{Dramatic December Review} Full House 2

It's December.  I'm driving this review bus alone at the moment while my trusty cohort takes some much needed time off for bigger and better.  Lucky for you, my bigger and better is a whole lot less big and better than hers so I still have some time to crank a review or two out, even if not perfectly on schedule.  Take this week for example.  Thursday (my normal writing day) I got to spend a vast majority of my day at the Mayo Clinic getting a really fun test done to check on my possibly pesky gallbladder (isn't aging super duper?).  I was welcomed home by the head cold I've been fighting all week, and prematurely thought I had beaten, rearing its ugly head and coming back in full force for round two.  I'm sure it had absolutely nothing to do with the many hours spent surrounded by sick people.  No, even I know that that's not possible, but still, it does make one suspicious.  Something you may not know about me, but I am officially the world's biggest baby when I don't feel well.  My dear husband will sally forth and tally ho like nothing is wrong, but me?  Nope.  A little sore throat, some aches and pains and I spend all day in my bed watching dramas and TV and stalking the internet.  And whine and complain even though it's just me and the dog and she doesn't really care.  And since I have found a way to take dramas and TV to bed with me but not my computer (hopefully Santa gets our letter this year where we ask for a laptop then I'll never have to leave my bed - glory be!), this means that my review is a tad tardy.  But you probably aren't surprised.  This is, after all, beginning to be quite the habit.  Bad Dongsaeng.  I'm scolding myself something right fierce at the moment.  Okay, maybe not quite, but I do feel a little regretful.  I am a professional after all, a professional with hard deadlines.  Set by...myself.  Ah!  The joys of being a blogger!  Freedom to post whenever I darn well please.  No boss hovering over my shoulder and breathing down my neck.  This creative stuff takes time you know.  I don't just sit down here and start typing this genius material.  Okay, well, yes I do.  Which is probably why calling it "genius material" is also a bit of a stretch.  Even I, in my tongue-in-cheek false delusions of grandeur, know that.  But it's still funny to joke around about it.  Good naturedly put myself down by cleverly and sarcastically overstating its awesomeness.  See how I do that?  Genius.

So, I have a few borrowed moments before this brief reprisal of cold symptoms gets the better of me and I crawl back to my sick bed and I decided to spend them with you, chatting about Full House 2.  I know, I know.  I said I probably wasn't going to continue, but there's just one week left, so why not?  That and I'm still not fully invested in I Miss You quite yet.  I've made it to somewhere in episode 4, but let's not get ahead of myself.  That review will come in another post.  Good thing we've got a long road still to haul with that drama and I have a bit of time to play catch up.  You know, at the most crazy busy time of the year.

Now, I don't quite remember where I left off last time.  I know it was Thanksgiving.  That was a while ago.  A lot has happened in our drama since then.  I'll try to surmise, guessing at about where I left off.  It's really quite simple really (thank you drama for that - it's nice to have uncomplicated plot for the first time in a very long time).  Kang Hwi is going blind.  He signs back on with evil dude LJ for reasons I still don't perfectly understand.  "You're going blind and being a singer on stage with bright lights isn't helping - it will only make you go blind faster.  So join back with me and be a singer again even though I was unbelievably cruel to you because I'm the only one who will take you," just doesn't seem like a valid reason.  But maybe I missed something.  It's been known to happen believe it or not.  So, for reasons I obviously don't quite understand, Kang Hwi rejoins LJ and U Entertainment, dragging Man Ok along.  She doesn't want to go back until she finds out about Kang Hwi's condition, and then she decides to be there for him.  A slight problem arises though in that Tae Ik likes her and she likes him, but he's very jealous and understandably gun shy after he believes Kang Hwi stole his last serious girlfriend, the nasty-piece-of-work actress lady who has a name but doesn't deserve to have it looked up.  {So there mean lady, take that.}  He's all bent out of shape any time Man Ok spends time with Kang Hwi.  He even goes as far as to follow her to China where they are there for business with his half-sister.  Kang Hwi has a complicated family with complicated issues.  His father is really rich.  Kang Hwi is the product of a mistress/concubine.  He is not publicly acknowledged by his family.  His father is sick and dying.  Yadda yadda.  Back to the love story.

