Orange Marmalade Ep 12 Finale - Music Conquers All

Here we are at the finale people!  And while we don't get any huge plot surprises, we do get a sincere conclusion on the characters' story.  Which, considering how often kdramas can fall flat on the last episode, is all we can really ask for. 

Orange Marmalade Episode 11 - To Accept, or Not to Accept, That is the Question

Events continue to unfold as Jae Min and Ma Ri become closer (kinda sorta) and a new ship prepares to set sail (sadly, not the bromance ship yet).  So come join me as we chat prejudice, music, and how hot Shi Hoo is (don't look at me that way... it has to be mentioned at least twice a recap).

Orange Marmalade Episode 10 - A Girl, A Boy, & A Tree Stump

I have to admit that I am a tad shocked that I am saying this, but I am actually enjoying the story.  The last Sageuk episode and the transition into the modern storyline was so well done that I am totally on the Orange Marmalade train again.  Kudos to the writers for making the impossible a reality.

Orange Marmalade Episode 9 - The Vamp Cat is Out of the Bag...and Other Tied Up Plot Arcs

It is the end of our Sageuk detour and the writers finally manage to hook my interest.  Episode 9 managed to make all the characters plot lines come together in a perfect mix to set the stage for our return to modern days.  It is amazing what a great narrative you can create when you step away from the bromantic & romantic angsty mooning that filled the first 4 historical episodes.  

Orange Marmalade Episode 7 and 8 - Sageuk Mashup

Those of you who have been following my recaps know that I have had a hard time getting through the historical episodes.  However, I don't want to quit the recaps so in order to catch up, I am going to create a recap combining episodes 7 and 8 so I will be all ready for the return to the present.

Orange Marmalade Episode 6 - Bored Bored Bored.

So, what to say about episode 6?  Sadly, I must confess that I am starting to get a little bored with the past.  However, things still happened, so I will quickly recount the events and hope that things pick up in episode 7 for me.  So without further ado, here are my thoughts on ep 6.

Orange Marmalade Episode 5 - Hanbok and Vampires

Soooooooooooo.........  Who else was surprised when our story suddenly took a historical turn?  I guess the writers are getting all creative and telling 3 different stories, each 4 episodes apiece.  Not sure how I feel about that yet, but on an up note, they are keeping all the names the same, and best of all Shi Hoo is alive.  WOOT!

Orange Marmalade Episode 4 - What the Fudge?

So........  This episode happened.  I will be honest, I am not one who feels that the original work that a story is based on (in this case a webtoon) has to be followed 100%, but somewhere in the same ballpark would be nice.  Things are speeding by so fast plot wise, that I am getting whiplash. And really if you were only going to have the very bare minimum of the story in your drama anyway, why bother even relating the two?  I am feeling a tad bit cheated right now.  A perfectly pleasant vampire teenage musical romance has been turned into a mesh of rioting concepts.

Orange Marmalade Episode 3 - What's The Sudden Rush?

It's time to get down to the nitty gritty of discussing the actual plot and character movement of this drama.  With less sexy skinship time, it is definitely easier to focus and dissect what I like, and what I think could have used some tweaking. So come with me as I chat the good and the bad of episode 3 - with tons of screen caps of Shi Hoo and Jae Min of course.  We are not going totally crazy just focusing on things like plot and character development.  The Khotties need their time to shine.

Orange Marmalade Episode 2 - So Right in All the Wrong Ways

Remember the days when you watched a high school kdrama and the extent of the skinship was a wrist grab or maybe an open eyed fish kiss?  Well, this is not that type of drama.  It is shockingly mature in its mix of innocent sexuality, which is equally titillating & slightly uncomfortable when you consider the age of some of the actors.

Kmuse here, back to recapping with a vengeance.  Not only will I be doing a co-cap with Dongsaeng on "Producer", but will also be bringing you my weekly thoughts and observations with this wonderful teen angst vampire drama "Orange Marmalade".  And there is a good chance that I will be adding recaps for "Mask" to the pile as well.  What?  Am I supposed to just ignore great drama and my need to share it, simply because I need to occasionally sleep?  Let's just say that if I suddenly start typing in all single syllable words, you will know that I have been taken down by over blogging.  Although the phrase "He is hawt" really can describe so much.

Falling in Love With Orange Marmalade : Trailer 2 Review

I will admit that I am completely in love with this webtoon.  It was one of those addictions where you start reading casually, and hours later, your eyes are glazed after reading from your tiny phone screen.  The eye strain was totally worth it though as I finished a truly well written and deep story about two high school students in a relationship.  One of those kids just happens to be a vampire which adds some complication to things.
