This weekend, the 'Loof' will be on fire!

Can you tell, by the title, what I'm talking about?

Just in case here you go....

Sorry I couldn't help myself, Himchan you are so cute!

And I am back, to my topic today.
This weekend is the BAP concert in Indiana. But not alone...

We even have a countdown widget for it,
 that's how excited we are to see each other.
Oh that's right, Uri Dongsaeng is going with me, along with another one of our friends.  That's right Unnie & Dongsaeng will be together this weekend and seeing BAP live in concert!!!!

How awesome is that?!?!  Probably not as big of a deal to you guys as it is to us.  What have I been doing in preparation for her most daebak arrival?  Getting more & more excited!  Tomorrow morning I will head to the Metra station in Illinois to pick her up & then Saturday she & our friend will be leaving kids here w CA, & heading into K Town in Chicago & then down to Merrillville, IN for the concert!  Beyond excited!!  I SO NEED THIS ONE DAY VACATION, KRAZY AHJUMMAS ONLY!!!

Unless you know BAP wants to hang with us too, that would be allowed.  Yup totally doable...uhhh that sounded better in my head.  Sorry.  I meant we would be completely okay with the idea of hanging with the guys.

If you're there & you bump into us & recognize us, please feel free to come up to us & say "Annyeong!"  We'd love that!  We can hang, talk K Pop, K Drama, biases, whatever!

Until then I will continue my BAP playlist of MVs on Youtube.  In fact, I will share some of my fav BAP MVs to help your day go by faster.  Then back to tidying up the house & prepping for her visit.

Starting with their latest...

And probably my favorite of them all...
Badman (filmed in my own home town Detroit, MI)

Okay, this last one is one is pure joy to me. To listen to AND watch.  How could you not love a song where a cute boy sings, "the 'Loof' is on fire"?!?!  Come on!!

So do you have a BAP Bias? It's all about Yong Guk for me.  That deep voice is meltworthy.  The others are adorable & I want to crush on them too, especially Daehyun & Youngjae, BUT they are a little too young for me.  I have got that invisible line of which to be aware.  I hope all of you are having an excellent week.  I'm back to work around here.  Oh and enjoy Easter!  You know if you celebrate Easter etc...

More Baby Love {Monday Morning Therapy with Dongsaeng}

Good Monday morning.  It is indeed a fabulous Monday.  I have a monster headache that kept me up a lot of the night and a Little Popper home for day 2 of a stomach bug.  But, I will not let that get me down or sway me from coming here and sharing some love with you all to help you through your Monday as well.  No siree!  You're going to have to do better than that Monday!  (*Please note:  Just so we're clear, Monday, this is not me issuing you a challenge.  I know the force of destruction you are capable of.  I would never be so foolish as to tell you to "come at me bro".  I am merely trying to portray a stiff upper lip for my dear readers.  Please, for the love of all that is good in this world, please go easy on me.  Just let me maintain some of my dignity and street cred, even as I cry "uncle" in your wake).

Okay, so let me just get the obvious out of the way first for today and give you proper warning.  It's going to be yet another Jaejoong related post.  You're either cool with that and cheering or groaning in despair and clicking the little x to shut me up.  Hey, what can I say?  It's just been a Jae kind of month.  First with the single track pre-release of "One Kiss", followed by the release of his first solo album "I" and MV, "Mine".  After that it was his birthday and then his fan meet/mini concert.  Toss in the fact that he's the world's most gorgeous creature and you can see why he's come up a lot lately here.

Forgive me for a moment while I just have a mini rant.  Mini.  Not big.  I have to get this off my chest though because it has really been bothering me.  I just want to know why, when he has topped the charts for 2 weeks now, why he has not been able to appear on television music shows like Music Core or Inkigayo?  Okay, that's a rhetorical question there.  I know why.  And it really infuriates me.  It's so not fair.  I know that no one that can do anything to change it will ever read this, but if they did, I would want to let them know that it sure isn't painting them in a very good light in the world view.  Guess what Shady Dealer Dudes and Dudettes in The Industry?  Like it or not, Korea and KPop are appearing on the world stage.  More eyes than ever are turned in your direction.  You think that things like this won't go unnoticed or ignored?  We see what's happening.  We don't like it.  We can't do much about it, but for being so image conscious when it comes to public appeal, you're screwing up here.  It's wrong and petty and needs to just end.  Now.  No, not now.  Yesterday.  No, not yesterday either.  4 years ago.  LET IT GO!  Move on.  Let these young men continue unhindered in their careers.  As their popularity increases, it just makes you look worse.  They've paid the price for their audacity to stand up for themselves.  No, you know what?  For the sake of argument, let's say they were 100% completely in the wrong (they're not, but let's just say that).  Even if they were 100% in the wrong 4 years ago for breaking away, ...seriously?  4 years later we still have to be playing these childish games?  Guess what?  These 3 guys aren't going away.  They are not fading into obscurity as you hoped.  They're here, they're loved by many, and they're going to keep finding success despite your petty attempts to stop them.  Let. It. Go.  Chill.  Move on.  Enough is enough. Rant done.

Ahem...sorry, where was I?

Ah yes, the marvelously talented, impeccably beautiful, Perfect Personified, Kim Jae Joong.

As I mentioned, he held a two day fan meet and mini concert in celebration of his first solo project as well as his 27th birthday over the weekend.  Now, I'm a stay-at-home-mom.  I didn't have the luxury of attending it myself obviously (trust me, you would have known if I had been there as I would have never shut up about it...ever), but others did and they scored some fancam moments.  A quick little search of our addicKtion lifeline/dealer, aka YouTube, nets some lovely gems.  Today's prescription will be some doses of clips from this event.  Take as needed and repeat as many times as you want in a 24 hour (or longer) period.

This is a cute little clip where Jae calls Junsu while on stage. Cute! My understanding, and correct me if I'm wrong here, is that this is from the first night and on the second night he called Yoochun. These three...seriously so adorable! I just love them all.

P.S.  Yes, there are plenty of other videos available out there of other songs from the album.  But since I love him so much and want to support him in whatever tiny ways I can, I'm only going to include the two songs that are already publicly available.  Hate me all you want, but there it is.  Which reminds me...I'm hoping for a very special package to arrive anytime now!  My album and JJ poster is on its way.  My fellow Jae-obsessed friend already had hers delivered on Friday, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is going to be in my little hands and ringing in my lucky little ears very, very soon.  Today would be great.  Would really help perk up this Monday, don't you think?

And that's it for me today.  The headache is demanding no more screen time from me at the moment.  I hope that you all have an absolutely wonderful Monday and week.  May your day and week be filled with great dramas and toe-tapping music.  May a smile spread wide on your face at at least one point in your day.

