Unnie's Wednes...uh...Thursday Write Up... scheduling conflicts of interest.

Sorry this is a day late guys but I managed to somehow get, not one, but two viruses this week, from my kids.  First a stomach bug, that was fun, (sarcasm) & now I am fighting a nasty little head cold.  It's perfectly normal & rational that, at this very minute, the temptation to chop off my own head is normal, right?  My forehead feels like it's going to explode, my glands are swollen, it hurts to turn my neck & my ears are filled with pressure from the congestion, as are my sinuses.  Needless to say, I have spent most of this week sleeping too.  2 viruses in 1 week, that has to be a record right?  I'm telling you this does not bode well for this next school year, that already we are getting sick.  Sigh.

So today's Wednesday Write Up will be short.

Originally, I had planned on doing this yesterday, but my head hurt too much to stare at any kind of computer screen, which is why this would have made more sense yesterday, sorry.  AddiKts, don't forget that Wednesday's episode of The Master's Sun is delayed to Thursday as a special showing of The Thieves was shown on Wednesday, holiday programming for Chuseok.  How The Thieves is more Chuseok related than The Master's Sun is, I haven't the foggiest.  I have the feeling the station felt the ratings would drop so much due to the holiday that they decided to air a different show until more people would be able to watch & keep the ratings up.  Next week they will air episode 14 & 15 on their regular dates & then the final episode, 16, will air the following week on the 2nd of October.  Now here is where I am not sure what is going on.  One site, which now I can no longer find, said that there will be a special behind the scenes/making of The Master's Sun airing the following day but another site, said it was an extension of the show, meaning 17 episodes.  Whether the 17th episode is the special or it's another actual episode & then they will air the special I have no idea.  I tend to believe the allkpop article since I can no longer find the other one.  Guess we'll have to wait & see.  Then the following week Heirs will debut.

The other thing I wanted to talk about was the news that Kim Hyun Joong's latest Kdrama, "Inspiring Youth", has been postponed until next year.  In a move, very reminiscent of the City Conquest debacle, there is apparently a problem with dates, due to Chinese holidays, for the scheduled filming. Because of the mix up, shooting has been delayed, instead they will be airing Jang Keun Seuk's new drama, "Beautiful Man".   Upon reading that this morning I was disappointed, frustrated & yes almost resigned to the feeling it was going to all fall apart like CQ did.  I never should have watched King of Dramas, it all smells like a conspiracy to me.  Someone wants to stop KHJ from being in dramas.  But why?   KHJ who did you piss off?  o.O   So pray, burn incense, sacrifice on an altar, send positive vibes or happy thoughts, sprinkle fairy dust if you need to, but everyone we must work together to get KHJ back on the air in a drama!!

As a way of saying sorry for this being late I thought you guys might enjoy a couple fan made videos of TMS that I have seen on various friends FB feeds this past week.  As well as the new OST from SIG for the drama.  I also wanted to share this meme that Uri Dongsaeng made after watching last week's TMS cliffhanger.  If you are on Pinterest & want to share it, you can find it here

Enjoy have a beautiful rest of the week & I will see you tomorrow for more TMS review.

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: One of Those Days

I know I am not the only one on this wide beautiful planet to have "one of those days".  I blame it on the end of summer blahs that are setting in, here in Wisconsin.  When I lived in AZ, I LOVED winter.  Couldn't get enough in fact.  Hated summer, dreaded it.  And would almost always go crazy come October when it was still in the 90s.  I was ready for fall by October but fall was not ready to arrive in AZ.  Oh I drove my husband batty about it, "This isn't fall!  Fall is crisp air & cooler temps & falling leaves!"  Bless his poor heart, I was a huge whiner.  So when he was offered a job in Wisconsin I was ready for the change.  But having spent a predominant amount of my life in a warm, super sunny, climate has made my transition to colder, wintry, snowy, icy, gray days a little bumpier than I expected.  Don't get me wrong, Fall is AH-MAZING here.  So beautiful!  But fall is then followed by 6 months of miserably cold temperatures, Snow up to your waist, Ice, and more gloomy, gray, cloudy days than this So Cal chick can handle & I discovered I suffer from seasonal depression because of this winter climate.  This last winter here was hard, as it seemed to go on forever still getting snow storms in mid to late April.  I spent most of last winter begging my husband to look for a job back in AZ.  Yep that was me, a complete 180 on my previous viewpoint about AZ.  Again I say my husband is a saint.

I couple this 'blah feeling', on the fact that today, my eldest, child went to his high school freshman orientation.  Tomorrow there is a freshman cook out & dance in the evening.  His first high school dance.  As he left this morning, I felt conflicted.  I was so happy for him.  Yet so sad for me.  First, he's not my baby anymore and he was sincerely such a cute baby.  Yes, all mom's think their baby is the cutest & the best.  Second, it also means I am the mother of a high school kid, which makes me feel old, boring, useless & really quite unattractive.  I picked the wrong addiKtion.  I picked an addiKtion that focuses on being young & perfect & beautiful.  None of these things can be used to describe myself.  Normally, I still feel like I am in my early 20s.  I don't look like I am but I feel like it.  Today, for really the first official time, I actually feel like an ahjumma.  Which has its perks, apparently on a city bus or subway in Seoul, I can be as loud & obnoxious as I want, because I am an ahjumma.  So there's that.  kekekeke...

While today has not been a bad day per se, it has been one of those days where I feel blah.  Darn you end of summer, oncoming winter & darn you to kids getting older ergo making their parents feel their age!  I spent the morning watching Barefoot Friends & getting my KHJ fix, which again as an ahjumma today I feel very weird liking a man 10 years younger than me.  And I feel like I should apologize to KHJ for creeping him out. LOL  The good thing is I picked a bias that doesn't really pay attention to the virtual world very often so woohoo he has no clue a pervy old lady drools over him.  ^^  That helps my ego some.

But there are good things about being in the place I am age wise.  I am past the diaper era, the potty training era, the having to sit & watch the many, many repetitive kid shows era.  I can wear jewelry without worrying about them breaking it with little hands, that pull and tug, with the force of a sumo wrestler.  My kids can dress & feed themselves, are perfectly content entertaining themselves, help clean up the house, & don't need to be constantly watched anymore.  In short I can stop stalking them.  Plus, my kids will all head back to school in a couple of weeks & I will get the house to myself again, at least for most of the day.  Looking forward to peace & quiet throughout the house again.

To help cheer myself up from the 'blahs' I gave myself a treat on my Jess Unnie Profile on FB.  A thread dedicated to Kim Hyun Joong.  Sigh.  And I encourage all of you who have already friended that profile to go check it out & add your own favorite videos to the thread.  The world needs more KHJ.  So even though he is completely unaware that he turned my mood from blah to happy I want to say, Kamsahabnida Kim Hyun Joong-ssi for just being you.   Jjinja.  This old lady thanks you for your smile & your talent.  It brightened an otherwise blah day.

