoiding his family because of his revenge scheme issues. Grandpa makes it all the way to the lobby of Hyung Seok's apartment complex, carrying the Nemo fish doll he had bought for his grandson. Father Choi, Soo Young, and Min Seok find him dozing on the lobby's couch waiting for his Hyung Seok. Only this time when they try to arouse him from his sleep, Grandpa's head falls back and his arms drop. Grandpa passed away while awaiting his beloved grandson who was too busy to spend time with his family. I also really enjoyed how instead of the usual loud break into the ending, we get a silent tribute to grandpa's scenes in the drama, similar to a remembrance video.
I just want to thank the writers and the actor who played grandpa, for creating such a memorable and heart touching character. He truly was a hidden gem within this drama.

Hyung is BACK!
Let me just let my inner fangirl out for a moment. SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! Wow! I knew that I would appreciate more Seo In Guk but I was not prepared for how amazingly sexy Hyung Seok actually is. It truly is amazing how he can play two characters side by side and you can tell that they look similar but there is a totally different feel coming off of each. They did a wonderful job of aging the older brother while keeping Min Seok clearly the younger brother. Hyung Seok's cold and standoffish personality is a perfect contrast for Min Seok's more informal and open characteristics. Seo In Guk plays opposite himself with great chemistry and enough hotness to send this fangirl into a coma of joy.His plans for the destruction of Comfo surprise no one as we learn that Emotional Stunted CEO dad did indeed ruin Min Seok's father financially which led to him to his suicide (does anyone else kind of want to yell that maybe the dad should have manned up and dealt with life rather than taking the easy way out and ruining his families lives?) Witch's Romance Episode 15 - Happily Ever After........Almost??
Episode 15 was a fun episode that was all about giving the fans what they want, namely a lot of couple cuteness and smooches. Because when it comes down to it, that is all a fan wants at the end of the day from a romantic comedy. And thankfully that was all delivered, and then some.
Thanks to their besties interference, both have sex on the brain and a plan to end their dry spell. I laughed out loud when I saw that Ji Yeon was reading a How to Seduce A Younger Guy book. Looking in a mirror and wondering what she should wear for her seduction, she is embarrassed when Dong Ha catches her prancing. He also sees the book on her coffee table. Hehehehe busted. He asks for a beer (so subtle Dong Ha) the drink that started them down the road to sex last time. Both avoid eye contact and she brings out around 24 beers on a platter. HAHAHAHA But it does not even take one beer, before both are making out on the floor..............and are interrupted by Ji Yeon's mother who comes barging in (Time to change your door code.) She complains about younger men and their issues, specifically president's issues, and wonders why the beer she is drinking is so shaken up. Dong Ha and Ji Yeon just give each other cute looks over her head.
Only one more episode to go and then we will be saying goodbye to this wonderful world. I promise to work as fast as possible to get the finale recap out by tomorrow afternoon.

Bring on the Cute
The morning after Dong Ha's confession is so so cute. He snuggles his pillow grinning with joy (totally squee moment there!) and Ji Yeon is stalking his doorstep, wondering why he is not out yet. YAY for team love. I am so glad we are getting all of the cute OTP moments that we were hoping for from the beginning.
Lovers and Coworkers
Ji Yeon goes to work and is shocked to see Dong Ha who is having a chat with her nemesis. Ji Yeon runs to intervene and misunderstands what they are talking about, thinking Dong Ha had just told her coworkers that they are dating. Love the repeat of the scene from episode two where she again totally misunderstands what he is saying since all that is on her mind is their new "couple" status.
The End of a Drama Means Filler
I am sensing the need for some plot filler in the first half of the episode. Since we are towards the end the writers want to put our OTP (One True Pairing) together as much as possible and had to figure someway to get them back into the workplace. I find it kind of amusing that he will be working for her rival this time. It provided some cute laughs, but again, feels like filler that is needed to stretch the series to 16 episodes. Yup, I was right. All filler and he only lasted as an employee for a few days before she made him quit.
A Witch's Seduction
The "A Witch's Seduction" talk with Ji Yeon's coworker makes Dong Ha jealous and he starts putting down the law. Dong Ha tells her that he does not like other men seeing her pretty legs and takes her shopping where he is determined to find something that covers her from her neck to ankle. She just takes it in stride since he is so cute when he is jealous, but then is mistaken for his sister when she goes to check out. OUCH. The downside to dating a younger man.
Sexy Ddukbokki
Dong Ha feeds Ji Yoon a bite, then takes one for himself while calling her "Honey". So adorable! But then he gets sexy when he goes to feed her a bite, then bite/kisses the other half from her mouth. Total Squee moment for our cute OTP. Who knew that ddukbokki could be romantic. (Personally it is my least
favorite Korean food that I have tried so far. However if I got a cute
kiss like that one, I would suffer through)
Age Gap
Know what is even worse then having a boyfriend who is 14 yrs younger than you? Your boyfriends BFF's dating people much younger then them. This age gap leads to awkward conversations and makes the person who is older, really feel their age. It also pushes our OTP into having a serious heart to heart about their relationship fears. Ji Yeon worries that Dong Ha's "heart will change", since she has first hand knowledge how hearts really can change. He hugs her and reassures her that he is in it for the long hall and that he is worried when she goes off without him. I like that they both are being open about their feelings and fears. With the things they will have to overcome to make it for the long hall, good communication is a must.
Taking the Next Step
Finally they are connecting emotionally! YAY for sweet moment. But this is a cable show, and since the almost hit a home run in the second episode, we are expecting a little more than a kiss. Unfortunately, Dong Ha seems to be a bit timid when it comes to taking things to the next level. Ji Yeon is also worried that her sexy skills are non-existent after such a dating dry spell. Add to that, the fact that Ji Yeon is trying to not look like a love sick stalker girlfriend, and things are just not progressing.
Curse the Writers
You would think that everything would be smooth sailing from here on in. They both have confessed their love, Dong Ha is going to go back to school, they have overcome every hurdle including the 14 year age gap and the whole "physical" parts of their relationship........except now we have one little work related fly in the ointment. Ji Yion wins a prestigious award which requires her to head to England for a year, in some kind of exchange program. WHAT? Seriously writers, we have suffered and suffered to get this OTP together, and now you are going to separate them? (actually let me curse the writers of the original Taiwanese version, since the kdrama writers are just following the original story. Curses upon the Tdrama writers that can't let our OTP be together without that one added bit of drama.)Only one more episode to go and then we will be saying goodbye to this wonderful world. I promise to work as fast as possible to get the finale recap out by tomorrow afternoon.

Gap Dong Episode 15 - Is a secret really a secret if everyone knows it?
It's times like this that I regret that I do not drink alcohol. I suspect that being slightly buzzed would have improved thing considerably when watching this episode. I just don't know what it is. All the elements one needs for a top crime thriller are present. Captivating characters......check, Intelligent well thought out murders....check Good vs Evil.....Check Super dynamic bad guys.......Check. And yet when all the elements are combined, things are still just slightly off. It is as if the drama is a waltz, the characters are trying to dance the waltz, but the music is reggae. The beats just don't match and turn into a hot mess.