Kang Hwi likes Man Ok.  Tae Ik likes Man Ok.  Man Ok likes Tae Ik.  Tae Ik is jealous because Man Ok is close to Kang Hwi and won't tell him (Tae Ik) what is going on.  He has no idea that she's helping him and staying by his side because he's losing his sight.  Frustrating?  Injecting unnecessary drama into it all?  Of course.  It is a drama after all, is it not?  If they actually communicated with each other, we'd have a lot less story to cover, now wouldn't we?  Things can't be that easy.

Man Ok:  "Oh, Kang Hwi?  Yeah, turns out dude's going blind so I'm working there in order to help him".  

Tae Ik:  "Okay.  That makes sense.  I like Kang Hwi.  He's my buddy even though we're fighting over a non-issue."  

Kang Hwi:  "You know dude, I totally didn't kiss your ex-girlfriend. She kissed me in order to break up with you because LJ told her to in order for her to advance her career."
TI:  "Oh.  Silly me.  Turns out you really are my friend after all.  Come here, man and give me a hug."
KH: "So, we're good, right?"
TI:  "Of course.  Now let's get back together and be a singing sensation before you go blind.  How about one last stage ol' pal?  Go out with a bang?"
KH:  "You sure I can't have the girl?"
TI:  "Yeah, sorry.  I'm just really into her and she's into me."
KH:  "Bummer.  Alright though.  I can't force her to have feelings for me.  I suppose she and I will just have to be friends.  Friends that share a cat.  And you.  Bros before Hoes, man, bros before hoes."

 The End.

See?  A little communication can go a long way here folks.  But noooo.  No, we get episode after episode of frustrating misunderstandings.  I know that misunderstandings are like the life blood of dramas, but really, aren't there other means we can use to stretch the story out in order to get our 16 episodes?  Surely we can have both, right?  A nice lengthy drama and communication with very little misunderstandings?  Is that too much to ask?  Apparently.

Okay.  Moving on.  Tae Ik and Man Ok are both crazy about each other, but Tae Ik is having a hard time trusting Man Ok since she won't explain what the deal is with Kang Hwi.  Kang Hwi has asked Man Ok to be with him, but she doesn't go for it.  Poor Kang Hwi.  Things are kind of stinky for him.  Of course, things aren't much better for anyone else either.

How about the drunken confession in the tent though?  That was fun.  Until she conveniently "forgot" the next day.  Stupid drunken stupors.  Just kiss again already.  Please?  Too much tension.  A little lip action can go a long way to fixing that.

Where are we now at the conclusion of this week's episodes?  Well, Kang Hwi is trying to make a comeback as Only One/Just One (something like that) and Tae Ik and the cute manager guy are debuting as Take Two with the help of lovable Former Senior Manager Hwang.  They are originally coincidentally scheduled to come back on the same day (ouch) but due to various reasons, that plan is scrapped and instead they're coming back on some competition show against each other.  This doesn't really warrant a DUHN DUHN DUHN like other dramas, but I'll go ahead and throw one in even if it slightly reeks of sarcasm.  I can't help it.  I try to wash the sarcasm scent off as best as possible, but that stuff just sticks.

One week left.  I look forward to a resolution.  It has been a fun ride, but I just want to see these people work everything out and be happy.  They're all so sad.  They're too cute and nice to be so sad all the time.  Life's been tough enough on them all - they need to find their happy place.  Hopefully that can happen in the remaining 4 days.  That and some major kissing.  I need a kiss or two or a dozen.  I'm getting desperate here.  They have great chemistry between them - let's just make this thing happen, alright?  It's time.