For those of you that aren't on FB, &/or aren't interested in friending Jess Unnie on FB, here are some of my favorite KHJ performances.  Sigh what a nice voice he has.  The videos are not mine, they aren't official, they are from his fans because they love him.  And he appreciates his fans, even if just once he'd like to say, "Stop buying me food, I can do that, just buy my album instead."  Classic KHJ, honesty.  I bought your album.  Which means you owe me dinner dude. ;)

Have a great day AddiKts.  BTW The Master's Sun ep 5 is already almost finished subbing, I know what I will be watching while my son is at Tae Kwon Do tonight! Squeeee!!!  Yep, the day is no longer so blah.

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: Casting Calls & Major Signings

Have I told you guise lately that I feel truly so blessed?  I really do.  I have made some amazing new friendships in the last year, some in person & some virtual, w fellow AddiKts all around the world.  Some have written me letters (emails) of encouragement, some have become great friends that I watch our beloved KDramas with while we live chat at the same time, some that have become "aunties" to my kids & send them treats.  Of course it helps that my kids are just so stinking cute. ;)  I even have my first Official Stalker, as of this week.  Kind of nice being the 'stalkee' as opposed to the 'stalker', for a change.  *giggle*   Of course the dealio is, if she gets to stalk me, then I get to stalk her back.  I look forward to getting to know her better.  She seems like a lot of fun & I like people who make me smile.  Being able to make people smile is a rare & beautiful gift & I appreciate people who can make me smile.  It was one the most attractive qualities in my husband.  He just makes me laugh so often & I LOVE to laugh.  To those of you who started as fellow addiKts but have taken that first tentative step toward reaching out to become a friend I thank you for being so much braver than I am.  Your friendship & your hearts are appreciated.

Well, now that we got all that mushy stuff over, how about we move on to more K Drama news?  This last week 2 big announcements caught my eye & I had to squee over both of them.  And one totally personal announcement for one of those awesome new "K"  friends I've made over the last few months.

Kim Hyun Joong officially cast as Male Lead for Age of Feelings
That's right!  My Kim Hyun Joong, whose latest album "Round 3" has hit the ground and taken flight w hit MVs for the tracks, "Unbreakable" & "Your Story",  has finally made it official that he has nabbed the leading male role in the new upcoming drama Age of Feeling.  Which has also announced that the 2 leading ladies have been cast as well.  I am very excited about this news & yet a little nervous too.  City Conquest broke me of becoming too excited, as they had even started filming & still had the carpet pulled out from under them.  If this goes that route too then I will seriously be irritated & will be flying myself to Seoul, even if I have to stuff myself in luggage.  At only 5'2" (or 156 cm) tall, I should easily be able to squeeze myself into a large suitcase, right?  If this show gets canceled like City Conquest, the people who are responsible better wear shin guards!  That's right I went there!  However, I was sad that he was their 3rd choice for leading male.  But as long as he is the one starring who cares that he was 3rd choice, maybe this will be the defining moment in his career that will make the ones who turned it down regret that choice & everyone will see KHJ shine.  Sending good luck vibes out to my bias, break a leg Kim Hyun Joong-ssi, you're gonna knock 'em dead.

Ha Ji Won (Unnie's Girl Crush) signs w UTA
The second announcement for my favorite actress, Ha Ji Won.  Who scored a  major coup this week, when she signed with United Talent Agency, UTA.  Only one of the US's largest & most influential talent agency.  An agency that carries other big name stars, like my ultimate & first ever crush & an incredibly talented actor, that is constantly changing himself into whatever character he needs to be, Johnny Depp.  This is BIG news!  This move on Ha Ji Won's part is being touted as a huge coup for Asian actresses everywhere as this wasn't just a meet & greet for a single project but an actual contractual signing, she now works with them!  This is her chance to break into the Hollywood scene & maybe beyond.  Now I hope & pray that they will not relegate her in to the typical Asian character but will give her real roles & real characters to play that showcase her enviable talents as a first rate actress.  I have to say I may have more than a little 'girl crush' on Ha Ji Won.  She really is my favorite actress.  So everybody wish her good luck too.  Ha Ji Won-ssi break a leg & show those 'Hollyweirdos' exactly what you're made of girlfriend.  You totally got this girl!

Hot Korean Pop Music every Sunday in Austin Texas!
And one more announcement...this one is for a friend.  A few weeks ago she suggested to her boss, at the radio station she works at, that they should do a one hour KPop program on their station, he was intrigued by the idea and asked her to work up the deets.  Excitedly she did & he liked her ideas so he gave her the 7-8 pm time slot every Sunday night!!  How exciting!  She works on the line up & program all week long & then bam!  A hit show every Sunday night.  You guys have got to check it out!  The show can be found, if you are in the Austin TX area on 103.2 The Fix on Mega HD2.  You can also tune in online here.  OR you can use the TuneIn Radio App on your device.  Shout to you Jen!  Bringing KPop to the US!  Kamsahabnida chingu!  This lucky lady is even attending KCon this month in Los Angeles & is hoping to get some time to talk to the KPop Stars.  What questions would you guise like her to ask GD or f(x)? (just examples)  Leave some comments on this blog post, my Unnie FB profile, the TCA FB profile OR you can even go to the Official Fix Kpop FB page & leave them there, don't forget to Like the page while you're there & show your support for our favorite music!  And then tune in Sunday nights to listen & get your Kpop Groove on!  I know Dongsaeng & I will be listening!

That is all for now AddiKts.  I hope you have a fabulous rest of the week.  Look for the next 2 installments in my reviews for The Master's Sun, this Thursday/Friday.  Can I say how much I LOVE this drama.  So perfect!!  Come on Hong Sisters don't let an Unnie down now, pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease?!?!?!?

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: Kim Hyun Joong's Unbreakable

Dear AddiKts,

I'm writing to you, today, to let you know our beloved Unnie has finally succumbed  to the mental descent into a world filled with nothing but her bias, Kim Hyun Joong.  Yes, Unnie is in her heaven & she's much happier there.  I should go back to earlier in the week & help explain just what happened to put our Unnie into such a state of obsessed mania, the final snap in her mental acuity so to speak.

It all started late Wednesday night.  Unnie had just finished drama-thoning All About My Romance & was checking FB one last time before retiring for the night.  If only she hadn't thought to check, she might still be with us.  But alas, check FB she did.  We all know how much our Unnie loves Kim Hyun Joong but this time her love for him is what ultimately led to this mental break.  As she opened her newsfeed to FB, one of the first posts she found belonged to the Official KHJ Facebook Page, it was the announcement for his latest single/MV, "Unbreakable".  Unnie excited at the prospect of seeing her bias singing & dancing in all his sexy glory on her iPad was too much for her to wait until morning.  So she opened up the MV in Youtube & that's when Unnie left this real world forever.

What a sight greeted her upon her arrival.  Oh if only they had stopped at images like this....

But no the powers that be wanted to not just enthrall but enrapture our Unnie to the point of no return & so they continued on & on until finally these images are what did our Unnie in....

And ending with the following mind blowing, ovary exploding moments of the video.

