Orguri Shun was very busy last year completing three dramas, one of them being "Nobunaga Concerto." Adapted from a Manga, it is the story of a boy that goes back in time and takes the place of his doppelganger to become the man who unifies Japan.
Synopsis (My Drama List): Saburo is a high school student good in sports, but not very good with his studies. One day, Saburo travels back in time and arrives in the Sengoku period of 1549. There, Saburo meets Nobunaga Oda who looks and sounds just like him, though he is physically weaker. The son of a warlord and magistrate of the lower Owari Province, Nobunaga Oda asks Saburo to take his place, giving him a chance to attempt to unify the country of Japan in his place.
Hopefully we will be able to see the conclusion of the story, since the drama ended on a cliffhanger. I would highly suggest everyone to watch first the drama then the movie. Nobunaga Concerto is one of the best time travel Asian dramas that I have watched. Also the acting was top notch with a solid storyline that combined heart, humor, and action seamlessly.
Nobunaga Concerto: The Movie will be released in January and I am hoping that subbed copies will be up online sooner than later.
