Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: What would YOU do if your Bias came to town?

Once upon a time a LONG LONG LONG time ago. Seriously, like really long ago, you know the same time the wheel was invented, I was a teenage girl.  See?  A REALLY long time ago.  Shut up I was too a teenage girl...once.  No!  I wasn't ALWAYS an ahjumma, it was less than 20 years ago for crying out loud!!  Now... shhh!

Oh that's right!  {{Sigh... Swiss Cheese Brain Strikes Again!}}  Ugh!

Okay so, onceuponatime...  I was a teenage girl.  19 years old & I was already engaged & had plans for the evening w my CA & some friends.  But one of my bestest friends, that I am still bestest friends with today, called me at work to tell me breaking news!  My crush du jour was in our town, Phoenix, AZ.  I won't say who it was; as he has aged he's gone insane, & thinks he has tiger blood running through his veins now, & quite frankly I'm embarrassed to admit I crushed on him.  He was there to donate some item of clothing he wore, in some movie he was in, to the newly opened Planet Hollywood, a restaurant owned by famous people, to show off their crap from movies.  Anyway, my bestie had seen this in the newspaper & she said we should go & see him!  And I was over the moon at the idea.  I asked CA if it would be okay, if I blew off our double date to go drool over another guy, & as usual he was fine with it.  What a guy, eh?  So we went.  We saw.  We got autographs & pictures & we rocked.  Of course that star was probably wasted & we all looked the same to him but who cares!  We lived out every teenage girl's fantasy that night & I still have the pictures to prove it....somewhere. o.O   I think?

Why am I telling you this?  It has a purpose I promise.  Recently a friend & reader from Hawaii went on her own quasi-quest to search out her own bias.  As you may know Super Junior has been visiting & playing in Hawaii this last week.  And her favorite of the group is Donghae.  BTW my friend is my age; with kids in tow she took them to the same beach the SuJu boys had been spotted previously...to no avail.  She had fun w her kids & went home.  A day or so later her friend, who worked at the hotel SuJu stayed in, called her & excitedly whispered into the phone as she left my friend a message, "Pick up your phone! I think one of your Kpop guys just asked me a question and he came from the pool so he didn't have a shirt on. He looked good, girl...whoever he is.."

Of course we all, meaning the group of us she was telling this story to,  freaked out that she had SuJu in her midst & yet did not immediately start the stalking process.  We went totally krazed fan girl on her. Poor thing, never saw us coming.  *SMH*  Eventually she did make her way over to the hotel & looked around.  But she said that while some fan girls lucked out & got a glimpse or picture/autograph, a lot more got nothing.  Herself included.

In her own words, I'm not a 19 year old girl on summer break. I don't have the time or the willingness to camp out at a hotel to see them. Does it make me less of a fan? Probably but I was relieved to find that as I hoped...my Kobsession is just a part of who I am.  In all my excitement, I never forgot I am a wife & mother."  

Which made me respect her so much more.  Then she asked me a question...  I paraphrase.... "What would you do Jess if it happened to you?  Would you be able to just drop everything to stalk?"  And the truth is no, I probably wouldn't.  I have 4 kids of my own, one of whom has special needs.  So, without any notice or help set up first, then no, I would not be able to just drop everything & go stalk my bias.  BUT it would be really really really tempting to just drop & everything & run like a lunatic towards the bias.  Seriously tempting & I'd probably be all sad face & disappointed, not in front of my kids, but when they weren't looking.  Yes, even if it was Kim Hyun Joong himself!!  Of course, first I'd be wondering what the crap he was doing in Nowhere Wisconsin?!?!  O.O   But as much as I adore him, I remember I too, am a wife & mom first & foremost. See, I can be responsible too.   Besides, do I really want to meet my bias in real life?  I just don't know, simply because I think I would be embarrassed he'd think I am a complete whackadoo or worse an old lady! ^^  This is why I think it would just be common courtesy of our oppas & biases if they could just text us first you know something like, "Hey krazed stalker fan, I will be at dot dot dot on dot dot dot...clear your schedule I'm ready to be followed by nutjobs & whackadoos."  Is that really too much to ask?!?!?  I think not!  O.O