Now, right on cue my throat is crazy flaring up on me, so I'm going to call it a night.  I will get to my I Miss You review sometime over the weekend if all goes well.  If not, well, then know that it is coming.  Someday. ;)

Dramatic Friday (or whatever day this ends up coming out on) Review

So it would seem that I'm going to stick with reviewing Full House 2.

Why?

Well, it's the only currently airing show that I'm watching at the moment, therefore it wins by default.  That and I absolutely am loving it and don't mind talking about it.

I still don't have screenshots though.  I forgot.  I'm sorry.  Next week?  Probably.  Maybe.  We'll see.

Also, since it is obviously and clearly not Friday, this is going to be a little off as far as episodes go.  I missed last week.  And I'll be celebrating Turkey Day this week and won't be able to talk about Thursday's episode.  That is going to drive my OCD senses batty, but there's not much I can do about it.  If I can find a moment and tear myself away from family fun time this week, I'll do it so that the week of drama can be properly finished off.  For today I'm going to start with last week's 4 episodes as well as the 3 that have already aired this week.

Last week started out with a fire alarm.  News had just leaked out that Tae Ik was Kang Hwi's partner in more ways than just singing.  Against LJ's (the boss from h - e - double hockey sticks) order, Tae Ik kept his previously scheduled schedule.  He showed up to do a radio show (? or something like that - does it really matter?  He was in a building to do his job - that's what is important here, not exactly what he was there to do) and there was chaos.  He was mobbed by angry people.  The situation was dangerous.  To clear the room so to say, the manager did what they always do on TV when needing to clear a building fast - he pulled the fire alarm.  This sent everyone running and screaming for their lives and suddenly not so interested in Tae Ik.  Tae Ik was also running from the building when he realized that Man Ok was nowhere to be found.  So while everyone else is running out, he dashes back in to find her.  Aww!  Heart melting moment.  She was standing there paralyzed with fear.  We got a little flashback to a similar and evidently scaring event from her childhood.  I'm guessing we'll get more on that one later on.  She was unresponsive and so Tae Ik swooped her up into his arms and carried her out.  Well, this caused all kinds of new scandals now about Tae Ik and his mystery woman.  At the same time, the photo of them folding a blanket in the trailer was leaked out.  LJ's solution?  A fake engagement.  Lovely.  Those usually turn out well.  Okay, yes, in dramas the contract relationship actually does usually net a good result, but that's besides the point.  It creates a lot of havoc first.

According to the story they release to the world, Tae Ik and Man Ok have been secretly dating for 3 years and are now engaged.  Does this give anyone else pause when considering other celeb relationships?  I mean, just how authentic are these things really?  Something tells me that this is a storyline for a reason.  But I digress.  They take a bunch of photos in a studio to release showing them "dating" over the years.  I loved her engagement ceremony dress by the way - the little white and black number?  Gorgeous.  Helped distract from the hair for a moment.

Well, of course we're not going to leave it at that, now are we?  Nothing can be that simple in a drama.  Enter the dreaded ex.  What a piece of work she is.  She's a top actress and a major psycho witch and she's moved in to Full House.  She wants Tae Ik back.  She creates all kinds of drama.  First, she's the one responsible for finding Kang Hwi hiding in the basement.  She also is the one who reveals to the public that the engagement is fake.  This leads to Man Ok getting attacked by crazed ssasaeng and Tae Ik running to her rescue.  In the process he shoves one of the crazies aside and the girl passes out - so now he has an anger management issue to deal with publicly.  Sheesh.  Being a top star sure is a major pain in the butt sometimes, isn't it?  LJ's solution?  Throw Man Ok under the proverbial bus.  He wants Tae Ik to go to a press conference and put all the blame on Man Ok - let her be the scapegoat for everything.  Well, Tae Ik has feelings for this girl and decides to protect her.  So what does he do instead?  At the press conference he announces that he is completely at fault and will be leaving U Entertainment voluntarily.  Ah!  LJ's reaction was awesome.  Very satisfying to watch him squirm.  He's intentionally screwing with these poor guys and is just growing more and more evil by the episode.