{Monday Morning(ish) Therapy with Dongsaeng} The Perfect Pilgrimage

Good morning/afternoon/evening all you wonderful addicKts you!  Boy oh boy, do I have a lot of ground to cover today.  I'll probably save some for Unnie to chat about on Wednesday, but then again, maybe not.  We'll just have to see where we go with this.

First of all, if you were following our sporadic postings on FB/Twitter, you could probably tell that we were having the time of our lives this weekend.  Seriously.  Wow.  We are talking full K-immersion.  Southern Californians?  They've got it going on when it comes to this stuff.  I texted The Husband while there and told him that I had found my personal Mecca.  Picture this - entire malls 100% Korean.  Stores, food court, clientele, everything Korean.  Holy freaking moly - it was so awesome!

Before I go any further, I realize that some of you may just want to hear about the actual concert and not just our travelogue, so for you, I will do you a favor and start with that before launching into the full tale of our travels and time together.  See, I'm still on the post-concert high and feeling very generous.  I love the whole world and everyone in it today.  I saw Big Bang.  Big Freaking Bang.  In person.  They were in the same arena as little ol' me.  TOP, Daesung, Taeyang, Seungri, and GDragon.  They sang and danced for me (and a few other thousand-some-odd people).  It was like the crowning point of my life.  It's right up there with wedding day and the birth of my children.  Can I be perfectly honest?  It may have even been better than those events.  Don't tell my family that though - it'll be our little secret.  ;)  The whole thing was just overwhelming and is kind of a blur.  Certain moments certainly stand out though, like GD's face while singing.  That image will never leave my memory.  It's there for all time.  And I can pull it out anytime I need a pick-me-up.  I adore that man.  He is...just...yeah.  Wow.  Naughty Dongsaeng approves.  The Husband should be grateful I came home instead of becoming a groupie and following Big Bang all over the world, that's all I'm saying.  ;)

So, I don't have like the set list or anything.  I can't tell you everything that they sang.  Like I said, it's all just one amazing haze of awesomeness.  I was thrilled that GD did a full version of Crayon.  And like Unnie said in her post, we got to sing happy birthday to TOP, who's birthday was, if you're going by the time in Seoul, that night.  I videoed it same as Unnie, but again, our seats were nosebleeders, so the quality isn't the best.  However, Seungri?  Yeah, he was in a perfect spot, right there on stage and so he videoed it for us.  Wasn't that nice of him?  He's pretty amazing, that Seungri.  If you haven't seen it yet, check out this video.  TOP is absolutely totally and completely adorable!!!

They did a phenomenal job.  The whole concert was just indescribable.  The encore was amazing.  They did another, uhm, like 4-5 songs maybe?  Don't know - the number was lost in that pesky memory haze which wasn't helped by all the crazy fangirl moments like Taeyang running around the crowd without his shirt on or TOP receiving a shirt/clothing item of some kind from a fan, wiping his face on it and then handing it back to the fan.  Or the water Daesung was flinging all over the VIP section.  It was a fanatic feeding frenzy of fantastic fangirl moments.

*Happy, contented sigh*

Okay.  That's what I'm going to say about the concert for now.  Time to log all that travel now.

Unnie flew into town on Thursday and spent the day with her sister.  Then that evening she came over to my house for a bestie slumber party.  We had a lot of visitors stop by to see the guest of honor - lots of old friends from when she lived here.  She is a very loved individual which probably surprises nobody.  She's just so lovable, isn't she?  Anyway, so we partied late into the night with our old friends (well, her old friends, my current friends since I still live here and all - potato, potato).  Then Friday morning after getting kids off to school and taking care of a few things, we hit the open road.  By 4-something Friday afternoon, we were all checked in to our hotel which was literally across the street from the Honda Center - the venue for the concert.  We could see it from our room - how awesome is that?

After getting all settled in it was time to head over to meet in person a group of ladies that we have, up until now, only known online.  We've mentioned here before a Facebook group that we are members of that consists of Kpop/Kdrama fans, and over the months have grown close to many of them.  Seems weird maybe, and it's kind of hard to explain, but there it is anyway.  It's actually possible to make real friends and connections over the internet.  Who knew?  So we went to one members' home that lives in the area to meet everyone and enjoy a lovely dinner together.  There were 6 of us total from all over the country (actually, one was Canadian too) gathered together for this concert.  Meeting them was incredibly cool.  It wasn't even weird or awkward even though technically we were strangers.  It was all smiles and big ol' hugs and girly squeals from the get go.  Our hostess for the evening's husband made us the most amazing Korean meal.  Seriously so good.  We hung out and laughed and played and had a blast.  Then we hit the town!  Our hostess took us to where we could find our first installment of Korean immersion.  Oh yeah - we hit the norebang baby!  We sang our little hearts out and shocked the employee when we told her we didn't want Michael Jackson or Justin Bieber - that we were there for BigBang and we wanted KPop and only KPop.  Her response?  "But you're so..."  Our collective response?  "White?  Yeah, we know".  "Old" would have worked too.  We were shocking them all left and right this weekend.  Our hostess' husband at dinner said, "I never thought I'd live to see the day when white people would like this [Korean/Asian] stuff" (he and his wife are Chinese - it would probably make more sense if you knew that I guess - he wasn't being offensive or anything - it was actually quite hilarious).  So we started calling ourselves the 8th wonder of the world.

Saturday was LA KTown day.  This was when we got to see the all Korean malls.  And we found the 'crack' store as we so lovingly call it.  It was a store filled with Kdrama and Kpop paraphernalia.  Pictures, postcards, pens, socks - you name it, they had it.  We were like kids in a candy store.  It was a feeding frenzy.  After shopping and sufficiently draining our bank accounts and/or doing our best to keep Visa alive and healthy, it was time for the food court.  This isn't your average American food court.  Oh no siree!  It was an all Korean food court.  With real Korean food.  And a whole lot of it.  The portion sizes are gigantic!  You get a lot for your money.  It was delicious.
Dolsot Bibimbap (rice and vegetable in hot stone bowl) with all the banchan (side dishes) - $10.  Not bad for all that food.  And this picture was taken as I was finishing all I could eat.

So we spent all day shopping and absorbing all that KTown had to offer,
Unnie found her Hyun-y!

then it was back to Orange County to get ready for the concert!  And since I already told you all about that, I'll skip to the end.  We were on such a happy high after the concert.  We all hung out in the hotel room squeeing and reliving every moment and fangirling over our boys and how hawt they all were.  Then Unnie and I dropped the other 4 back off at Miss Hostess's house and went back and crashed for the night.