I had another friend this week ask how would I react if my bias saw one of my tweets or comments & I KNEW he had seen it?  I have to admit to not being able to answer her question satisfactorily.  I talk a big game, claim KHJ as MINE on this here blog, mostly because I am safe in the knowledge he will NEVER know!  LOL  I picked a bias that doesn't even like smart phones, & never uses his twitter account to post cute selca's of himself.  Which makes me sad as it brings me joy for my anonymity.  LOL  So I'm pretty sure he will never know I existed.  Now I have tweeted a few K Idols over the last year BUT they are so popular I am sure they never get to see my cheers & congrats & happy bday wishes, as they very obviously get lost in the huge crowd of well wishers & fellow addiKts.  Which is probably the only reason I feel safe tweeting them.  I do recognize I am older than they are & I'm married & have kids.  So I guess I can say the same thing.  This AddiKtion is a part of who I am, but it isn't the whole me.  I am a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, Sunday School teacher, avid book reader, movie watching, beach going, photography fan, who loves music & dancing & singing all the time!  Who has a great sense of humor & hopefully not a skewed look at life.  Not everything in my life revolves around stalking a bias.  It just seems that way on here.  I'm totally normal in real life.  Honest!  ^_^   {{Shut up Dongsaeng I am too totally normal!  Shaw!!  Like you're one to talk!}}

Does this mean I don't fantasize that one day, my bias just happens to see something I wrote or tweeted etc... follows it to my profile, sees a pic of me, becomes enamored & has to know more about me; therefore searches & reads through everything & falls head over heels for me & then seeks me out & says, "Run away with me, I'm in love with you?"  Oh heck no! That fantasy is alive & kicking!  Giggle.  What? I'm human & I'm a girl AND I'm a hopeless romantic at heart!  Who wouldn't want to be swept off their feet by the man of their dreams?  What exactly happens to my husband & kids?  I never think that part out. LOL  But according to the rules of the "5" my husband has to let it happen, he's in my list then it's okay!  hehehehe...

But what about you guys?  Would you drop everything in your life to chase after that chance for the elusive oppa spotting or autograph opportunity?  Would you don a pair of sunglasses, a head scarf & an overcoat & go in search of your bias, should he arrive in town or would you walk right up to him & demand pictures, autographs & hugs?  Would you purposely seek him or them out?  I don't think I could or would.  IF I happened by an area they were visiting as well, & IF I thought they wouldn't mind then maybe.  But having grown up in So Cal I learned early on, celebrities are just regular people w awesome jobs.  If they aren't On at the moment I spot them, then I'd probably just giggle, stare a little without being too obvious & then.....leave them alone & go about my daily life.  Unless I were at a signing event or a concert or something where they were supposed to be On, On camera, On stage, I'd let them just be themselves.  Does this make me old?  Boring?  Not fun?  A party pooper?  Maybe but I'm okay with that.

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: {{Fan Girling All Over the Place!}}

I don't have a lot of time AddiKts.  My parents are in town, 4th of July was yesterday, my youngest's 7th birthday is today, & I'm trying to help my teen get packed for 2.5 weeks of sleep away camp in Northern WI, which he leaves for tomorrow morning, at the crack of dawn.  It's been just a tad bit busy in this house this week.  Okay it usually is pretty busy but this week is on steroids!  So Just 2 things of great importance that I am squeeing about & have to freak out & let my fan girl go Krazy for & no other place, I can think of, I can go, & have a little KPop happy dance, is better than this here K everything blog.  ;)

Now unless you were in a cave somewhere, incapacitated by a coma, or off planet, then you know that Junsu's latest single, off his latest album, finally dropped in iTunes around the world.  Along w the most amazing MV!!  If not then let me tell you all about it & listen to me while I go totally fan girl insane!  No really.  Ask my kids.  You guys know I heart The Junsu.  Like seriously, I heart him as one of my favoritest of the favorites!  He has the most divine voice & he is so cute, funny, talented, incredibly sexy.  There is KHJ, Bae Young Joon, Junsu, Kang Ji Hwan & then GD.  My TOP 5 crushes.