Is it any wonder our Unnie couldn't stand up to the mind blowing dancing, sexy, thrusting images of her bias as he danced & sang his way into her soul?  Poor Unnie *sigh* she never saw it coming.  And that is why we mourn her mental loss but we celebrate her happiness.  She has gone beyond our world & is in a much happier place.  Do not cry for her, do not pity her, no head shaking or saying "I told you so" for her, no we must be happy for our Unnie.  For those interested the "Asylum" WILL give her care packages, after all she isn't a danger to herself or others. But please no KHJ items as they send her into a renewed frenzy & then they have no choice but to sedate her further.  The physicians are working around the clock to bring our Unnie back from her mental breakdown.  Will she be the Unnie we've all come to know & love so much?  Only time will tell.

Sincerely,
The Management

*****Disclaimer #1: No this was NOT a real letter, I am find & dandy.....sort of...****

******Disclaimer #2: All of the images were found on the KHJ Official Facebook page, they are not mine.*****

KHJ's newest MV was phenomenal!!!  And I have watched it myself, at least 40 times, give or take, since it's release!!  Seriously, they should have put a warning on that video!  I blame Keyeast for not properly warning viewers & fans of the danger to their mental well being if they viewed Unbreakable.  So before I share it on here I will add my own warning label.

*************WARNING***************
The following video is will cause hot flashes, ovary explosions & quite possibly pregnancy.  Watch at your own expense!  You've been warned, proceed with caution.

And if that weren't hot enough, they also released the video of his latest photo shoot w Star1, the day before the MV released.  And yeah....so incredibly handsome.  Thank you Lord for Kim Hyun Joong!!  Thank you so much!

Let's just say I had to give a warning to my friends & family on Facebook, following my private profile, that I was going to be blowing up my Pinterest Feeds, & that for any of them following me, they might want to "Un-follow" my Pinterest acct for Jess Unnie.  I pinned somewhere around 300 pins that day, of just KHJ.  Bringing the grand total for my probably really unhealthy addiKtion to 2766.  *SMH* See it's admissions like this, that keep me from wanting to meet my bias in real life.  Just sayin'.  What do you say to the guy you have almost 3000 pictures of?  "Um...yeah Hi, I swear I'm not as cray cray as I seem online."  I figure that my pinning pics of him may be unhealthy BUT I do it for his safety & I consider it a bonus that keeps me from being arrested for creating an International "Incident" & of course goes without saying, the inevitable restraining order.  Win Win.  ^^

Well, that's it for this week's squee fest for KHJ.  Come back next week, I'm pretty sure I'll still be squeeing away.  In the meantime would you please go VOTE for Unbreakable at EYK for his video to be reviewed for one of their awesome KPop Music Mondays?  Pretty Please?!?!  As of Saturday night, when I actually wrote this post he was #7 on the charts.  When I get back from my vacation I'd really like to see him in the somewhere in the Top 3.  Thank you guise.  I KNEW I could count on you to help me out.  I've never seen a KHJ review on EYK.  They may have done one, a long time ago, but I've not been able to find it in the archives.  It would be really nice to see my #1 getting some spot light from them.

Have a wonderful week ladies & gents.

Saranghamnida,

P.S. Do you see how they are killing me?!?!?!

This is me at this point...

This picture found on Pinterest though.

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: The Girls of KPop

Frankly, I don't know what to talk about today guys.  I have been super busy these last few weeks, maybe you guys have been too, maybe not.  The school year is winding to a close here in the Northern part of the Midwestern US.  My kids are moving in on their last 10 days of school, which means school projects, field trips, report cards, testing, spirit days at school.  Which has seriously put me behind in my drama/reality show watching time.  Sigh.  It's so hard to be me.  {{I don't actually expect you to believe that.}}  But while I have been running here & there & helping my kids finish up their school years, I have been listening to a lot of K Pop.  It's really the only thing that is keeping me going right now.  And lately I have been streamlining the girl groups.  I may not have a lot to talk about today but I can leave you with a taste of what I am listening to lately.  I would love to hear who your favorite girl groups of K Pop are to listen to.  Do you even bother with the girl groups or are you all about the hot guys?  If you have some more fun, light hearted, get you up & moving girl group songs to listen to I would love suggestions.  Of course, below are just a few of my favs, but it gives you a taste of what I like, which as we all know; I will listen to anything & everything.  Suggest away guys!  I have an open mind!  I hope you guys have a great week.  See you in my review.

Saranghamnida,

The perfect getting ready for summer music, keeps this Unnie focused & On Task for her crazy family & helps her to handle the withdrawals from K Dramas.

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: The contest I can't enter.

First let me just say it is monumentally unfair that I am old & living in the USA right now.  I saw this pop up in my news feed on Facebook & I wanted to scream at the unfairness of being old!!!  Dang it all to heck!!
{{Pardon my language}}  Where was The Face Shop, the Korean wave & Kim Hyun Joong when I was young & in shape?!?!?  Nowhere to be found!  My timing sucks!

So it would seem The Face Shop is offering a contest, where you can enter to win a chance to be flown to Korea, all expenses paid & meet KHJ & get to do a photo shoot with him.  BUT it's only open to a few countries & mine is NOT one of them.  Okay honestly, I wouldn't enter this particular contest anyway, bad self esteem about my looks & I'd feel ridiculous for being a decade older than he is, but still way to smash an ahjummas dream there Face Shop Korea!   Geesh!!  So I am sharing the info here so that anyone of our fabulous readers that live in one of the participating countries can join in the contest.

Follow the link:
Be the T.O.P. Girl for The FaceShop

Here are the countries that can participate...
Yeah I SO would not meet their standards in the looks category!

Hey Face Shop call me when you're into short, chubby, ahjummas, then I'm a lock in for sure!
My ONE request if one of you guys wins...can you get me an autograph picture?  Pretty please?  Shirt on shirt off, I'm not picky. *giggle*  {^_-}

And here is MY KHJ...again I'm not really all that worried he'll ever see this blog so...MY KHJ in a video telling us how excited he is to meet me...uh the contest winner.

Wishing you all good luck...

And to help me get over the fact that I would never in a million years even consider can't enter this contest due to my age & lack of self esteem & I'm just a big chicken location I will share a few KHJ CFs.  Sigh...Happy Feels AddiKts.  Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Saranghamnida,

This one cracks me up! Poor Lee Min Ho!!

I remember an interview PSH gave while filming this CF, she was afraid of KHJ's fangirls. LOL
O.O Smart woman!

Ahhhhh F4, I love you guys. {{pssst especially KHJ}} ^_^

That does it AddiKts. Have a great night/day/week.  <3 ME!!  ^_^

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up {{Or Thursday Write Up Whatever}}: Hyun Bin's Comeback!

Helloooooo... Sorry my post is a little later than usual.  My 2nd born son celebrated his 12th Bday Tuesday which meant I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off all day Tuesday & yesterday was catching up on my responsibilities that I neglected in the bday craze.  Family first you know.  It was a great day but let's get down to business shall we?

Last week I showed you my Krazy, a few of you even showed me yours in return...I cannot {{sniff/sniff}} tell you how much it meant to me that you trusted me & felt safe enough here on TCA that you would show me your Krazy too.  Thank you guys.  SO MUCH!

But one of our awesome fellow AddiKts left this comment...