Sunday we all kind of did our separate thing since we were staying separately.  The 4 went out for brunch while Unnie and I hit Huntington Beach.  Unnie grew up in the area so of course we had to go back to her beach and see the ocean before heading home.  It was lovely just sitting there in the sand, soaking up the sun and enjoying the sound of the waves.
HellO ocean!

Then it was time for goodbyes.  We met up with our friends after they finished their lunch, said our farewells, took a ton of pictures, and then we hit the road once again, Unnie and I.  After a quick detour to see her old stomping grounds, we drove back to Arizona.
Looonnnggg, boring drive of vast nothingness. Thank goodness for all that KPop we had ready on hand to keep us sane (you know, relatively speaking lol).

Then this morning I took her to the airport and she flew home.  And now here I am, going through withdrawals.  It was such a spectacular adventure and a memory I will treasure for always.  I am grateful for friends, old and new and for the shared love of Big Bang that brought us all together.  :)
Unnie and Dongsaeng - together again <3

Sorry for the long travelogue all about us.  It was just such a cool experience that I wanted to share with you all.  I hope you don't mind.  We'll get back to business soon enough.  Maybe once Big Bang leaves our country.  Until then, I can't help but be distracted knowing that they're here on American soil.  Golly gosh gee willikers - I heart those boys!

Now, it is nearly 10pm my time.  Obviously the whole "Morning(ish)" title doesn't apply to this post.  My apologies.  I had to take Unnie to the airport in the morning and then go out to lunch with my poor, sweet, neglected husband.  After that the kids were home (early release day of course) and bogarting the computer for homework or some junk like that.  Sheesh.  Homework.  Psh!  Lame.  xD  I hope you all had a spectacular weekend as well.  And if any of you were at either concert, drop us a line and let us know what you thought.  We can collectively SQUEEE together as we remember the good times.  Until next time, may your week be filled with wonderful dramas!

Thanks for stopping by!

<3

P.S.  And if you live in America - be sure to get out and vote tomorrow!

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: Fans that take it too seriously

Writing this week's WWU has posed me with a conundrum of sorts.  I want to be a well rounded writer & be able to write on a variety of topics & not allow myself to be pigeon holed as the actual "crazy" ahjumma.  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore writing the funny posts, that focus solely on the hotness of our oppas, the hotness of the kiss scenes (or lack thereof) etc.... And I know last week I said that in general I am not a serious person.  Which is true...I do have a tendency toward the foolish & laughable.  That is a self defense mechanism though.  My life has been full of trials & challenges, so to protect myself from focusing solely on the pain, I force myself to find the funny in... well, just about everything.  I think that's one of the draws for me to Korean Dramas so much.  When they do humor, they do it really well.  I love their humor.  Just like I like British, Irish, & Canadian humor.  So when it came time for this week's write up, I was pondering the merits of a serious research based post or just a lot of fluff to make you all smile.  And quite possibly make you shake your head at the nut job that calls herself  Unnie.  Seriously, who calls themselves Older Sister?!?!  o.O  In this respect I feel like an actor must feel when they face the threat of the dreaded "typecast".  *Shudder*

Therefore, I have decided....{{drum roll please}} to write a mostly serious post w/ a little humor thrown in when it gets uncomfortable.  I hope this works out in reality the way it sounds in my head.  One friend suggested I go the humorous route & I almost did but this idea has been in my head for over a week now & I just had to get it out.

*Blows bangs off forehead*

One of the things I found out after becoming a KPop fan is that each performer/group has their own group of fans.  And that the fan clubs have names.  This is a new concept to me, who grew up with US music.  It's not like MJ had a group of fans that called themselves the Billie Jeans or the Thrillers or the Mirrors.
{{Get it?  It's from his song, "Man in the Mirror"?}}

They were just MJ fans.  Or the fans of Madonna calling themselves the Virgins/Vogues/Rays of Light, you get my point.  It just doesn't happen here, w/ the exception of Lady Gaga & her "Monsters", remember there are exceptions to every rule & Lady Gaga?  Well, she's always an exception.  But the KPop loving world takes their fan group names seriously.  They cast votes & the artists approve the fan group name.  This blows my mind.  I'm not quite sure why.  It was something I wanted to talk about though so I did a little research.  There are the group names; BigBang fans are called, "VIPs", 2NE1 fans are called, "Blackjacks".  And there are individual performers fan clubs.  Kim Hyun Joong's fan group's name are the "Henecias" & Lee Seung Gi's are called "Airens".  But there are also individual fan club names for members of each group.  For example from the group Big Bang; G Dragon fans are called *for obvious reasons* "Dragons", T.O.P fans are called "Charmers" *again a rather apt name as he is himself exceptionally charming, sigh*.  Even the actors themselves get fan club names.

The fans get even more serious when a group breaks up, as in the case of DBSK.  When Jaejoong, Junsu, & Yoochun broke away from DBSK (TVXQ) & formed JYJ, the fans, for the most part, divided down the middle.  Some stayed w/ DBSK & claimed that the 3 men that left, were traitors.  And the other half of the fans, went w/ JYJ & called SMEnt & the remaining  2 members of DBSK their own bad names.  A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post regarding the treatment Junsu received from SBS during the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony & how they turned the cameras off before he could perform on air.  I won't digress, if you didn't read it & your curiosity is now piqued you can see it HERE.  I was also tweeting it constantly, supporting JYJ & Junsu & Jaejoong & Yoochun like crazy.  That post alone gotten 497 views since it went LIVE on TCA.  More than any other of my WWU has ever gotten.  Shortly after that post one of my Jess Unnie followers on Twitter went on a rant using the foulest of language about how JYJ were the traitors & that I should stop spreading lies & a few other nasty things.  Shortly after that, I no longer had that follower, not because I blocked him/her but because they simply stopped following me.  I welcome all viewpoints, as long as they are given respectfully.  This was not respectful.

It shook me to hear such vitriol come from another human being over a band's break up.  Personally, I loved DBSK when it was the 5 guys & I still love it with Changmin & Yunho, 2 very talented & sexy men themselves.  But I also love JYJ.  But I wasn't around during the tumultuous & heart breaking break up.  So maybe I would be split as well.  My beef does not lie at the feet of the 2 men who stayed & continued to be DBSK.  It lies with SMEnt alone.  {{And all the broadcast companies & crooked politicians/judges who refuse to stand up to SMent.}}  One of the things I absolutely love about KPop is that it is so much fun to listen to & that it just makes me smile & makes me want to move.  But there are some songs that bring me to tears, especially after I hear the trials the group had to go through & I know where the song came from for them. It makes the song that much more poignant & moving & therefore more intimate for me the listener.  Once I learned the story behind JYJ & its formation & then heard the song Pierrot I realized that that song would always be an emotional listen for me.  Of course it's only a theory of mine, that Pierrot is about the whole JYJ/DBSK/SMEnt debacle.  It's sad that this happened, it's sad that 5 wonderful friends are no longer in complete sync with one another, as they once were, but it happened & getting angry with the fans of the opposite team is wrong & even sadder still.