So I watched his MV first thing Tuesday morning, still laying in bed dazed & trying to wake up fully while I  watched the MV.  Which of course, since I was still waking up meant that I HAD to watch it only about  5000 times in a row {{& somewhere in there purchase the single off  iTunes}}.  It's still being played repeatedly over my iPod.  Oh Junsu your voice is ah-mazing!  The MV starts off the 1st half in total a Capella.  Just the purity of Junsu's beautiful voice.  Then the piano comes in very softly & at the same time the filters on the MV change very subtly.  It was mesmerizing.  Perfectly suited to the song & the feelings they were going for.  Now Dongsaeng postulated that it would be awesome if the person playing the piano were none other than, JYJ group member Jaejoong, her idol.  I thought that would be perfect too.  So fingers crossed it is JJ.

Now the most amazing part of this video is two fold; one Junsu is singing completely LIVE w just nature sounds in the back ground & two the MV was done in ONE single shot/take.  No fancy editing.  just Junsu. Raw, emotional, moving & brilliantly talented.  I have to admit that lately MOST of the MVs that have been coming out have felt, to me, very cookie cutter, very random & chaotic with too much crap shoved it of everything that is supposed to be cool in an over the board attempt to be cool.  but when you try that hard to be cool well it isn't cool.  So I honestly haven't that big a fan of a lot of the MVs recently.  But this one blew my mind.  It was spectacularly simple.  Brilliantly simple.  I LOVED it.  As for the song itself...I think, again this my opinion, it's the perfect sad, break up , unrequited love song.  Perfect for gloomy days, sad days, days when I need a good cry.  It has an OST feel to it.  I could totally picture this song being used in one of those horribly sad breakup, lost love scenes in a K Drama.

And this brings me to my 2nd Fan Girl Krazed moment of today.  I got home from shopping with my kids to pick up the last of my teen's needs for camp & helping my 7 year old pick out his birthday present & found that a big announcement came through for my very first crush.


KIM HYUN JOONG is COMING BACK TO K Dramas!!!  


According to Han Cinema he is anyway....  It doesn't say when BUT he IS coming back...provided that KDramaland doesn't disappoint us again.  {{AKA The City Conquest Debacle}}  The title of his next drama, date unknown, is "Generation of Youth".   Shanghai 1930s Film Noir.  I look forward to more details & will give them on the FB page or my Unnie FB/Twitter pages when I know more.

I CANNOT WAIT!!!  Is the understatement of the year!!


I have loved being able to see him every single week on Barefoot Friends.  I thoroughly enjoyed watching him lose his swim trunks this week racing (& losing) against little pro in training divers.  I have no idea what the BFF concept is for the show as it keeps changing its format & concept each week.  But I LOVE the cast, yes especially KHJ, & I believe they are finally getting comfortable with one another & the newbies are getting comfortable with a camera in their faces too.  So if you haven't BFF check it out when you get the chance.  The first few eps are slow & long but it has picked up its pace quite nicely, even though they still haven't figured out the purpose of the show.

Happy Birthday to Leeteuk

We all know that being a fan of this world that one of the hardest parts of being a crazed Fan Girl is the fact that it is nearly impossible to have just ONE bias.  As much as I adore KHJ, he is not my only bias.  So you see even I, whom it would seem suffers severe tunnel vision in regards to her special guy (who has no idea she exists or would even be remotely interested in the old lady who silently stalks him on the internet) suffers from multiple bias syndrome.  And like many of you, each new drama, each new group, each new singer introduces me to another possible one sided love affair.  About 15 months ago it happened to me with today's birthday tribute.  I liked SuJu well enough, each man quite cute & talented & such different personalities.  Then this one made his I'm going into the military announcement & my Pinterest page was suddenly being flooded by fan girl pins of Leeteuk.  And then I remembered him from the Google K Pop Concert in San Fran last May.  And I remembered how incredibly cute his little dimples, his smile, his personality was.  And I was in love....again.  giggle.