After leaving the press conference, Tae Ik goes off grid.  They finally track him down in Japan.  He's there visiting...drum roll please...his mother.  His mother who has had some sort of mental breakdown 5 years ago, assumedly after the passing of her husband, Tae Ik's dad.  Am I alone in my surprise at this twist?  I had assumed that both of his parents had died.  Didn't see mentally broken mother living with an aunt in Japan coming at all.  I'm so glad to know that he's not completely devoid of family and loved ones, though sad at knowing the burden he bears.  It was one thing for him to risk Full House for Man Ok's sake when I thought his parents were both dead.  Sure, he wants to honor them by keeping his promise and their legacy, but he also has to live his life and find love.  It seemed like a reasonable sacrifice all things considered.  But now, knowing that his mother is alive?  That changes the game and puts a bit more import on saving the house from evil LJ.  Know what I mean?  If and when his mother recovers, he's going to want to bring her home and certainly doesn't want to admit to her that he lost it in the end.  I totally get that now, more than I did before.

Man Ok and the manager (who quit after Tae Ik did because he's a good guy and wants to protect the boys), go in search of Tae Ik and show up in Japan.  One day when Tae Ik takes off in his car, Man Ok follows him.  Onto a ferry.  They do a little sightseeing.  OH MY GOODNESS!!!  How did I forget to mention what had happened before all this???  Their "date"!  Okay, back up for a moment.  We're not in Japan yet.  Tae Ik hasn't quit.  This was just before word about the fake engagement is leaked and Man Ok attacked.  They start to recreate some of the dates that they supposedly had according to their engagement photo shoot.  They hike.  They ride bikes.  They have a secret date at a coffee shop, sitting back to back.  She leans into him.  He leans on to her.  They talk about how it feels almost like a real secret date.  Then he puts his arm down and instructs her to do the same, and then he laces his fingers with hers and they sit there holding hands.  And I melted.  And rewatched that scene repeatedly.  And was amazed once again at how just the slightest thing like a hand hold can make me weak in the knees when it comes to dramas.  Just furthering my love affair with them all the more.  The rest of the non-drama-watching world has no idea what they are missing out on, do they?  They don't know what true romance can be.  I know I am a hopeless romantic myself, but come on, I don't care who you are, this is just good stuff.  But it's not like I can tell my friends, "they hold hands and it was so amazingly romantical I wanted to die - you just have to see it!".  They would look at me funny.  But you, you don't look at me funny, now do you?  No, because you get it too.  You totally and completely understand how a look or slight touch can send shivers of delight all through you. Anyway, so they're sitting there, back-to-back holding hands.  It's a beautiful moment filled with happy butterflies and rainbows.  Tae Ik then kind of freaks out and pulls away once he realizes what he's doing.  Does he panic because of his feelings or because he's embarrassed or because he's in public?  Not sure.  Maybe a combination of those and possibly other reasons.  Either way, for whatever reason, he pulls away and is embarrassed.  They're both feeling a little awkward.  Man Ok gets up and moves to his table so that they can face each other.  She's all flustered and he points it out.  She tries to blame it on the hot coffee.  Sure, Man Ok, sure.  The coffee.  Uh huh.  Not the love advances from gorgeous Tae Ik.  Mmm hmm.  Nobody's buying it babe.  Including him.  And he plays it up.  Teasing her maybe?  He stands and goes in as if he is to kiss her, stopping just before hitting those lips that have been tempting him.  They sit there staring at each other before he finally breaks the silence by asking her if she was expecting a "foam kiss" and then tells her that she watches too much TV.  Haha!  Hooray for the Secret Garden shout out!