It's okay to love both groups equally.  My only beef with K Pop/K Dramas are in fact some of its more fanatical fans.  You are all human beings, all human beings deserve respect, dignity & grace.  Stop fighting amongst yourselves & just support your difference of opinions.  Value each other's humanity for crying out loud.   I have always tried to be that person that tries to see things from every perspective.  I want to take the opportunity to see it from your viewpoint, so I can decide for myself, what is best for me.  There is always another point of view, another side to look at, & we have to remember it takes 2 to fight & it takes 2 to make it work.  If I had one wish it would be for ALL the fans to stop trying to run down each others idols & just cheer everyone on equally.  It's okay to have a bias & to support that bias to the very best of your ability.  I do.  But I remember that there are lots of incredibly talented artists in K Pop & K Dramas.  And each one has the right to his/her supporters too.  It's why I always have a hard time picking a favorite this or that.  I like them all.

{{*whispers but Kim Hyun Joong is my absolute
favorite, shhhh....I'm trying to keep it on the DL
*giggle* not very successfully I'm afraid.}}

Just recently a pin began surfacing on Pinterest that I found intriguing & some what rude...
Sulli of the girl Kpop group, f(x) & Choi Minho of the boy KPop group SHINee
who recently starred together, in the K Drama, "To the Beautiful You".

I will admit, I didn't know f(x) or its members that well, until I watched TTBY.  So by this fans remarks I was jumping on the bandwagon & following the crowd.  One of my fellow KPop loving friends responded in this manner to the pin itself on her Tumblr...

"Here is a prime example of one of the things I hate about the so-called “die hard” fans of any artist/actor/etc.  There are some who have been following a celeb since day one and have fallen in love with said person.  In love enough to follow their careers from the very beginning.  Whereas there are also those fans who are just now starting to follow that particular celebrity when he/she gets some recognition.  This is not “jumping on the bandwagon” after the fact thing.  This is the celeb getting new fans who may not have known about them prior to that “moment” that garnered them the recognition.  One fan is not better than the other.  We are all fans. PERIOD!!!"

I thought it very well put. Very succinct in summing up this part of the fan craze as well.  Some of us have only been into KPop & K Drama for a little while & are still learning whose who of all of it.  Dongsaeng just covered this in her birthday tribute to Donghae of SuJu fame.  She knew of SuJu & had even heard a few of their songs & seen a few of their MVs.  But it wasn't until she started watching the K Drama Panda & Hedgehog that she really noticed Lee Donghae.  And from that moment on she had another bias.  Kim Jaejoong, Lee Donghae & I know another one she will reveal on Monday.

{{Yes I peeked!  Whatcha gonna do about it?}}

Although I want it known I've loved him since day one.  Which simply means, she will have to stand in line behind me & about 20 billion other crazed fan-girls (& boys).

{{And no she hasn't fallen for my Hyun-y.
She knows that, that simply isn't allowed. ^_^}}

I guess I sum up this post by saying, "You people need to chill out!"  KPop/KDramas & their stars are here to entertain & provide people for us to crush on healthily.  Not to obsess over, stalk & even kill for. o.O  They're trying to bring joy to the masses, we're the "masses" btw, you & I are the "Masses".  Let them do their jobs.  Sit back, relax, & enjoy the incredibly yummy view as they; act, sing, croon, dance, grind, & thrust their way into our hearts & fantasies.  But remember to log off the Internet every once in a while & see the world around you, from time to time.  It might help you to remember the people in your life are far more important than whether or not a group you like is splitting up or whether or not your favorite actor is getting the recognition that they so richly deserve, in your opinion.  There are real problems in the world, that deserve more attention & concern than the behind the scenes drama found in the entertainment world.  And this includes every country's entertainment world, including mine.  I have never ever bought a rag magazine.  I do not read them online.  I ignore the TV rag shows as well.  No TMZ is played in my house, no Entertainment Tonight & I only watch E to see Joan Rivers rag on the fashion faux pas' of the week.  I seriously love her vicious streak. In real life I don't care which actor is sleeping with whom, or who is getting divorced or who is in rehab.  Quite frankly, it's none of my business.  As long as they continue to entertain me, which is their actual job, I don't want to know their personal details.  Anymore than I want to know that about my neighbors.  TMI peeps, T.M.I!

And just to prove my point that I like lots of different groups enough I looked it up & I am a; Henecia, a Boice, a VIP, a Blackjack, an ELF, an Airen, a Nastie, a B2UTY, a Baby, an Orion, an A+, SHAWOL, a Triple S, & A Kiss Me.  So there.  I'm probably a few more in there as well but I figure if I keep going on & on this post will never end. ^^

You all survived another serious post by Unnie.  Well those of you that didn't immediately close the page when you found out it would be serious.  Are you okay?  Do you need to lie down?  Should I quickly insert inappropriate humor here?   How about if I give you something beautiful to listen to instead?  And before I go, just a reminder that as of right now I have exactly.... 7 full days before I leave for AZ & my dongsaeng.  And 8 days till we are on our road trip to So Cal. and only 10 days till BIGBANG LIVE AT THE HONDA CENTER in Anaheim. I am so SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE excited!!  I CANNOT WAIT!!!  I am so looking forward to this trip.  It hit me today as I was trying to plan my family's menu for the next 2 weeks, so I could then write the grocery list.  I had to actually stop what I was doing & text my husband & ask him what he wanted to make the kids those 5 days I was going to be gone, so I could add those ingredients to the grocery list!  It hit me right then.  My 2 week menu includes 5 WHOLE DAYS where I don't have to cook....for anyone!!!  OH.  MY.  GOSH!!!!!  It sounds so incredibly heavenly to me.  I think 5 days off every 15 or 16 years sounds reasonable.  Don't you agree?

{{HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE....they may have
to take me to the funny farm I am so excited!}}

*Whew!  Okay, calm down Unnie.  Big Breath In....And Big Breath Out.  There I am much calmer & more rational now.*

Until next week AddiKts.

Saranghamnida,

Here are two beautifully performed MVs from DBSK when they were all together & in perfect sync.  Really truly moving Live Concert Performance MVs.  Enjoy AddiKts.  <3 Unnie.

{Monday Morning(ish) Therapy with Dongsaeng} KCON 2012!

Good morning AddicKts!  I hope you all had a fabulous week and weekend!  You probably already heard through the grapevine that I was on vacation this past week.  I missed being here with you all.  I tried to cover my tracks by getting my reviews done early before our 6 am Wednesday morning departure, but alas, only Faith 17 got covered.  I watched 18 and tried to get it reviewed, but just ran out of time, what with having to prepare for a 5 day vacation all by myself (husband working late) and all.  Then I planned on trying something new - dictating it on my phone while we were on the road using an app that will turn talk to type.  Yeah, that didn't work too well.  The best laid plans....  It was a great trip though.  We were traveling with another family that we're good friends with.  Total we had 4 adults and 5 kids and it was a blast.  We hit the beaches, Legoland and Knotts Berry Farm.  And then, at least for my purposes here, came the big day ---  KCon on Saturday and my very first ever KPop concert!!!  Yay!!!
'Cuz I am 'all things Asian cool' after all  o.O

Okay, so I have to tell you a little back story as to how this all came to be, because I at least think it's funny how it all worked out.  I had zero to do with the planning of this trip.  Zero.  It was the brainchild of my husband and his buddy Dustin.  We had over the past months talked ambiguously about going to California with them at some point, but the menfolk actually went and made it happen.  One day, as the plans were beginning to hatch and my husband was telling me the plans/dates they had discussed, the realization hit me - the dates lined up.  The stars aligned.  It was just meant to be.  KCon had recently been announced and I really wanted to go of course, but already knew that I had the Big Bang concert road trip with Unnie already planned and didn't want to be greedy and try for a second K-related trip.  We are a single income family after all and not fabulously wealthy and able to jet set around the world or even to the next state over on a whim.  But, as fate would have it, our plans just so happened to put us in the same city on the same day as KCon.  How could I not go?  Except that being the stereotypical martyr mom, I still hemmed and hawed at the idea.  I didn't want to spend the money.  I didn't want to be rude to our friends and disappear for the day.  Yadda yadda.  You moms out there probably are familiar with the tune and have hummed it a bit yourselves from time to time.  I'm convinced it's a mom thing.  For you non-moms out there, you'll just have to take my word for it.  We are, as a breed, generally speaking, pathological martyrs.  Anywhoodlenoodlepoodle (totally channeling Martina right now), my poor husband had heard enough of my "should I/shouldn't I" and went and bought me the tickets.  Aww.... See?  That's why he's my number one bias (sorry Jaejoong, Lee Min Ho, Donghae, Hyun Bin, Lee Seung Gi, etc...we'll just have to be friends as my heart belongs to my very own personal star lovingly referred to as The Husband).  *cue the sappy love awws*

We had a fab few days of family and friend fun time.  But I'll save those details for my personal blog.  You're not here to read about how my 9 year old ran wild around both parks with his pack or how my 11 year old literally had to be dragged onto rides.  You don't care to hear how my poor husband's tendency to motion sickness left him popping Dramamine and skipping meals or how our friend narrowly avoided stepping on a sting ray.  Or how I "came out" to The Husband's extended family about my K addicKtion and how now they all think I'm cuckoo in the clock.  Oh well, go big or go home, right?  Might as well own up to my zany ways.  By the next time I see them I'll either be rich and famous (haha) and they'll be saying "I knew her when" or I won't be and they'll have forgotten anyway.  See, I can't lose - why hide in the shadows anymore?  ;)

So that's how I came to find myself there that day.  Now to tell you a little bit about what it was like.  It's difficult to describe.  It's even difficult to tell you how I felt about and through the whole experience.  There were ups and downs.  I started out a little grumpy because we got there earlier than I wanted to.  My family was chomping at the bit to get to the beach for a day of play and we had to be dropped off first.  Sounds kind of crazy, right?  Why wouldn't I want to get there and spend as much time as possible?  Well, for starters it was an outdoor event and I am a redhead and it was a sunny day.  And our SPF was on its way to the beach.  Plus I was in full "mom mode" still because I was there with my daughter and not a bunch of fellow raving K-fans.  Yes, my daughter likes Kpop and Eat Your Kimchi quite a bit, but she's still 11.  A lot of what was going on didn't interest her and quite frankly, didn't interest me.  I'm a 30-something mom, not a teenaged crazed fan girl.  I was in the minority on every level.  Off and on through the day I found myself resenting the fact that I was stuck there and not off having a fun day at the beach with my family and friends.  But then there were those moments that made it all worthwhile.  Those are the moments I will choose to focus on.

There were multiple tents set up and each tent had different things going on all day.  We found ourselves at one tent about an hour before Simon and Martina of Eat Your Kimchi were set to appear in a panel.  By this point we had already wandered aimlessly around getting familiarized with the scene and getting caught up in swarms (more on swarms later).  I was hot.  I was tired.  My feet were achy.  My daughter, Little Popper 1, was getting restless.  We got to the tent a few minutes before the first current panel (Making a Hit - Songwriters) was set to end.  I saw my opportunity.  We waited for the current panel to end and for some seats to open up and then we swooped in and sat down.  Ahh!  A chair!  Shade!  Swarm-free!  And as an added bonus, awesome seats all ready for Simon and Martina's appearance!  Woohoo!  It did mean that I missed the one panel I was most interested in seeing from a professional standpoint that day, "Inside Look at K-Dramas", but oh well.  Chair, shade and EYK won out in the end.  Good thing too, as my original plan to go to the K-Drama panel and then the "YouTube Idols Up Close and Personal" again with EYK wouldn't have worked out.  We tried to get to the second EYK panel after the first and it was so packed we would have totally missed them if we didn't go to the first one and that would have ruined the whole day.  EYK was what put me on to the "I really wanna go" side of the KCon fence after all.

So there we were - great seats and ready for the panel entitled "Rise of Foreign Influence in K-Pop".  Simon and Martina made their grand entrance and were greeted by screaming fans.  It was funny - about 10 minutes before they took the stage, we saw them coming, surrounded by security and being followed by their own swarm.

***Interruption time***  Probably time to define what I mean by "swarm", huh?  I can't keep using it without describing the phenomenon.  It really was interesting to see from a people-watching perspective (which is something I tend to do a lot of).  You can probably already imagine sort of what it must have been like.  But you really can't appreciate it without actually experiencing it.  Now, I've not found myself in a real life fangirl position before - where actual fangirl/fanboying is going on.  Especially not Asian fangirl/boying.  I've heard people talk about how in Asian culture, the concept of "personal space" differs from our American idea of it.  I understand that a little better now.  Anytime a group or artist would show up for pictures or fan signings, or even when a staff member would show up with vouchers for fan signings (you had to have a voucher in order to be able to line up for the fan signings) or anytime something of fangirl/boy import happened, there would be a swarm.  A completely solid mass of screaming bodies rushing one way or another.  No one outside of the swarm ever really knew what the swarm was for.  And if you weren't careful, you'd find yourself falling victim to this wall of swarming humanity rushing at you.  For example, LP1 and I had paused near a post for a moment to check the map and get our bearings and figure out what we wanted to do, when all of the sudden we found ourselves literally getting shoved and pushed around by a swarm.  One second we were free and clear, the next we were getting bowled over by screaming, shrieking bodies.  It was...wow.  A new experience.  After falling prey to the swarms a couple of times, you can maybe see why a chair in a tent for an hour was sounding especially nice.  I am so old, yes, I know.  At least I wasn't yelling at them to turn the music down (though there was one point I thought about it as I thought my eardrums were going to explode and my whole body was vibrating from the music -but that story is later).

Okay, sorry about that interruption.  Where was I?  Ah, yes.  The first spotting of Simon and Martina.  They walked by the side of the tent, surrounded by security and being followed by their very own personal swarm.  Someday I want a swarm of my own.  Or not.  They kind of scared me.  But I guess if I had security ushering me around it would be kind of cool.  Simon was easy to spot - he really is tall and with the red mohawk - hard to miss.  Martina was harder to see as she was shorter and under an umbrella and blocked from view by security/staff members.  But boy, did we scream our little fangirl/boy hearts out when we first spied them!  It was an awesome moment!  I tried to capture it on video.  I'll just give a blanket statement now - I apologize for my sub-par videoing.  I was using just my phone and was trying to conserve battery and storage space because I knew I would be there for many hours and would have lots to try and capture.  So my clips are short and shaky and not very good.  :(  But they're something and something is better than nothing, right?  *Turning on the aegyo shoulder shrug and cheesy grin with batting eyelids right about now*

The panel was awesome.  Some very interesting things were said about foreign influence in K-Pop.  There were other people on the panel besides Simon and Martina, though it was easy to see that they were the big headliners of the event.  I felt kind of bad for the other people as they were totally dwarfed Eat Your Kimchi-style. ;)  But in case anyone is curious or knows who the other panelists may be, I'll include them here and if you want more stories about them specifically later I can fill you in to the best of my abilities.  The panel consisted of: Ashley Choi, David Lehre/"Chad Future", EYK, Jeff Benjamin, with Susan of Soompi moderating.  The highlight of the panel though, for me at least, was a special guest appearance.  So, I'm sitting there and this guy sits down in front of me.  He was hard to miss.  He was a big dude, with long dreadlocks and a very strong presence about him.  My initial thought when I first saw him was that he reminded me of Bruce "Automatic" Vanderveer.  I had read this article on allkpop.com a while back and had seen his picture.  But I quickly brushed the thought aside as foolish.  I mean, why would Automatic be there just sitting in the audience, entourage-free?  Then came the Q&A session.  It was all fine and good.  Then the staff member running the event there in the tent announced that the last two people would be the final questions.  That's when it was this guy's turn.  He stands up there and announces who he was and the place erupted with squeals and cheers - even from the panel members!  And I just about fell over in my seat!  See, a few days before I had had a very excited phone call from Unnie while I was chillin' at Legoland.  She had called me up with the exciting-for-us news that Bruce had retweeted her tweet on her Wednesday Write Up about the whole Junsu/JYJ snub.  We were so thrilled to think that the Bruce Vanderveer had seen and retweeted our humble little tweet.  And here he was - right in front of me and I didn't realize it until it was too late.  Argh!  Fangirl/budding blogger fail!  It was still an awesome experience and I was so glad that I was there.  I got my own video of portions, but I'll also share this other video that is not mine too as they managed to get the whole thing and I was late to the party with my camera.  You can totally see LP1 and myself in the audience.  I thought that was cool to see myself on a YouTube video that I found on a JYJ Facebook fan page while driving home from California.

Not mine:

It was a very interesting panel with some very interesting and exciting things said.  I left there just even more in love with KPop and the direction that it is headed.  I felt a part of something special.  Without waxing too philosophical here because there's still a lot of day to cover and this post is already freakishly long, KPop is just so much about community and feeling a part of that something special.  It's not so underground that no one has heard it, yet, as Martina pointed out, it is underground enough that you're not going to hear it played on the radio (well, except for Gangnam Style) and I agree that that's how it should stay.  Do I want to share the KPop love with the uninitiated?  Sure.  Obviously.  I try.  I fail miserably, but I still try.  I want to add people to the community (uhm, I am a blogger about this stuff after all), but I definitely don't want to see it become mainstream.  It's something so unique and this force that you have to experience in order to "get".  Maybe it doesn't speak to everyone like it speaks to us.  I don't know.  I can only speak for myself and for me, KPop has spoken to me like no music has ever done before.  Why?  I don't know.  Can anyone explain that?  The panel tried.  And they had very good and valid points that made a whole lot of sense - KPop is the product of a lot of hard, hard work and drive for perfection.  The artists don't enter the field dreaming of an easy, cush life filled with swag and adoring fans.  They know ahead of time that they are going to work like they have never worked before - long, grueling hours, intense schedules and seemingly impossible demands placed on them.  It's not an easy life, but they are dedicated to it 110%.  And the end result?  Magic.  At least in this humble blogger's opinion.  Again, obviously I'm a fan and just a tad biased, but there has to be some reason why even I, an average, non-Asian, suburban housewife, was smitten by this KPop insanity after 30-some odd years on this planet and countless other opportunities to be snagged by a genre.

Phew.  For trying to not wax philosophical, this place is getting mighty slippery.  Better get back to the task at hand.  Kids will be home from school soon and I am quickly running out of time.  I sure do like to hear the sound of my own clacking keyboard, don't I?

That was our first panel of the day.  After it ended, we hurried over to the next one that Simon and Martina were to speak at, but like I mentioned, by the time we got to it, it was already packed solid and we could barely see.

Well, I could barely see, LP1 couldn't see anything.  We gave it the ol' college try, but after about 15 minutes of standing and baking in the hot, hot sun and pressed up against so many other bodies, we gave up and went to grab some lunch.

I was a happy, happy girl when I spotted the row of food trucks on our way in.  One in particular.  For some time now I have been dying to try the infamous Kogi Korean taco.  Guess what though...I don't live in CA and we don't have Kogi Korean taco truck here in AZ.  (Hey Kogi - how about it?  A little Phoenician action sound good?)  I had myself some yummy short rib and spicy pork tacos.  Yumm!

The next 2-3 hours we wandered aimlessly.  The tent events were over.  We spent some time at one of the stages where they had various people performing all day.  We saw the end of Shin B's performance.  And a dance troupe from UC Irvine that rocked it.  We also saw Chad Future.  We were up close to the stage and right under the speakers.  LP1 was loving it!  I couldn't get her to move back (I had re-entered 'mom mode' and was concerned for the health of my poor child's ears).  We hung out there for an hour-ish or whatever it ended up being.  I'll have to talk about this more later I think because it's an interesting concept, but I learned of Chad Future for the first time that day, and I must say, I really enjoyed his performance.  For those, like me, unfamiliar with who he is, he's a white guy trying to break in to KPop and has started (or at least is heavily involved in a new movement - forgive my ignorance if I got that wrong) called American KPop, or 'A KPop'.  Again, I'll have to explore this more in greater detail in a future post, but it was intriguing and I think worth chatting about to see where everyone falls on the A-KPop spectrum.

The rest of the remaining time we parked ourselves on a patch of grass.  I people watched as LP1 played her Nintendo.  About this point in the day I was thinking that this whole event was like Korean Woodstock, only minus the drugs and free love.  There were just people everywhere, all camped out in their groups.  Maybe I missed my calling in life as a sociologist because I found is fascinating to watch.

Then, finally, after a very long day, it was time to enter the amphitheater for the concert.  Yay!!!  We got our official KCon lightsticks, stood in the crazy line of people filing in, found our seats (didn't take too long as we were pretty much all the way in the back) and settled in.  This wasn't only my first KPop concert but really was my first concert concert.  I did see the band Live ages ago at the state fair, but that was not a ticketed event and so I'm not going to count it fully.  It gets like half a point at most.  It was starting to get dark, the light sticks were coming on and it was magical.  And then the concert started.  SQUEEEE!!!   After a couple of smaller opening acts, B.A.P. took the stage!  They were who I was most excited to see and I found myself getting a lot more emotional than I thought I would.  I mean, I like BAP, but didn't realize how much until I was standing there, waving my lightstick and singing along to No Mercy with 9000 or so other screaming and singing fans.  It was...awesome.  Daebak.  Chincha daebak.  BAP did No Mercy and Crash. Sad they didn't do Warrior or Power, but they were great.

Here's a small sample.  Most of my videos didn't turn out because I was either holding the camera the wrong way (sorry, new-to-me phone), bouncing it up and down in time to the music, or horribly singing/screaming along, or all of the above.  This will give you a tiny taste of what it looked like from where we were though.

Mine:

G.Na was next.  Or was it Vixx?  I don't remember the exact order.  Sorry.  Then Nu'est.  And then EXO-M.  They earned the loudest and most enthusiastic cheers of the night.  After each group/artist performed, they would do a small little greeting and chat.  We were asked multiple times throughout the event how we were doing.  And we were told often to make some noise.  EXO's after chat was the best.  They had a little video with various random people from throughout the day asking different questions of EXO.  The first was a girl who asked the leader, Kris, to do a little aegyo.  Kris instead volunteered up Tao, who did a cute little "buing buing".  Another member (I don't remember - I'll find a video clip hopefully so you can see for yourself) did it, and then finally, with a lot of encouragement from the audience, Kris did a half-hearted "buing".  It was hilarious!  Since we were up in the nosebleeds and had thousands upon thousands of screaming fans between us and the stage, I missed a lot of what was being said.  The music we heard fine, but all the speaking was hard to hear and understand.  I know that it was being broadcast on Mnet, so I'm hoping I can find video and see what I was supposed to have seen there that night.  ;)

Ah!  Here's a clip.

Again, not mine:

But wow!  What an experience!  LP1 was totally in to it - standing and waving her lightstick with the rest of us crazed fans.  Once EXO finished, people started to leave.  I then started to leave before realizing that there was one more group still to go - 4Minute.  I tried to turn around LP1, but she had to go to the bathroom.  By this time it was after 10pm and our ride had been sitting there already for half and hour waiting for us, so we took off, enjoying 4Minute as we walked the long walk out.  It was crazy how loud that amphitheater was.  We really could hear everything even from far away in the parking lot.  And we avoided the crowds on the way out which was awesome.  I am still a 30-something mom that had to drive with her family to a hotel in another city and wake up early the next morning for a family event with The Husband's extended family.  I hope 4Minute can forgive me - it was nothing personal.  Just like theme parks and thrill rides - concerts are different when you tack on a decade or so to your age, LOL.  But there it is... my day at KCon and my very first KPop concert experience!  Would I do it again?  Yes, but only with a group of fellow fans.  Did it get me even more excited and jazzed for Big Bang on Nov 3rd?  Heck yeah!  I CAN NOT wait!!!!  If I was almost in tears over BAP, I can only imagine what I will be like with my favorite 5!  Not to mention that I won't be in "mom mode" and can fully let go and fangirl like no one is watching.  ;)  Unnie won't mind, will you Unnie?  She'll be right there with me.  We'll just be crying and holding each other and acting like complete idiots and it will be magical and amazing and the experience of a lifetime.

Alrighty, so it is now after 2:30pm for me.  Kids are home from school (I kind of lost track of time and almost forgot to pick them up - yikes!  Better turn back on my 'pick up the kids now' alarm on my phone, huh?).  I have been working on this literally all day.  There's just so much to share!  It was a full day filled with lots of memorable experiences.  While they really stink, I may decide later to load some more videos on to my youtube page.  Maybe.  I don't know.  They're really not worth it, but I feel bad leaving you with only one personally taken video of the concert.  Okay, maybe I don't feel that bad as they really didn't turn out well.  I tried.  I really tried to focus on capturing every moment of the day in order to share with you.  Next time I'll work on my videorecording-at-a-concert skills first, k?  Like which direction to hold it and keeping it still and all.  You know, important little details like that haha.  This is why I blog and am not a camerawoman.  People ask us why we don't post videos of our own creation.  Maybe this will stand as a great example why not.  ;)

If you're still reading this long post...wow!  Thanks!  I hope that the remainder of your Monday is fantastic.  I am excited to catch up on dramas I missed while wifi-less and see the new episodes still to come this week.  I'll also get cracking on that Faith review.  My plan was to crank it out today, but seeing as how this one took a lot longer than planned, I don't see that happening after all.  So sorry.  It will come...eventually.  It really was a great episode and deserves a semi-decent review not whatever would spew out of what's left of my already travel-weary and emptied brain.  Thank you for your support and love!  Saranghae!

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: Musings & VoKabulary Lessons

YES MY WWU is going LIVE earlier than normal.  Almost a whole day earlier!!  You'll find out why soon...

This is going to be a short WWU this week AddiKts.  So many interesting things are happening around this here blog, don't you think?  Oh wait!!  You haven't heard yet.  I forgot!!  THAT post will go LIVE in a few more hours.  {{How's that for foreshadowing eh?}}

"You'll just have to waaaiiit."  >:)
{{said in my best singsong voice}}

Hmmm...what shall I talk about today?  Oooh!!  I know how about the fact that both Dongsaeng & myself each decided to open up new Facebook Profiles, so that you guys could "Friend" us if you wanted to?
{{We didn't do this  just because we want more friends btw.  Chincha!!}}  I had noticed that I had been getting quite a few friend requests from people I didn't actually know but no one was telling me how they knew me.  This made me somewhat nervous.  If I don't know you or know that you are an AddiKt like me, then why would I accept your friend request?  You could be nuts!  And that is saying something coming from a person like me. ;)

Plus, I noticed, I had a quite a few unknown persons as 'subscribers' to my FB posts, which totally cracked me up.  The mere fact that I, boring uninteresting me, mother of 4, had subscriber's to my boring FB posts?!  Who really wanted to know that my son was throwing up over Memorial Day weekend??  Exciting stuff that is, right?  {{lol}}  So I thought, IF you are an addiKted reader of this most Awesome Blog & you want to follow my posts on FB, or if you want to send another Friend Request, you can do it here.  {Dongsaeng's new profile is here.}That way I can see who is "trolling" & who is fascinated by my effervescent self. {^-^}  Friend Request Away AddiKts!  But please remember to tell me that you are a TCA reader, so I know you aren't a weirdo or a stalker.   ;)  That's totally my job!

So there's that.  Hmmm...let's see.  Ooh who else is excited that 2NE1 is about to come out with a new album?  I am so excited about this.  And the teaser posters & MV teaser trailers sound really good.  I say "sound" because they are still pics of each 2NE1 member alone & just a clip of their section of the new song.

Here I'll show you...

Teaser Poster for 2NE1:
Does NOT belong to us...Thank you YG family FB page.

Dara's Teaaser:

This also is NOT property of TCA but of YG FB page.

They're also embarking on their first world tour & will be in LA later this summer.  Very cool.  I just wish I could afford to see both Big Bang AND 2NE1, Live in concert, in the same year.  Anybody want to fly me out & put me up for the 2NE1 concert in LA?  I promise to come w/ lots of luggage & be a total nuisance while staying in your house.  You know I can clog your toilet, leave dirty dishes everywhere & rent a bunch of movies on your PS3 or cable provider?!?!  Anybody?  WHAT?!?!  NO takers on that offer at all?!?!  Sigh.  Guess it isn't meant to be then.  {{sad face}}  It's so hard being both a BlackJack AND a VIP!!  (those are the names of the followers of 2NE1 & BigBang for the newbies)

I was quite surprised that CA agreed to the Big Bang concert to begin with.  So, I didn't dare ask if I could fly across country twice in one year for 2 K-Pop concerts!!  But I think he feels sorry for me.  I haven't been home to see my family/friends in AZ in 2 1/2 years & I haven't had a vacation by myself in over 15 years.  The last time was before I had kids.  Everywhere I've gone, they've gone.  I think my poor pathetic sad face finally softened his heart.  What does seeing family & friends in AZ have to do w/ BB?  I'll be flying to AZ, where I will visit & have fun & then Dongsaeng & I are road tripping it to Cali.  Squuuuuueeeee!!!!  So super excited.  Now if only...

 YG would RELEASE THE ROTTEN STINKIN' PRICES & RELEASE DATES, FOR THE ROTTEN STINKIN' TICKETS. SO WE CAN GET OUR GAME FACE ON & MAKE OUR FINAL PLANS, FOR OUR ROTTEN STINKIN' "HAVEN'T BEEN ON VACATION BY MYSELF IN 15 YEARS ROAD TRIP OF FUN FUN FUN!!!!" I'D FEEL A LOT BETTER!!!!

YG Why you playin' me like this?!?!

{{Bienhaeyo, YG, I didn't mean to yell at you like that.  For loosing my cool?  Jongmal Bienhaeyo.}}

Sigh.  Now that I'm perfectly cool & rational again...

Oh that's right!  I was going to help our newbies out with a little voKab lesson in this post.

Hmmm...

So some of the more common phrases they may hear & not understand...

Ahjussi = same as Ahjumma but for a man.

In this post I already covered: Oppa, Noona, Unnie, Dongsaeng, Hyung...

And last but not least...

Daebak! = Awesome, Big Hit, it's said when something surprising happens or is said.  Although, I have also heard it used like our own "Awesome" is sometimes used, in a sarcastic not friendly way.  And it's pronounced, "Day-Bok"

That covers today's lesson.  These are the most common phrases you'll hear, especially in our fabulous KDramas.

Oh & and one more exciting thing, for me, is that they have announced the female lead in Kim Hyun Joong's new KDrama, which starts filming July 10th!!!  SQUUEEEEEEE!!!!

His new female lead will be.....
None other than Jung Yumi, who we last saw as the EVIL Se Na in Rooftop Prince.  How awesome!!  I cannot wait to see how she does as the innocent girl next door this time.  If she is anywhere as good as she was in RTP she'll be spectacular!!  Chukae Jung Yumi!!  Hwaiting!!

And in that same vein here is a City Conquest poster...
Isn't my Hyun-y yummy looking?!?!
SQUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
I CANNOT wait for this drama to start!!

AND just because this here is MY post, I am going to throw in another picture of Kim Hyun Joong.

Why?!?!

Duh!!  Why Not?!?!  Plus, it's my post & I'm one of the main creators, so I can do almost anything I want to & you guys will just have to deal with that!

{{Yeah, like looking at pictures of Kim Hyun Joong is so terrible, right?!?!}}

Can't you just hear him asking, "Do you Like That"?
{{That's a pun because of his song called, "Do you like that" from his "Lucky" Album.  Get it?  Oh whatever!! He's hott!!!}}

{{Giggle}}

BTW, I SO DO LIKE THAT!!
{{rowr!!}}

There you go AddiKts.  That pretty much covers my WWU for this week.  Check back for our big GIVEAWAY Post Announcement, w rules as to how you can get, whatever the heck it is we're giving away.  I wanted it to be really cool, you know like, an old used bike, that has flat tires. But "NOOOO!!!"  Dongsaeng was adamant, it had to be something you'd actually want.  Whatever!

I think today I will leave you with an incredibly cute moment of JYJ on stage.

Chincha!! I LOVED this when I found it on the JYJ Official FB pg this morning.

"Puing, Puing!!"  So incredibly cute!!

Sigh!!  These incredibly sexy men just melted my heart.