(sigh...the power of cute dimples gets me every stinking time!)

Well, today, (July 1st) I celebrate some of the cutest dimples on the planet as their adorkably sweet/sexy owner turns 30 years old.  Leeteuk you are adorable!!  Never change who you are!

Some facts about Leeteuk.  His real name is Park Jeong-su.  He's a singer/songwriter, actor, & MC/television host.  And he is the leader of the Super K Pop group Super Junior.

He is just 2.5 months from finishing up his first year of military service & has just over one year to go.  And in April 2007, we almost lost Leeteuk in a major car accident.  Alongside 3 other SuJu members & 2 of their managers.  Where he sustained severe injuries; including shards of glass imbedded in his back & above his eyes, that required 170 stitches.  It also messed his spine so badly that when he is shirtless you can see that his upper abs are slightly crooked, they do not line up.  I was sure after that he wouldn't have to serve in active ms but Leeteuk has proven he is a fighter & he is loyal & will not allow anyone stop him.  He is such an amazing person & I am very proud of him, even though I don't actually know him (or he me, for that matter).

So here I am, & Dongsaeng too wanting to wish a remarkable man a very happy birthday!  We are so glad we are able to celebrate your birth, & are so grateful you are still with us.  Sending you love, happiness & wishes for a birthday filled w love from your family, friends & fans.  That you can sincerely feel our best wishes & prayers on your behalf.

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up: {{Happy Birthday Kim Hyun Joong-ssi}}

As of right this moment it is nearly 2 pm in Seoul, South Korea on Thursday June 6th.  Here in Wisconsin, where I live, it is nearly midnight on June 5th.  In just a few more minutes my #1 of all time bias will be another year older.  If you remember last year I wrote him this Bday tribute.  Well, of course I can't possibly re-tribute so here is this year's all new tribute.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KIM HYUN JOONG!!!!!!

This marks my second birthday tribute to the man I call MY KHJ.

{{Yes, I know he isn't actually mine, duh.  Which I am sure my husband really appreciates.}}

I, oh so happily, wish you the very best of days today.  I hope you are being showered w love & lots of praise from your family & from those real friends in your life.   

Now, lest you should think me a stalker or bizarre or insane, whatever adjective works best, I admit I have never actually met you, {{I know that seems like a serious oversight on his part to not make it a priority to meet ME!!  *kekeke*}} AND I sincerely & highly doubt any kind of meeting is in any way shape or form a possibility.  I only know what you & the media surrounding you has allowed me to know.  But, from what I have seen on my computer, the portal through which I get to enjoy all things "Korean", you seem like an incredibly kind, dedicated, loyal man.  Someone is kind to those in need; honest, straightforward, hard working, talented, compassionate & humble.  You are indeed an incredibly good looking man, but to me, along with the outside, it is your inside that seems to speak to me the most.  When I see how much you love & appreciate your fans, of ALL ages, I am truly touched.   The hours you keep, the hard work & effort you put in to making sure your fans are satisfied & happy & entertained is inspiring & enervating.  I truly do wish you only good things; joy, love, success, health, & the stamina & strength to achieving those dreams.  May this year bring you all of those things & many more.  

Now what kind of "Unnie" {{Noona to you KHJ}} would I be if I didn't include a great many delicious pictures for your fans to enjoy?  A terrible Unnie indeed, so without further ado.....

Unnie's Wednesday Write Up {{Or Thursday Write Up Whatever}}: Hyun Bin's Comeback!

Helloooooo... Sorry my post is a little later than usual.  My 2nd born son celebrated his 12th Bday Tuesday which meant I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off all day Tuesday & yesterday was catching up on my responsibilities that I neglected in the bday craze.  Family first you know.  It was a great day but let's get down to business shall we?

Last week I showed you my Krazy, a few of you even showed me yours in return...I cannot {{sniff/sniff}} tell you how much it meant to me that you trusted me & felt safe enough here on TCA that you would show me your Krazy too.  Thank you guys.  SO MUCH!

Well sweetie, I listened.  I hope this doesn't let you down!