Okay, sorry about that.  Let's head back to Japan now because it's about to get real good there too.  She's followed him onto the ferry and they spend the day sightseeing together.  They end up on this stretch of beach jutting out into the sea that looked just gorgeous.  There happens to be a tree there with seashells tied to it.  These seashells contain wishes that people have put on them.  Man Ok is standing there looking at one of the shells.  It's written in Japanese which she doesn't speak, but he does.  He walks over, and without any preamble, just says "I love you.  I want you to be my side forever."  It sounds like a confession.  And a proposal.  Man Ok, as well as I, was in shock.  I believe my jaw dropped.  There's an awkward pause while she looks at him, in shock, and then he says that that is what the shell she was looking at says.  Oh.  Except I think it was more than that.  I think he was feeling her out.  What do you think?  If he was merely translating, don't you think he would have made that more clear and not been staring right at her with full eye contact?  I think he was confessing to her, just in a "safe" way.  We all know he's fallen for her and loves her.  He was willing to sacrifice his house to save her.  So, whatever.  I'm still going to count it as at least a psuedo-confession and therefore still completely squee worthy.

Thankfully it doesn't end there.  Oh no.  There are more squee moments to come.  Like when they are in the car back on the ferry and she's asleep.  He sees those lips and he goes for it.  The stolen, "while you were sleeping" kiss.  Only she wakes up right at the last second.  His cover?  He's about to puke.  Huh?  What?  Was he going to puke on her?  That's what he's going for?  Smooth, real smooth there, Cassanova.  Thankfully he eventually gathers up the chutzpah to plant a proper one on her while on the deck of the ferry.  YAY!!!  Fireworks and squees abound, even though her eyes stay freaking open in surprise.  But whatever, I'm going to ignore that part and focus on the fact that he kisses her!!!  Oh happy, happy day!

We end the episode with yet another confession.  Only, this time, as predicted, it wasn't from Tae Ik but instead was from Kang Hwi who has also shown up in Japan.  And now begins the official love triangle.  Duhn duhn duhn.  Oh, and Kang Hwi, after finding out he is going blind, agreed to resign with LJ and U Entertainment.  Sheesh.  Bad idea there kid.

Okay, so that's as far as I've gotten.  There will be another episode sometime in the middle of the night, but it's Thanksgiving and I'll be with family so I'm not sure when I'll be able to review it.  I'll do my best to fit it in, but can't make any promises.  Trust me, I don't want to leave this one hanging any more than you do.  This drama has caught my full attention and devotion.  It's totally addicKting, bad hair and all.  I can't wait for the next dose.  Weekends stretch on forever waiting for new episodes.  What do you think?  Loving it?  Hating it?  (but if you are hating it would you even be reading this review?)  Lukewarm about the whole thing?  Let us know.

Mini Dramatic Friday Review: Full House 2, eps 1-12

Yes, it is still technically Friday here, so I'm a-okay to still call this a Dramatic Friday Review.  Yay!  What's more dramatic than a shot-at-the-buzzer-type post anyway?  You know, since we're creeping dangerously close to Saturday here and all.  I've been back and forth on whether or not I would post today.  I rather enjoyed the idea of playing hooky for a week, but turns out that I just missed it so, so here I am, at 10:12 on a Friday night, attempting to put together at least a mini review.  What's a mini review you ask?  Why, I'll tell you.  It will be short.  It will be sweet.  It will be screencap-less.  :O  Yes, screencap-less.  Did you know that pictures take up the vast majority of time in these reviews?  I wouldn't have thought it, but they do.  Try sifting through 300+ per episode to find just that small handful.  And then editing.  And then deleting them from device and computer alike in order to keep as much memory free as possible.  It's a lot of work.  It's a labor of love, especially when it nets hawt oppa pics, but still, a lot of work and a huge time suck.  Not to mention that we're already 12 episodes in to the drama I'm going to be chatting about today and there was no way I was going back and rewatching them all in order to get screenshots.  I mean, I love all y'all and all, but that love can't create time for such a huge project.  So, we will chat a bit and have to use our imaginations in order to "see" the action.  Really really want those pictures?  Then go ahead and send your favorites to me at thecrazyahjummas@gmail.com and I'll happily post them.  Really.  Why not?  I'm not opposed to pictures, I just am too lazy to do it myself this week.  But I'll welcome any contributions if you are a diehard Full House 2 fan and want to see your favorite moments forever encapsulated in this blog post.  If not, then just sit back and enjoy the word pictures I will attempt to paint.