Well sweetie, I listened.  I hope this doesn't let you down!

I had actually seen this news snippet pass by but was too busy w life, to investigate further or pay any real attention, {{I should be ashamed of myself!!}} so I thank you, humbly, for not letting me skip the opportunity to SQUEEE!!!!  Like an insane person of course.  Just keeping it real folks.  It's how I roll.  {{giggle}}

I immediately logged on to one of my fav K news sources, allkpop.  And found this article here. His FIRST EVER Historical role!!  He will play King Jung Jo "The Unfortunate King" in the movie "The King's Wrath".

I am so incredibly excited!!  I love historical movies so much.  And I LOVE Hyun Bin so much!!  Perfect combo is Hyun Bin IN a Historical movie!!  I cannot wait to see it!  Of course I will have a longer wait that those actually living in Asia...what with my being here in the US & Korean movies aren't exactly shown in my neck of the woods.  Like ever!  >:(  Phooey!  Makes me so mad.  But I have good ... no great... no scratch that awesome ... NO scratch THAT I have amazing friends & they know how to hook a girl up w the K Stuff so I will be able to wait...not patiently...for them to hook me up once again.

The only other Hyun Bin movie I've seen was "Late Autumn".  Such an amazing movie.  I highly recommend it.  But grab a box of tissues.  Seriously.   A wonderful reader {{Thank you S Kdramaphan}} told me it can still be found online at Dramacrazy.net  But I warn you, this site has issues when it comes to malware & viruses.  So make sure you have a good security system on your computer & be careful what you open.  There I warned ya...

To help tide you over OR to wet your whistle & leave you wanting more of this movie, I did manage to find the kiss scene that gave me the most amazing butterfly acrobatics ever!  Like OHMYGOSH that looks SO GOOD!!!

I TOLD YOU SO!!!  OMO!!!! OMO!!! OMO!!! OMO!!! OMO!!

Oh Hyun Bin I adore you!!!  Thank you for coming back to work so quickly!!  As I was researching this "latest project" I happened upon this little article, where he reveals whether or not he was worried that he would lose popularity from being gone for 2 years for MS?   I love that he was so humble that he was more concerned that his acting be good enough for those of us, which is still probably everyone on the planet who is; SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT HYUN BIN IS AN ACTING GENIUS AND SHOULD NEVER BE TAKEN FOR GRANTED OR OVERLOOKED BECAUSE HE IS SO TALENTED AND SMART AND HANDSOME AND AMAZING, THAT WE WAITED FOR HIS RETURN ON THE EDGE OF OUR SEATS BECAUSE I LOVE HIM SO FLIPPING MUCH!!!!

O.O

Was that too much?  I'm never quite sure when my inner fan girl takes over if I should have held her back at least a little bit.  Oh well, it's not like you people didn't know I was Krazy!  Duh!  All I can say is I am so happy he's out of the MS & back to work & I am so excited to see his new "Body of Work"

{{giggle ~ wink/wink}}

Of course, I'm hoping he does another drama as well, but I will take whatever scraps he is willing to throw my way.  I hope you guys all have a fabulous day.  And I think I will leave you with a few more delicious Hyun Bin YouTube vids to keep you waiting w baited breath like I am for his new project.  You're welcome.  {^_-}

Saranghamnida,

Hyun Bin Singing That Man Secret Garden OST Sigh!

For me he is the original Dimple.

That's it AddiKts.

Have a great day, I dare you not to after seeing that smile!  ^_^

Wednesday Write Up: {{ I show you my Krazy }}

So for this week's WWU I have had on my mind several different things all at once actually...just curious of my fellow AddiKts about a few things that I have experienced, since I started K Dramas & want to see if any of you might have too...

Up first, those moments when you are so caught up in the story that you find yourself screaming at the TV in anger & frustration, laughing like a maniac, cringing at the the stupid thing your character is about to do; that will lead to their own humiliation &/or trouble.  Many a night I have woken up CA with my, I'm sincerely  trying to stifle, albeit unsuccessfully reaction, to what is happening on the screen.  Not to mention the many times my kids have just stared at me as though I'm insane for the same reason.  And it isn't always dramas that have this effect on me.  Barefoot Friends, Running Man, 1N2D, Strong Heart have all left me in stitches because I couldn't stop laughing like a lunatic.  Just recently while watching Incarnation of Money's 2nd to last episode I was so grateful he wasn't at home, that I was alone as I went all crazy ahjumma screaming at my laptop & practically bouncing up & down in my manic breakdown.  I was a complete nut job.  Had a hard time falling asleep after that episode too.  Awake for hours!   Yeah, coffee is nothing, if you need to stay awake, compared to what an intense cliffhanger ending of a single K Drama episode can do to you, especially you already know that the answer to the cliffhanger will air the next day.

Up next, a good portion of us that love K Dramas, especially here in the US, do not even speak Korean & therefore rely, quite heavily, on those awesome wonderful subbers, who enable our K Drama fetish so nicely, by translating them for us.  But there are a few things I have found myself doing, my moments of 'lost in translation' madness, if you will.  In the beginning of this new found passion, I always noticed the subs.  But I had watched a ton of foreign films, so I was also used to them.  Now when I am watching K Dramas I don't even realize that they are there.  The first time I realized this was happening to me, about 3 months into this addiKtion, for just a split second I could swear I spoke perfect Korean.  Yes, I did for a split second I thought, 'Wow I am really beginning to understand this language!' & then I realized I was reading the screen & immediately thought, 'I am so glad I didn't say that out loud to anyone!'

I am a TRIED & TRUE K Drama Fan!

Then a few days, weeks, who knows how long later, my kids were home while I was watching & they were being excessively loud & I couldn't hear the K Drama and I yelled, I actually yelled at them, in exasperation no less,  "HEY!!  GUYS!!  Can you please hold it down or take it outside I can't hear what they're saying!!"   They all stopped & stared at me, looked at the computer screen & then back at me & it was my daughter who, at the time, was 7 years old, was the 'voice of reason' when she said, , "Mommy you can't understand what they're saying, you're reading the screen, why do we have to be so quiet for you to read?"    O.O    "Well....   ummm....   just...   just go outside & play!  Geesh!"  She had me right then, it wasn't until later that I finally had a come back, she was in bed though, so it did me no good.  But the next day I told her, "Mommy likes to hear the music & the way the characters say their lines so I can get a better understanding of what the feeling is in the scene."  I thought I was so clever, Oh yeah!  I bested my 7 year old, but apparently she had already moved on, at least that was my interpretation of her simple shrug & eye rolling as she walked away from me to get ready for school.