I had actually seen this news snippet pass by but was too busy w life, to investigate further or pay any real attention, {{I should be ashamed of myself!!}} so I thank you, humbly, for not letting me skip the opportunity to SQUEEE!!!!  Like an insane person of course.  Just keeping it real folks.  It's how I roll.  {{giggle}}

I immediately logged on to one of my fav K news sources, allkpop.  And found this article here. His FIRST EVER Historical role!!  He will play King Jung Jo "The Unfortunate King" in the movie "The King's Wrath".

I am so incredibly excited!!  I love historical movies so much.  And I LOVE Hyun Bin so much!!  Perfect combo is Hyun Bin IN a Historical movie!!  I cannot wait to see it!  Of course I will have a longer wait that those actually living in Asia...what with my being here in the US & Korean movies aren't exactly shown in my neck of the woods.  Like ever!  >:(  Phooey!  Makes me so mad.  But I have good ... no great... no scratch that awesome ... NO scratch THAT I have amazing friends & they know how to hook a girl up w the K Stuff so I will be able to wait...not patiently...for them to hook me up once again.

The only other Hyun Bin movie I've seen was "Late Autumn".  Such an amazing movie.  I highly recommend it.  But grab a box of tissues.  Seriously.   A wonderful reader {{Thank you S Kdramaphan}} told me it can still be found online at Dramacrazy.net  But I warn you, this site has issues when it comes to malware & viruses.  So make sure you have a good security system on your computer & be careful what you open.  There I warned ya...

To help tide you over OR to wet your whistle & leave you wanting more of this movie, I did manage to find the kiss scene that gave me the most amazing butterfly acrobatics ever!  Like OHMYGOSH that looks SO GOOD!!!

I TOLD YOU SO!!!  OMO!!!! OMO!!! OMO!!! OMO!!! OMO!!  

Oh Hyun Bin I adore you!!!  Thank you for coming back to work so quickly!!  As I was researching this "latest project" I happened upon this little article, where he reveals whether or not he was worried that he would lose popularity from being gone for 2 years for MS?   I love that he was so humble that he was more concerned that his acting be good enough for those of us, which is still probably everyone on the planet who is; SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT HYUN BIN IS AN ACTING GENIUS AND SHOULD NEVER BE TAKEN FOR GRANTED OR OVERLOOKED BECAUSE HE IS SO TALENTED AND SMART AND HANDSOME AND AMAZING, THAT WE WAITED FOR HIS RETURN ON THE EDGE OF OUR SEATS BECAUSE I LOVE HIM SO FLIPPING MUCH!!!!

Was that too much?  I'm never quite sure when my inner fan girl takes over if I should have held her back at least a little bit.  Oh well, it's not like you people didn't know I was Krazy!  Duh!  All I can say is I am so happy he's out of the MS & back to work & I am so excited to see his new "Body of Work"

Unnie's WWU: How I'd love to pick a bias' brain!

This morning while checking my email, eating breakfast & perusing my Twitter/FB feeds I came across a friend's share post of a DF post/video of Jun Il Woo being "interviewed".  Okay it wasn't an interview so much as he was answering fans questions.  It was a cute little video with JIW being is his sweet, cute, funny self.  Sigh worthy & everything.  And I adored watching him blush & chuckle...he chuckled cos real men don't giggle.  ;)  You can find the video here.

And while I did, in fact, LOVE the video I had to SMH at the vapid surface questions that were picked.  I don't know if you guys know this... but I ... am old. *hanging my head*  LOL  I am.  I am a fan girl almost in her *gulp* late 30s.   {Oh how painful it was to use the word "Late" shudder}}  I am, by South Korea's standards, an "ahjumma".  *Shudder* I'd much rather be an "agassi" but that's neither here nor there.  I passed that bridge about a million years & 4 kids ago, at least according to my loving eldest son.  Kids are so awesome! {{There is a real need for a sarcasm font here.}}  And with my birthday looming closer, in just a couple more months, I am aging ever closer to the apex of the "hill" & into passing from "almost" my late 30s to actually being "IN" my late 30s.  GASP!!  My point is that I completely understand that probably 99% of the fan girls out there are in their teens & early 20s.  And therefore the questions they ask are going to be of a certain viewpoint.