We once convinced one of my dear friends that vacuum cleaners sucked the color out of televisions.  I still adore her for it.  The idea of me painting word pictures is about as funny as the idea of vacuums sucking color out of televisions and about as unlikely.

Okay, I think that I have managed to intro this one to death, so I'm going to jump right in and start chatting now about what I said I was going to chat about -- the new drama, Full House Take Two.

Now, I saw Full House, the original.  You know, the one with Rain.  One of the arguable "classics" of Kdramas.  It's pretty much on the "must see" list, even though I have to say it wasn't one of my favorites.  It was okay, but kind of slow moving.  I'm not here to debate that one though.  I only mention it in case you are wondering "Hmm, I'd like to check out Full House 2, but I haven't seen the first one yet.  Is that going to be a problem?".  I can, without any doubt, assure you that no, it will most certainly not be a problem as the two are completely and totally 100% unrelated.  Isn't that wonderful?  I think so.  Has anyone else run into this issue lately...  You're at the library checking out all the books on the "bestseller" shelf.  Some look wonderful and very intriguing.  You go to pick it up, all excited, only to realize that it's part of a series, and you haven't read the earlier books.  You dejectedly replace said book back on the shelf, never to return to it again.  Happened to me just this week.  Happens to me pretty much every time.  So when I find one that not only looks good but also turns out to not be a later book in a series I haven't read, I am overjoyed.  I feel much the same about my drama "sequels".  These suckers can be long.  It can take some real time to get through them.  Maybe I don't want to have to go back and watch the first one before watching the second.  Thankfully, at least in this case, that will not be a problem.  I really don't know why they even called it Full House 2 since they really honestly have zero to do with one another.  But, that's the title they went with, so we'll go with it, just know that you're okay to watch it whether you've seen the original Full House or not.

Are we good so far?

Another thing to talk about off the bat too is the different format of the episodes.  Now, I've only been watching dramas for less than 2 years.  Maybe this has been done before, but for me it is my first experience with this format, and I must say that I am loving it.  What they are doing is airing it 4 days a week instead of 2, but each episode is only 30 minutes instead of an hour.  The net result is that you still are getting the same amount of drama each week, it's just spread out and chopped into smaller chunks.  It is so fun to wake up Monday through Thursday to a new episode.  I am a very impatient person.  Waiting a week in between episodes can be torturous.  This helps.  Though it does make the weekend stretch seem long since I get spoiled by the daily new episodes.  Good thing I'm filling that time with other wonderful things such as a rewatch of Coffee Prince.  :)  The fact that I'm going to try to cover 12 episodes seems a lot less daunting when you realize it's really the equivalent of 6 episodes, or 3 weeks worth of what a normally airing drama would be.  Make sense?  Hope so.  Don't want to confuse anyone here.  Well, at least not more than normal.

Okay.  Not related to the original and airs a bit funny.  Check and check.  Now, how about we talk about the actual story, hmm?  I will avoid too many spoilers, but be forewarned that there probably will be some and so if you haven't seen it yet and don't like spoilers, you may want to look away at this point.

The story revolves around a singing duo, Take One.  Lee Tae Ik, played by No Min Woo, and Won Kang Hwi, played by Park Ki Woong (aka "Evil Oppa" Shunji in Bridal Mask) are the odd couple of KPop.  Lee Tae Ik's got issues.  He's high maintenance and allergic to everything.  He can't keep staff around and no one wants to work with him.  Kang Hwi is happy-go-lucky but less talented than his partner.  Tae Ik is more or less like an endentured servant working for the president of his company who he is trying to buy his family estate back from.  He used to be from a rich chaebol family, but lost them and consequently the family home and is now working hard and saving every penny in order to buy it back.  Kang Hwi is losing his sight due to an old eye injury as a child.  There is more to both of their pasts, but we don't know the full story yet.  Just that there is more there that we don't know yet.  Enter our heroine, Jan Man Ok (formerly Michelle Jang), played by Hwang Jung Eum.  She is orphaned at a young age and brought from her home in France to Korea to be raised by her strict Taekwondo master grandfather.  When grandfather leaves for an extended period of time, we see that the now adult Man Ok doesn't necessarily share in her grandfather's Taekwondo aspirations.  Sure, she has also been trained as a master, but her real passion is for fashion.  She runs an online clothing store.  Things start to go awry when Take One stumbles haphazardly into her life.  One thing leads to another and she finds herself without her store or studio and unable to make money.  She needs a job.  And Take One needs a stylist.  Badda boom, badda bing.  Say hello to Take One's new stylist, the ever lovable and quirky Man Ok.

At this point I feel the need to point out something that most likely everyone who is watching this has noticed. Yes, I must go there.  You know what I'm about to say, don't you?  That's right.  The hair.  What in the blazing blue bumblebees where they thinking with these hairstyles?  The worst offenders are Tae Ik and Man Ok.  Isn't she supposed to be a stylist with, oh I don't know, some style?  What is up with that ahjumma hair?  I am an ahjumma (or at least a lot closer than she is) and I don't even have hair like that.  The short perm?  Like your weird aunt has been sporting since the 80s?  And Tae Ik?  The guy is supposed to be hot, but his hair is usually twice as big as his head.  He looks ridiculous.  I don't know what they were thinking.  I know Asia, generally speaking, is pretty hip to style and trends.  Maybe in a year or so we'll start to see these hairstyles popping up here in the Western hemisphere.  Oh golly, I hope not.  Heaven help us all if they do.  Some things are not meant to be resurrected or revisited, and our worst possible 80s-dos are at the top of that list.  I know.  I was there.  I lived through it once.  We really, really don't need to go there again.  Just trust me on this.

At this point in the show, we've had some scandals involving our boys, and soon to be our leading lady as well.  The president, in what appears to be an attempt to save Kang Hwi and/or face as he is about to lose his sight (a little fact that the president is in fact still hiding from poor Kang Hwi who has no idea that he's about to be blind), lets word leak out, with picture "evidence", that Kang Hwi is gay.  Later on it comes out that not only is he gay, but that Tae Ik is his partner.  Only, now there's about to be a scandal that claims that Tae Ik and Man Ok are actually involved.  Confused?  Eh.  Don't be.  Just knowing that there are scandals and that everything is all crazy and screwy-lewy around the Take One camp is enough at this point.  And that the president isn't a very nice guy.  And that we're developing a love triangle between the Take One boys and their ahjumma-haired stylist.  At some point, Tae Ik and Man Ok will also realize that they met before as children.  A lot of intrigue and interest is brewing and will certainly be bubbling over any day now.

And there you have it.  The first 12 episodes of this 28 episode drama (or 6 out of 16 depending on how you want to count them).  I don't know if I'm going to stick to reviewing this one.  While I am enjoying watching it and love the format, it doesn't make it too review friendly for me.  We'll see.  I still haven't found "the one".  Until I do, though, I will probably chat about this one since it's the only currently airing drama I'm watching at the moment.  So, if you are loving this show and want to see it stick around on the review lineup, drop me a line/leave me a comment and let me know.  If you want to read it, I'll write it.  If you don't, then I won't.  See how easy I am to work with?  It's all about what you, the readers, want.  What power you wield!  Oooh!  Ahhhh!