My next example is one we're all too familiar with, at least I hope others are as familiar with it as I am...that desperate need to see the next episode, of an already finished airing in Korea drama.  We tell ourselves, "I'll be responsible I'll just watch one more episode & then I'l..."  But 5 hours later & we're still glued to the screen of our computer.  It could be Lord of the Flies in our houses but we've been sucked into episode after episode after episode.  What the crap?!?  How do they do that???  I have finally learned when to walk away from a K Drama.  The perfect time to turn off a K Drama is in the middle of an episode, after the problem of the last episode has been solved & before the next one begins, the happy/boring setting up the next plot device part.  It could be 10 minutes in, 20 min or even only 10 min left in the whole show...that is when you turn it off & either get sleep, feed yourself or take care of those around us or our myriad other responsibilities we've ignored while we were staring like a band of slack jawed, decaying zombies, at the screen.  But in the beginning & every once in a while when it's a really great drama, yes I'm talking to you Sungkyunkwan Scandal, that I can't stop myself from loading ep after ep on my iPad or laptop or Hulu on my TV or .... you get the idea, I won't go on.

And last but not least, that desperate need to look up the actors in the Dramas you're watching, particularly the ones you are just seeing for the first time.  You become obsessed with their past dramas, movies, & forget about it if they are also KPop stars then you have to hear their music & watch their MVs.  I won't make any reference here ...  {{*cough*cough*Dongsaeng & her *cough*cough* obsession cough* cough* with Jaejoong after she watched Protect the Boss*cough*cough*}}  Was that subtle enough? You don't think she'll notice my coughing fit do you? o.O  Oh no!  I won't mention names mostly because I am guilty of it too.  The first time was Kim Hyun Joong after watching Boys Over Flowers which led to Playful Kiss & SS501 & then him as a solo artist, then it was Hyun Bin in Secret Garden, which led to Sam Soon & The World Within & then it was Jung Yong Hwa in You're Beautiful which led me to have to watch Heartstrings.  It's what led me to KPop to begin with.  With each new drama & new drama star (even the girls) if it was a good drama or if I liked the chemistry, acting or whatever magical thing it was, I have to see what else they've been in & see if they were as good in that.

Don't tell my husband!!  O.O Gasp!!

How do perfectly sane, normal people like you & I {{Watch it, all you smart alecs!  I am so sane!  My mother had me tested.  BTW: Did anybody get that reference there?  Here's a hint: you have to love brainiacs & nerds in order to get the reference.}} What is it?  What is the power behind the K Drama ability to make me act like I am a woman possessed?  How do they do it?  I see the subtle & not so subtle differences between US TV & Korean, I've already dished on that so I won't be going into it again.  I think it boils down to K Dramas have magical abilities.  That's it.  They're are using supernatural powers to make me their zombie slave.  And the funny thing is, I don't actually mind.  Not even a little bit.  Keep up the great job K Dramas, K Actors, K Actresses.  Just keep me entertained.  That's all I ask.

I hope everyone had fun reading about how Krazy I actually am & I hope to hear soon some of the insane things K Dramas have gotten you to do since you started being hypnotized by their magical power.  Don't be shy guys.  I showed my Krazy, you show me yours.  Fair is fair after all.

Saranghamnida,

P.S. And in case you didn't know Drama Fever announced the winners for the 2012 Drama Fever Awards there are even some really sweet acceptance speeches.

Enjoy AddiKts

Unnie's WWU: Shaking the Mid Week Slump K Style

IDK about you guys but I am having a seriously hard time getting motivated to move today.  Probably has to do with the 8 more inches of snow we got hit with in the last 24 hours.  I am SO ready for spring!  My kids had a snow day from school yesterday.  It was nice, we all spent the entire day in our jammies relaxing, playing games, reading & for me a good portion was spent marathoning Sungkyunkwan Scandal.  Up to ep 17 & that is exactly where I intend to be as soon as this here Wednesday Write Up has been completed. ^^ What can I say?  I just can't get enough of Yoochun.  He's just so dreamy.  Don't worry KHJ remains supreme in my crushes ^_~  but immediately after him are those sexy, cute, funny, handsome, charismatic JYJ guys.

Because of the excess snow that my area of the world has received lately I am fighting a bad case of winter blahs.  I just want to crawl back into my super warm, snuggly, soft, comforting bed & bury myself deeply under the covers.  Anybody else fighting the winter blahs?  I know Dongsaeng isn't fighting Winter Blahs.  Not living in sunny, warm, the trees are already budding leaves, Arizona.  Sharing pictures to FB just to torment the seasonally challenged me.  She has some nerve.  Punk!  Yeah I called her a punk, whatcha gonna do about it?  ;)

But it's back to school, back to chores, back to life & responsibilities today.  Just not enough sun this time of year to keep my spirits lifted though.  Especially after living in the sunny southwestern part of the US MOST of my life.  Sigh I miss the sun.  So, to get myself up & moving today I went to my YouTube Channel to force myself to get my ZING back.  Nothing makes me as happy as KPop!   It helps me find my happy.  And I LOVE my happy.  And guess what?  I found my smile again after just a few songs.  Which are still on auto play in the background as I type.  Ahhh....KPop thanks for making me smiley again.  So to get you all through the mid week slump, the winter blues, the I just wanna go back to bed day I am going to share my favorite songs.

I know this post is going to be short & you were probably hoping for an actual article about .... something.... interesting? News worthy?  Sorry, not today.  Today I want eye candy & happy, get me moving music & I want to just give my overly active brain a break in between all my mom chores.  You know cleaning, bills & phone calls to Dr offices.  And yes I leave the music running while I make the phone calls.  And I have had more than one person ask me what am I listening to in the background?  LOL  That, right there, is the best part of leaving the music on IMHO.

Have a great rest of the week AddiKts.  Spring will be here soon & I will be able to ditch the hoodie & jeans & snow boots for flip flops & capris.  CANNOT WAIT!!!  >.<  Until then enjoy the music & dream of cute Kpop stars.

Unnie's WWU: How BAD is my addiKtion?!? o.O

Last night I finished off Flower Boy Next Door.  Did any of you get to see the last ep yet?  {{Note* If NOTspoiler ahead skip the next few sentences}}  I will miss this sweet fluffy little drama.  It wasn't the best written drama.  And the chemistry (Okay the kiss left a lot to be desired) but the final kiss was much better.  It had a sweet wrap up ending full of happiness & simplicity.  Trite, predictable but sweet nonetheless.  Sigh.  Thankfully I am totally & happily in love with Incarnation of Money!  Like seriously it's going to be my favorite for this year I think!  Like AGD was for last year!  Kang Ji Hwan is just so perfect in his role as Lee Cha Don!  I only wish I had enough time to review both IMY & IoM!!  :(  I am watching so many dramas right now it's not even funny.  My obsession is as strong as ever!  And it's so awesome!  It has me wondering though...just how much is it affecting my life?  I've been thinking about it a lot actually & wondering if I am the only one out here, in this AddiKtion, that's trying to fully immerse themselves into another culture, even though they have no link or ties to that culture except through the internet?!?!  o.O

How exactly has your K obsession effected your life?  How have you incorporated it into your home?  How much time & energy do you spend watching K Dramas, MVs, Interviews, Musical montages of K Dramas or your bias all smooshed together on YouTube?  Do you still watch your regular programming on regular TV?  So you still listen to the music in your country & have favorite artists in your country?  Do you have photo books, magazine pictorials, posters of your bias in your home or on the walls in your home?  How much has your AddiKtion affected  your life?

Today I want to willingly & openly discuss what this AddiKtion has done to my life.

I will admit, until I went to Calif for my super fabu K weekend (Girls only) I had never bought a single thing online.  I had music from iTunes but I had never bought a CD or whole album that I could hold in my hand.  All the pictures I had were strictly found online & saved to my home computer (much to CAs dismay I am sure), to my laptop (much to my joy), & my iPad/iPhone.

Growing up in my father's house was not easy.  He's a good man, but an exacting one too.  Control issues like you would not believe.  I was not allowed to decorate my own room.  I did not pick out my furniture, bedding, window treatments or the colors on the wall (which was always just plain white).  I was not allowed to hang posters or anything on my walls without first getting them approved & even then he decided what hung where & everything had to be framed.  I am not kidding.  I didn't get to be my like my girlfriends & have dozens of fan mag pics covering every surface of my room.  I wasn't even allowed to waste my money on purchasing the fan mags to begin with.  And my room had to be organized & clean at all times, bed made, furniture dusted, closets & drawers ruthlessly organized.  I was given what he called "junk drawers" in my nightstands on each side of my bed for my mish-mash of various & sundries.  But even my junk drawers would be dumped on my bed, & I ordered to clean them out, if they got too cluttered or messy.  OCD to the enth power, chincha.

{{Sidebar: This is why, even though I hate that my kids rooms are a pig sty, they are their rooms & I just flat out tell them I refuse to walk into your room from here on out.  If you want to live like a pig, fine! It's your sty, just keep it in your room & keep your door shut, so I don't have to see it.  And this is also why I let my kids decorate their rooms however they want & choose everything themselves.  It's just a room & it's not MY room, kids need to express themselves & need to feel like they have a place they can be themselves.  Their room is the perfect spot.  I can always redecorate later, even if it means I have to scratch & burn the room. LOL  So if you ever come to my house, don't ask to see the kids rooms, I can't guarantee you'll come out alive! O.O}}

As a result of my not getting to be a teenage girl like my friends, I have found myself slowly reverting back to the days of my youth & the longing that comes from wanting to decorate my room/house w posters & pics of my fav actors, Kpop stars & dramas.  Of course, as I share a room w my husband, I feel it might be a bit much to ask him to have to put up with pics of Kim Hyun Joong or Big Bang on every surface.  IDK why but for some reason he wasn't the least bit interested when I asked if I could hang this pic above our bed?!?!   o.O

hehehehehe...dreamy sigh...hehehehehe...

ONLY KIDDING!!  I didn't ask if I could put this picture above our bed.  LOL

But it's not like the thought didn't cross my mind.

I just value my life too much to ask that question out loud!  {^_~}

I blame the influence of the KPop Crack store we found in the Korean Mall in Koreatown in LA.  It was the moment I walked into my new Mecca that I realized I wanted to buy ALL the Kpop stuff in the whole world.  And a monster was created.  Of course there is one problem...not enough money.  My friends who were with me, were both a help in keeping me from spending, but they were also one of the reasons I went back into the store several times to grab more.  Every time they showed me what they had, I decided I had to have one of those too!  Dongsaeng showed a lot more restraint that I did, but even she bought stuff she didn't need.  All we went in there for was to get the BB Crown Light Stick for the BB Alive concert, instead I came out nearly $150 poorer by the time I was finished.  *SMH*   Don't worry, I didn't forget the Light Stick!  As if!

We won't even mention that I went into a couple of other cute K stores & bought more stuff & the Face Shop is going to break my bank account!  It's KHJ's fault.  He calls to me to shop there because his face is plastered on every available surface & the women who work there think I am hysterically funny!!

{{I am of course but looks aren't everything you know!  Aish!}}

But my husband is such a good husband, he just smiles, shakes his head & teases me.  But he never once complained or nagged.  I managed to keep it to just music on iTunes after I got home but then another friend & I went on our own little exploration of Korea Town in Chicago (in Jan) & once again I was in the throes of MUST.  HAVE.  ALL. The. KPOP. STUFF!!!  (Yes this trip included the Face Shop as well...evil place!)

I called my husband from KPop America, a store in the Schaumburg Mall in Illinois, & asked him if I could get a bunch of KHJ posters & make a shrine to him in the back of my closet? I even offered to buy him a bunch of GG posters to make it even!  See I'm a cool wife.  He left it up to me, which is him saying, "Of course, sweetie! I have no problems with you worshiping another man, in our bedroom closet!"  At least that's what I heard.  *whistles innocently*

And so I did.  I made a KHJ shrine in my closet, basically I covered every inch of available wall space w a KHJ poster.  My teenage son said I'm just missing candles for my worship.  kekekeke...  He's not wrong.  I also have a KHJ desk calendar on my nightstand along w photo book behind it.

I still watch 2 or 3 US TV shows, I love Bones, & The Big Bang Theory & occasionally Castle but for the most part I just watch K Dramas & K reality shows.  I love Running Man!!  I am still watching re runs of 1N2D & Strong Heart.  Love that Dimple best of all.  I still listen to US music too P!NK, 5 Finger Death Punch, Green Day, Eminem, ...  but there is FAR more KPop on my iPod than US rock.

I'm even teaching myself, with the help of the amazing people at The Talk to Me in Korean website how to read, write & speak Hangeul.  I love learning other languages.  I had so much fun learning French in school.  Of course learning alone, online, while trying to balance a family of 6 & all the responsibilities that accompany that role is not easy, so my lessons are very slow going.  I find I have to repeat the lessons regularly before I have really got everything down enough to move on.  I am loving every minute of it.

I keep all my favorite K Sites within easy reach on my link bar above.  One quick click & I can check out K news, watch K drama, look for MVs on YouTube.  If you have fav sites that you don't see in the pic let me know & I will check them out & most likely add them to my list of favs as well.

And I have a huge list of K-related YouTube Channels I subscribe to as well. Including EYK.   Cannot miss Music Monday or FAPFAP or WANKs!!!

And of course who can forget my Pinterest boards.  Ahhhh I find such joy in saving pins of all of my favorites to Pinterest.

Btw did ya notice....I have over 2000 pins of KHJ alone.  Seriously I need an intervention.  I keep thinking I need to just stop pinning him.  If for some strange reason I actually meet him I will be SO incredibly embarrassed to admit to all these pins of him!!  But then I see others pin him & that they have almost as many pins of him as I do & I think, "OH HECK NO SHE DIDN'T!" LOL  Yeah at this point it's a mix of how much I admire him & also the competitiveness of my nature.  Must have the MOST KHJ pins of all!!  O_O  Nope I'm not crazy.  Not.  At.  All.  {{Pardon me while I roll my eyes again @.@ }}  Especially since I am sure someone that's even bigger freak than I am probably has a million more than I do.  But in my head I have the most KHJ pins.  Of course in my head everything sounds better.  kekekeke...

Considering I am co-founder of a blog dedicated to all things Korean, you might say well her family & friends must not bother her about her AddiKtion too much or at all.  You'd be so wrong!  None of my friends or family reads this here blog, except those who are also AddiKted!  (which totals to about 3 ppl beside Dongsaeng)

Even though my son likes Kpop music too, has a ton of it on his iPod & even CA has a few songs himself, & even though my son likes Japanese Anime & the action K Dramas they all still tease me & try to knock my K dramas & music all the time! It's okay, it doesn't bother me.  In fact, I know that CA has at least a slight interest in all this stuff...like I said he has a few KPop songs in his repertoire & last week he bought his first Korean Movie on DVD.  The Thieves.  Very good movie!  He said he saw it at Best Buy & it looked interesting.  He brought it home & said, "You're going to laugh at me."  I asked why & after he told me & I said "AWESOME!"  He then announced that as soon as the episode of the show I was marathoning was over, he was going to put in the movie so we could watch it right away.  He liked it a lot.  Enough that I got him to watch one episode of Iris 2 with me, which he didn't really care for.  He said it was "Confusing as crap!"  LOL  Of course he hadn't seen the first Iris so he was really lost.  Even after all that, he still teases me, he'll never fully admit that he kind of likes this Korean AddiKtion of mine, heaven forbid he let me think I am right about something!!

I saw a pin on Pinterest yesterday, that perfectly summed up my reaction every time one of my family (ie CA) disses my K Dramas or KPop...

So you see, I love my AddiKtion & yes it influences almost every part of my world, to some degree.  BUT I still have a sense of humor about it.  I remember that not everyone is going to love my K World, in other words not everyone can be perfect. :)

Tell us how bad is your addiKtion.  No one will judge you here.  This is a safe zone.  I am Krazy enough to admit the severity of my AddiKtion you can feel free to admit yours too.  And to help encourage you to be even more Krazy I will leave you all the latest MV from Teen Top to get you up & moving & help your Wednesday pass that much faster...

Have a great rest of the week AddiKts!!

Unnie's WWU: Hyun Bin's free!!!

That's right!!  Hyun Bin, best known for his roles in My Lovely Sam Soon & Secret Garden, (at least to Dongsaeng & I) has been officially released from his mandatory 21 months of military service!

Let the squee fest begin now!!!

SQUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on join us!!  We know you want to, your family knows you want to, (unless you haven't come out of the K closet yet about your addiKtion), YOU know you want to.  Just join in the squueeeeing fun!!

SQUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Dongsaeng & I first started watching K Dramas, Secret Garden was one of our first & is STILL one of our all time favorites!  I, myself, have re watched Secret Garden at least 5 times, from start to finish!  I will never get enough of that drama.  It has romance, mystery, comedy, chemistry, sexiness, amazing dialogue, great characters, awesome acting, directing & its perfection, IMHO.  And one of the MAIN reasons I LOVE this drama is HYUN BIN!!!  The very first Korean Man I ever called "Oppa", in my head at first, then on my Eye Candy Pinboard & then out loud & on this blog for all the world to hear.  Of course now Hyun Bin Oppa has his very own Pinboard all to himself.  {{We'll just ignore the fact that he's actually 7 years younger than I am.  He's my 1st "Oppa".  I talk about that more at length here.}}

Now, I must state one thing, one fact, clearly.  I watched Secret Garden before Dongsaeng.  I fell for Hyun Bin Oppa before Dongsaeng & encouraged her to watch SG too.  She loved it & liked him a lot BUT it wasn't until she watched My Lovely Sam Soon that she felt he was swoon worthy.  She didn't care for the Joo Won hair do in SG.  So I should, by all rights, have first dibs on Hyun Bin Oppa as he was mine first!  Rules of engagement AddiKts!  I saw him first!  MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE....  Ahem... going for dignity but I really don't think I will actually land anywhere near dignity as I left the "Land of Dignity" somewhere along the first "Squuee..." on this post.

{{whispers he's still mine first}}  *clearing throat*

Back to the post.  Hyun Bin Oppa's release...  21 months ago on March 7th 2011, just as Dongsaeng & I were discovering the K world for real, Hyun Bin volunteered to serve the ROK via the Marine corps.  We were devastated!  No!!  Not our Binnie!!!  Like the rest of the K Loving/Binnie Loving world we sniffed & weeped & tried to put on a brave face as we watched our Binnie enter the service for his country.  We were also very proud of our "Oppa".  And immediately began our countdown!  Dec 2012 could not get here soon enough.  All year long we have waited & watched & counted down the days.  Literally as Dongsaeng put that countdown widget clock thing on her Dongsaeng page.  And before we could blink & while we were falling for other amazingly good looking, talented K Stars, our Binnie was released.

As I waited for my son in Tae Kwon Do tonight, working on Christmas cards for an amazing group of K friends, Dongsaeng texted me that it was 50 MINUTES till HB's release!  Which got me all excited, as I knew it was coming, but was so super busy, being Super Mom today, that I hadn't really had a chance to remember my name, let alone Hyun Bin's imminent release.

Once I had the chance I searched out articles on HB's release & read his statement.  I loved what he had to say...

“I really appreciate all the fans and the reporters for coming to see me in spite of the snowy weather. 21 months ago, I promised that I would come out as a stronger person. I think I’ve kept that promise because I feel that I’ve become stronger and more confident, serving in the Marine Corps. I was really thankful for your support and interest before I started doing my military service. Many people have supported and encouraged me even during the military service.”

Then he broke down a little when he went on to say....

“I wanted to act so much."

He continued with....

“I thought so when I was watching other actors acting when I was on furlough because I couldn’t be part of it. I can now, so I want to prepare a lot before I actually start acting again. I’ve saved all the energy I’ve received from you, and I’ll return it to you soon.”

quoted from article found on Korea.com

I am so excited to see what he does first.  I'm excited to see anything.  What do you guys hope he does first?  Do you want him to do another drama?  A movie?  What kind of Drama?  Melodrama?  Comedy?  Rom/Com?  I have no idea but I can't wait to see him in anything.  I just want to SEE him.  Period.  End of sentence.  Oh Hyun Bin Oppa thank you for coming back safely & so quickly...although it didn't feel like it went by quickly, while we waited, but it was quick.  Sending him many good luck wishes for his future acting endeavors.

And because it wouldn't be fair to talk about the yummy Hyun Bin Oppa without showing pictures here you go.  Pictures from his press conference today.  Enjoy Addikts.

Btw these pics were found in the Soompi article about his release.  For more pics from this same article follow the link.

Hyun Bin chokes up when he talks of how much he wanted to act.

Bow of gratitude.

Final Salute before discharged.

It's been a crazy, busy, hectic week; in a crazy, busy, hectic time of year.  I hope you enjoyed this week's Wednesday Write Up.  And now I leave you with a MV of "That Man" Hyun Bin version from Secret Garden.

Enjoy.

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: Too "Oppa" Aggressive?

Whilst discussing the K Dramas I have been watching recently, with some friends, the topic of American women being more aggressive in their "Oppa" enthusiasm than others came up.

How did I get on this topic?  I don't know.  My mind, as you all know, does what it wants to do...I just try to hang on & see where it will lead me.  However, I will say that last week's WWU was very serious & while it was my most read post on TCA, it was also not my forte.  I am not generally speaking a serious minded person.  Last week I was passionate about injustice & bullying.  This week I am passionate about Oppas!  ;) Or more importantly our love for our "Oppas".

Totally for the plot alone! hmmm-mmm...That is
some good "Plot"!
Yeppers music is the only reason to watch these guys  dance.

@.@

Now, we all know that Korean Dramas are an accurate & true portrayal of real life in South Korea, right?!?! o.O   After all if it's on the magic box in our living room or the magic box that sits on our desk it must be valid & true!  So where does that leave us?  According to Simon & Martina over at Eat Your Kimchi Koreans are indeed very conservative when it comes to public displays of affection.  Especially in contrast to North Americans, who believe they can & should do whatever the heck they want, whether they are in public or not.  I wish I could erase some of the images, of couples I've seen, & how they practically maul each other.  But they don't cover whether or not in the homes & groups of women if they are just as outspoken about men etc... as we are.  Personally, I think it depends on the women & the group.  Just as it does here.  I have some friends that would never dream of talking about men the way I do.  It's only with my really close, trustworthy bestie type friends that I let Naughty Unnie loose.  And even then I keep her on a tight leash.  ^.^  And they know I am just kidding around, that I heart my CA the mostest!!

You should hold him against me too!
Now that is the kind of corporal punishment I can support!

Which I think segues nicely into why I started this topic....I think.  I'll know when my brain gives me my point, after I make it.  Confused?  Me too.  So the last couple of months worth of K Dramas have been decidedly tame & conservative.  Especially in the kisses department.  Good heat & potential but I had to get to episode 17 of Faith ... pardon me for a minute I feel it must be said....
She was seriously pushing it in this scene!

& Arang in order to get a decent kiss.  And even then one was eyes open & just a ploy; while in the other the female lead stood stock still, not moving her arms or her lips, while sexy Jun Ki did all the work.  And he did a really REALLY FABU job too.

Granted, you are right now reminding me, that both of these dramas are saeguk dramas & the kissing is supposed to be almost non existent.  I don't care!!  I want a good K Drama kiss, IE the FBRS' "I'm Not Finished Kiss" or the Personal Taste's "Game Over" kiss or Secret Garden's.... well actually, SG had really great kiss scenes throughout.  Same can be said of the Lie to Me kisses!  Maybe the drama itself left a little to be desired BUT you have to admit, it had really great kiss scenes.  Hmmm....Kang Ji Hwan...that is a good looking man right there.  When is he going to be in another K Drama?!?!

I had a point to this ramble.....
No....that wasn't my point.  It's a Valid point but it isn't my main point.

Oh yeah.

Okay I'm back, as much as I loved TTBY, it was a high school type of drama, so the kisses were nothing more than squish kisses.  And while Panda & Hedgehog had potential in the beginning, it fizzled halfway through & we were all going...huh? o.O  {{scratches head quizzically}}  Donghae, of SuJu fame was pretty hot though, so I know I only tuned in for him.  Although P & H did have an awesome Bromance story & interactions between the other characters, the romance in that one just went pppbbbbllllttttt 8P right down the drain.  By the end I had to remind myself that they were even still dating.  And I am also watching Bridal Mask, have made it to episode 12, another not so much with the kissing, kind of drama, I'm loving the story & the action etc but sad there isn't a whole lot of kissing going on.  Dongsaeng assures me I would love Reply 1997, lots of good kissing, but I just haven't had the time to sit & start it & I wanted to finish off a few other dramas first.

My point, I am getting there AddiKts, is that I have, on more than a few occasions, over the last couple of months, found myself yelling at my screens, "Kiss him already.  You're right there!! He's sad!  He needs comforting, just kiss him!  Sit in his lap & snuggle & then kiss him!!"  I'm not screaming jump his bones!  Just kiss him!  Is it really too aggressive?  I don't want a bed scene, I just want them to kiss.  Really kiss, not squish kiss, or eyes open kiss, or kiss but refuse to move or be pliant toward the one you are supposed to be falling in love with.  An honest to goodness kiss.  Two sets of lips moving, arms encircling each other.  Make it look like you are enjoying kissing your co-star not like you would recommend a breath mint to them!  Is it really that aggressive?  I'd never lump myself into a bad girl or aggressive girl kind of category.  After all I've been happily married to my CA for a really long time & he was my main man from my teen years.  No, I didn't really date a lot before I found my real life Oppa.  Back then I was very naive & didn't really get dirty jokes.  But I've always hearted the good kiss scenes in movies & books.  Always.

I have friends like this...chincha!  You know who you are.

Maybe some women, in all countries, are better at controlling their inner fan girl than I am?  Okay, I can handle that.  But I believe that women are women are women, no matter where they live or what language they speak, just like men are men etc...  When talking to my female friends about men & "other" topics we hold nothing back.  Especially, when we feel safe & secure in the group's dynamics.  In other words, if we feel safe in expressing ourselves & not worried about our REAL thoughts getting out, we'll let loose with the double entendres, the off color remarks, & our dirty minds... same as men will in the proverbial "locker room".  Only we tend to not cuss as much, at least I think we don't cuss as much.  Just my opinion.  Of course there are those women that are really uptight & never let themselves talk about "things".  And then there are some who let loose w/ every thought that pops into their mind & totally ignore the filtering process.  In other words there are exceptions to every rule.  Where do you fit in that group?  Are you the express yourself  & can take a dirty joke or off color remark w/ a good laugh & enjoy the flow of the conversation type or are you the keep your thoughts to yourself, act like a lady & never talk about certain subjects type?  Or somewhere in the middle?

After some of the conversations that my friends & I have had about our "Oppas"?  Wow!  O.O  I think if  guys knew half of the things we say about them, they'd run for their lives from the crazy women that secretly stalk them.  And since I am pretty sure MOST of our readers are women as well, I feel it safe to assume you guys are all talking to your TVs/laptops/iPads etc...much the same way I have been to mine.  And you've been talking to each other about it as well, am I right?  It's okay to admit it here.  This is a safe zone.  This is the AddiKts zone.  It's okay to "Squee" & talk Oppas here as much as we want to.

Our poor Oppas....if they ONLY knew the truth.

My main point is; you can NEVER be too Oppa Agressive....except for Sasaeng fans.  Those sickos need to be stopped.  For the proper way to stalk your bias see my WWU that covers that very subject right... Here.

And in a related topic....  How many of you would be willing to watch an incredibly handsome, talented, beautiful, sexy man sing beautifully about commitment & love in a Music Video?!?!  Yeah, I figured that'd get your attention!  ;)  Well let's help Xiah Junsu's "Uncommitted" reach 2 million views on YouTube.  After you watch spread the word, share it on Twitter & tag Junsu & Bruce Vanderveer to let them know you watched & supported our beautiful Junsu & by extension all of JYJ.

I hope you had a nice giggle at today's WWU & that you remember to share & spread the TCA love to all you know.  "Like" this post on FB, Google + it, Tweet about it, everyone should know how to be Oppa Aggressive after all, right?  As usual the pics used in today's WWU are not mine or TCA's, with the exception of the first pic.  I made that.  Of course I used more pics that I don't know in order to make it but you get the idea.

So here is my therapy for today.