Namely "How do I get my Oppa to see me & want to date me as much as I want to date him?"  I also realize that probably 99.9999999% of all bias interviews are going to go through intense screening & pre-approved questions from the agencies/managers etc...that run our bias' lives.  And unfortunately the questions they most approve are the questions that don't really let us know just WHO our bias' really are, especially when they aren't being our bias' but just regular guys/girls.  

Personally, I would love to sit down & discuss life & the pursuit of happiness w several different K stars.  Who wouldn't love to pick the brain of a bias?  I would love to get their viewpoints on a lot of different topics other than where they buy their clothes, how they keep their skin so young looking, what their "Ideal" type is, etc...?   Especially since "Ideals" tend to change as you age & mature.  So what WAS his ideal will most likely morph into something very different in a few years.  My CA is a prime example of how he didn't pick his youthful "ideal" type of girl as his mate.  When he was 21, his sister asked him, this was way before I came on scene, what kind of girls he liked & he told her blonde hair & blue eyes.  Ummm...I don't know if you know this...but I'm a brunette, w big brown eyes.  Dark brown.  He also wanted someone around 5'6" & I am just barely 5'2".  Jokes on him....sucker!   What can I say, I'm hypnotic.  {{It's okay you can roll your eyes, I just did ...@.@}} BTW That how do you keep your skin so young looking seems really pointless to me considering that most of our bias' are in fact YOUNG!  Duh they keep it young by being young!  Ask them again when they're my age.

Wouldn't you like to know if your bias read?  What he reads?  What his political viewpoints are?  If he has any political viewpoints?  Not to argue with him but to just know him/her better.  Wouldn't you like to know if he has a close relationship in his family, what inspires him in life?  How he spends his down time?  Does he love video games or movies more?  What his favorite swear word is? Okay that last one I got from James Lipton & the Actor's Studio interviews he does... I love that question!  IDK why? o.O  And it's mate question what his least favorite swear word is?   How he feels about life, religion, equal rights?  I have a million questions.  Alas I think even were I to be given the opportunity, for some weird reason, most of my questions would probably not pass that screening of the agency in charge.  Or maybe just not pass the option to actually post them in my interview.  So sad.

So my question to you guys...what questions would you like to ask your bias or any bias?  Post your questions in the comments section.  I'd love to hear what else we'd really like to know.  Am I alone in wanting a more intimate interview of a bias?  I think the reality shows like "strong Heart" which has since been revamped into the new show "Incarnation" did/does a pretty good job of going more in depth & I appreciate that.  And honestly I don't "hate" the silly questions like what do you do on a date, I just would like something more to go along with them, something that helps to counter balance the shallow w some depth.

As for myself? Unlike the bias' I don't have an agency, nor do I really have a need for one I know. LOL  But even if I did, I am an open book.  I over share most of the time.  Have a question(s) you want to ask me, ask away!  But be prepared for long winded replies.  I tend to talk...a lot!~~  Seriously...you think my posts are long winded, baby you ain't seen nothing!  Ask Dongsaeng, I'm a talker.  That about covers my thoughts for this week.  Anybody have any questions?  As a thank you for sticking it out with me I'd like to leave you some yummy eye candy...

In the form of the YG Family Special (just pt 1)  from Strong Heart over a year ago.  I wanted to be able to share the G Dragon/Daesung Incarnation episode but I haven't been able to find it subbed....yet.  I will keep on the look out & share it at some future date...unless Dongsaeng beats me to it. :)

Strong Heart is probably one of my favorite "reality" K shows, just behind 1N2D.  I like how they get the stars to open up about their lives & you get to see them be & act ridiculous from time to time.  It's fun to watch them "Ham" it up for the camera, basically it has that good balance I was talking about where you get to see the silly & the more in depth.  


I hope the video gives you a few good chuckles & that you have an excellent rest of the week.  Look for my IMY reviews both of them Thursday night.  As this Friday is Good Friday it means my kids' Spring Break begins & I will probably not be doing any reviews next week or a WWU while they are on vacay, it's FAMILY TIME! ^_^   Really hoping the weather here warms up for the holiday.  Come on SPRING!!!

Unnie's WWU: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONGSAENG

In the essence of time because I don't have a lot of it as I leave for Phoenix/So Cal/ Dongsaeng/ Big Bang {{PHEW!!  That Is A Lot To Get Ready For!!}} in less than 24 hours my Wednesday Write Up includes a Birthday tribute to the best little sis on the planet!!!

What can I write about the woman who changed my life...for the better?  If she hadn't had the courage to tell me she was watching a Korean drama a year & a half ago I might not be watching them myself.  I might not be listening to K Pop.  I might not be getting ready to go on the trip of a lifetime to see her & meet new friends & see only one of the most epic , sexy, talented, hot, fierce, sexy, did I mention sexy? group of men gathered together to form a band ever!!!!

BUT  More than even that, which is enough for me to worship at her feet, this woman has been right next to me for going on 7 years helping me to battle the demon chasing my family.  All I asked for was a cooler full of ice.  That's it.  It's all I thought I needed.  But Omo!!  Someone knew how much I needed her.  Someone knew how very much I needed this amazingly compassionate, selfless, considerate, caring, funny, intelligent, spiritually lifting woman in my life.  She is more than just my best friend.  She has stood by me when my heart was breaking, she has watched me writhe in pain & been there to help make me feel better, she has cared for my children as much as I do.  She has lifted & supported, & most importantly, loved me; even when I am not lovable.  She has never judged me when in the depths of despair, while fighting my son's disease, I have railed against God for this pain.  Instead she listens patiently & understandingly & lovingly as I express my anguish & then she offers me love & reminds me to never give up my faith for anger or despair.  She is funny & sarcastic & pithy & witty & clever & sweet & I heart her almost as much as I do my CA & kids.  And yes...to answer your question, right now as I write this post, I'm tearing up w/ gratitude, that she was willing to be my bestest friend in the whole wide world!

Today is her birthday.  That's right my Dongsaeng is a Halloween baby.  Once upon a time I threw her a huge Halloween Surprise {{No, she wasn't surprised}} Birthday Bash.  I miss so much that I haven't been there every year since, just down the street, to make it a yearly tradition.  But this year, the day after her birthday, I will fly out of WI & to AZ & we will celebrate her birthday all weekend long; in Fantastic Baby / BigBang style.  I am so excited to see her again!!  To get a great big hug & squeee all girly & silly with her over Big Bang.  To hop in the car Friday morning & road trip our ahjumma butts to So Cal w/ a car stereo blasting K Pop the whole dang way!!  To walk the streets of Korea Town in LA with her & stay up late in our hotel room recapturing our youth.

Shan, I know you hate this kind of gushing attention, that you are shy, & would much rather blend in to the background 9 times out of 10.  But you are just the most amazing person I know & I think the entire world should shout Happy Birthday to you from their rooftops!  I hope you don't get mad at me for my birthday tribute & my gushing about how awesome I think you are today & every day.  I hope you know how truly blessed I feel having your friendship in mine & my family's life.  Thank you so much for putting up with my insanity.  You are amazing.  And there are great blessings awaiting you for being willing to deal with my Hot Mess of a life.  :)  I love you oodles & gobs & hope your birthday {{weekend}} rocks socks!!

A TCA Challenge

Yay!! It's the weekend!! 


But as you guys know Unnie & Dongsaeng get hopping busy on the weekends with all our kids & hubs at home. So much to do. 

But I want to keep you guys entertained, so I thought I would give you a

TCA Challenge 

A few months ago I pinned this picture of Kim Hyun Joong to my KHJ Pinterest Board, which now has 1125 KHJ pins, thank you very much!  No does obsessed dedicated & loyal like I do.    Anyway, Dongsaeng gave it that awesomely funny caption!

I LOVED it & laughed & laughed!!  That Dongsaeng is so funny!  

Let's see who is up for the challenge, I would be so sad face if no one joined in the fun. 

My challenge is this:
